Will Good/decent Colleges Accept Me

I feel like no college will accept me?

I have absolutely nothing that will make me desirable to colleges except my decent grades I guess (I'm a sophomore and the rest are a's except 3 b's). I don't really have anything to write for extracurriculars since I'm not really interested. I honestly don't like helping people for that selfish reason of writing it on college apps. I don't do sports, I literally come home straight from school everyday. I don't really feel interested in the extra curriculars that my school offers or anywhere else really. Please help

3.45 GPA good enough to get into some decent colleges?

If you've ever been to a recruiting seminar by a top university, they love telling you one thing. They say everyone always asks them whether it's better to take harder classes and get a B or take easier classes and get an A. The fact is, you're supposed to take harder classes and still get the A.

But GPA isn't everything. Take the SAT or ACT. Take the SAT-II's. Study your *** off for all of those. More importantly, get really heavily involved in all extracurricular activites your school offers. Sports, clubs, community service. And don't just join them, take a leadership position. Hold an office. If you put down that you were class president and started an partnership between your school and Habitat for Humanity that you got many of your classmates to participate in, that looks a hell of a lot more impressive than just bumping your GPA from 3.45 up to 3.8.

Are there some decent colleges in Delhi University that will accept an 85 percent mark in class 12 for a BCom program?

You can get a college at 85 in bcom but not in the hons course.

3.5 GPA, 1400 SAT :(( Will any decent school accept me?

3.5 UC GPA (No Honors, No AP)
SAT: 400 Reading, 450 Writing, 550 Math) = 1,400
EC: 3 Years of Football, Soccer & Tennis.
I moved to America from Sweden in 9th grade and I'm fluent in four languages: Swedish, English, Greek, and French.
I'm applying for Fall 2012.

I attend a very prestigious High School in San Francisco, and I'm applying to:
1. UC Davis
2. UC Santa Barbara
3. UC Santa Cruz
4. UC Merced
5. CSU San Francisco
6. CSU San Jose

Are any of these schools going to accept me? What do you think?

Is a 2.51 G.P.A. good enough to get into college?

My freind is a graduate from UC Riverside and has been putting me
down recently. He said I would be lucky if they would even accept me @ San Jose State which is where I want to go.

I worked really hard in community college but I feel hopeless with his comments.

would any college accept me? If so who?

If I get very good grades in my first year at a decent college, does that mean I have a solid chance of transferring to a very good school that would not have accepted me before?

I think it depends on how much better of a school you are looking at.Its impossible to transfer to a school like MIT or Stanford - they graduate nearly everybody that walks in the front door, leaving no room for transfers. The rules are different for transfer students. You don’t necessarily compete with incoming freshman. But if your grades went up significantly compared to high school, then you might do better. Just make sure to plan ahead, get an associates, and make sure you don’t fall behind on your major course. If you are trying to transfer from an unranked 4 year school with a 100% acceptance rate to a decent school, then I think you have a good chance. It doesn’t cost that much to apply, so why not try?

Is 92 a good score in nata? What colleges will I get for this mark?

Honestly, 92 in NATA is an average score. Also, your admission to any Architecture college in India depends on your NATA score and your 12th Board marks. So your NATA score out of 200 will be converted into marks out of 100 and your 12th marks will be added to it which will give you your Final Merit score.Anything above 130 will get you into a very good college (Private) and a score above 150 is required if you want admission in a government college. Anything between 100 and 130 will get you into a decent college and if your score is below 100 then it might be a little difficult to get into a college of your choice. Now you have two options, if you are confident enough that you will get a score above 90% in Boards then its okay to go ahead with this NATA score or else work hard and give NATA again as you can attempt NATA five times and your highest score is considered out of all the attempts that you make. I hope that helps! All the best! :)

With a C in AP calculus can i still get into a decent college? ...stressing me out so jmuch?

i was the best math student in my grade from 6th to 10th grade... now i'm a junior and i just don't understand calculus at the pace we're learning it and most of the other people in my class get it fine but i'm barely understanding anything and i've gotten 60, 63, 68, and 69 on my last four tests and it seems like its too late to go back and relearn everything, and i don't have any time for a tutor because i play sports and i have 3 other AP classes and 4-6 hours of homework a night. i know i'll never get into a really good school without straight A''s but what colleges do you think would accept a C and a bad score on the AP test? i'm so stressed out about calc i actually cry about it every few weeks when i am trying to do my homework and i can't. ughhahw

Can I get into college without having good grades?

Absolutely. In many cases, students who performed poorly or average in high school do extremely well in college and vice versa. Your GPA is just one factor that goes into your college transcript; officers will also take into account standardized tests scores, extracurricular involvement and personal background in determining your admissions chancesOf course, you will be a bit more limited to what colleges are within reach; I highly doubt a student with a 2.3 GPA can get accepted to Harvard without being seriously gifted in other respects. It’s important to note, however, that in this day in age, where you obtained your degree is of far less importance than if you obtained it. It’s probably better you attend a community college before transferring to a four-year school if you think you’d struggle, though the option is still there for you.Speaking of degrees, I think the single most important factor of being successful in college and—-subsequently—life is your chosen major. Obviously, an aspiring biologist or lawyer will have a much greater reason to attend college and get their degree than a writer or programmer, both of which don’t really require any secondary education. For less competitive academic fields, it’s really a matter of wether or not you want to continue your studies at all.Your circumstances and choices play just as large of an importance as that A+ on your transcript in determining college choices.
