Will Health Insurance Coverage End If 20 Year Old Drops Out Of College

Am I obligated to carry health insurance for my 22 year old stepson?

My stepson has made it clear that he does not need or want his father, myself or his two brothers in his life. He has stated that as far as he's concerned they are not his family. If he doesn't need any of us, then he shouldn't need my health insurance and I would like to remove him from my plan at open enrollment next week. Am I obligated to carry health insurance for him or is it ok for me to remove his coverage?

What to do if you can't afford health insurance?

It must be more of that phony information going around. If you can't afford health insurance you can't afford $3,800. I guess we'll all end up in jail where they feed, house, educate and have free health care.

Is life insurance worth it?

I'm currently a freshmen in college, and my family asked me if I want to help pay $75 for my dad's life insurance and $40 for myself in the future. I'm really uncertain to help pay because I don't make enough. On average per month, I get $500 to $600. With that check, I pay $240 for my car insurance and $50-$80 for utility. That is about $320 out of my check. That would leave me with 3 to 400 in my pocket. Most of those money goes straight to gas, since I commute from school a lot. I do go out sometime, because at a young age, my parent were strict. I never got to go out with friends, so leaving my hometown was a opportunity to have fun. In general, for gas and outdoor stuff, I spend at least 200 in a month. Should I help my family pay for the life insurance and should I do one for myself?

Life Insurance?

Two years ago my sister died after a drunk driver run a red light and crashed into her SUV. She had two kids and no life insurance. Things where very hard when it came to the funeral arrangements, we all had to pitch in (some of us end up spending all of our savings). My older sister decided to keep her children and even though she doesn't say anything, we all know that adding two members to a family of 5 is extremely hard and expensive.

I decided that buying life insurance is the best thing to do but I don't know much about the process. I don't know what kind of insurance I should buy, long term vs. short term (considering that its only me (27yrs) and my 4-year-old baby boy), how much should i buy it for and for how many years, etc..

Can anyone help me, give me information, and or maybe share your own experiences with me?
I would really appreciate it.
