Will I Be Able To Pay Off A Dubai Loan If I Will Get New Job In Another Country

Can banks in Dubai go after you in your home country for unpaid debts in the UAE?

A loan is actually a private contract between you and the bank. The bank does not have power and is not connected to the government as people usually think. The bank cannot ban you from travelling or chase you around. They can only legally file a civil case against you in the UAE and usually the judge is very considerate with your circumstances.Banks and lawyers love to spread scary propaganda about what happens if you don't pay your loans, because that's the only thing they can do.Every loan you take is insured by the bank, and if you don't pay it, the bank will eventually get the cash back from their insurance company. They will try filing cases, but if you leave the country it's a dead end for them. What happens in countries like Bangladesh/India/Pakistan , where there is a high level of corruption and gangs, the insurance company buys your loan and then employs gangsters in your country to harass you, but that is not legal and you are not legally obliged to pay them, but you'll have to employ dirty tactics too to avoid them, or live off the radar for a while until they give up.Also, if your loan is a huge amount, like 1 million dollars for example, in the UAE you will first be initiated with a criminal case (cheque fraud), but as long as you are present and plead innocent they will close that, and then you can avoid the debt after that because after the criminal case it's just a civil case. If you're not present for the criminal case it can go to Interpol (if it's a big amount like that).

I Have Worked in UAE Dubai 5 yrs, a GCC Country, and left With Unpaid Debts?

I have worked in UAE -Dubai ( GCC Country) for 5 yrs and i have bank debts (Credit cards and personal loans and car loans) in that country and i came back to India without paying them back.
Basically i am from India. What can i do other than this if i don’t have a job. Its been 2 years now since i left Dubai

I got a job again in a GCC Country. If i secure the visa, i can take the offer and go to the country to work? First of all if i have debts in a GCC country, will i get a visa to work in another GCC country? Suppose if i get the visa and started working I will not apply any credit card or loans in the GCC country .I will have only the salary account. UAE can extradit me from other GCC and put me in Jail? Or if the other GCC country know that i have debts in UAE, they can arrest me?

If the UAE issues arrest warrant thats applicable only in UAE right? They can issue GCC arrest warrant to arrest in any GCC country?

UAE can block me entering other GCC countries? or they can arrest me in any of the GCC airports when i arrive?

Please clarify all the things as soon as possible. So that i can decide myself to go and work in another GCC

1. Will i get a other GCC country visa , if i have debts in UAE ?

2.will i get arrested if i go to any other GCC?

3. If the UAE issues arrest warrant thats applicable only in UAE right? They can issue GCC arrest warrant to arrest in any GCC country?

4.If the immigration systems are not shared by the GCC countries how UAE will come to know if i am in other GCC country

Please let me know

I have unpaid car loan in dubai.?

I was scanned IRIS when I enterd Duabi in 2008 but had to leave in a rush when Iost my job. The bank lady told me to park my car somwhere and get out of the country. I followed her stupid advice and did not even bother to cancel my visa. Now if I go back on different country passport(canada) would I be in any legal trouble? The bank says I owe them around 20,000 as they sold the car and got 35000 from my account. They keep on putting interest and fines and it has doubled in 2 years. I had bought some property there and I want to go to dispose it off or to find out if it is still there. Thanks.

Is Dubai its own country?

Okay, I have to do a project for my Ecology class. My teacher gave everyone in my class a country to research. We must reseach things such as: background of the country, when it was established, flag colors, traditions, culture, type of Gov., currancy, native tounge. ect. Well, my teacher gave me the country Dubai. I don't believe it is its own country. Right? I may be mistaken, but my teacher is a little nutty. He says Dubai, is pronounced Dub-i & its in India. How can a country be "IN" another country. lol. He even wrote Dubi on my paper. Silly man! My question would be is Dubai its own country? If not would it be dificult for me to do this project? Thank you.

What happens if someone is not able to pay off the personal loan after losing job in India?

If someone loses his/her job and is unable to pay a personal loan, the following takes place-The financial institution keeps sending recovery notices for three months at a stretchWhen the EMIs still remain unpaid, the lender declares this loan account as a non performing asset (NPA)Thereafter, the financial institution undertakes preparation for starting legal proceedings against the borrower for recovering the duesNo individual can escape his/her liabilities even if he/she loses a job after taking a personal loan. When such a situation occurs, it is best to be honest with one’s lender and explain the defaulting reasons. Always make sure that whenever you have money, the priority should be to pay off outstanding debts at the earliestTry and take your lender into confidence and work out an arrangement likewise. Whenever you get money in hand, pay off the pending amount as fast as you can. This will minimize the damages on your credit score.

Am I allowed to travel to other GCC countries if I have a UAE bank loan ban?

If you just have a loan , you can travel where ever you want .If you have failed to pay back the loan - Normally you can travel across GCC countries except UAE .if the bank has registered compliant against you in police of failed loan payments ,most of the time your application for new visa will be rejected from your home country to enter UAE , and if you are in UAE , you can not leave country ,until and unless you settle the loan amount ,And if you get a connection flight via any airport in UAE , you might be caught by UAE authorities . I hope you are aware about how strong the identification system in UAE airports .GCC countries have inter connected criminal identification system related to national security and crimes like murder , but not for civil cases .

Run away from Dubai?

No, I don't have any criminal record....I didn't take a loan, I've never had problems with police. I just left the country without informing my employer.
I'm not able to contact with the employer, they dont reply to calls, mails...
But anyway, now for me it's more important to know if transit through Dubai is possible. Will I be deported then ?

P.S. I'm going to work on the ship, that's why I'm wondering about transit

What is the best way to find a job in Dubai?

Do you want the truth? None of them. Unless of course your job profile is so unique that the employer cannot find or locate a person of your skill or calibre.Keep this much in mind - at the end of the day these Job Sites are in existence ONLY to make money. They do not care if you are the right candidate or if the client is happy - They are interested in making their money because they need to cover their expenses. And they exist to make money. So if you have the normal-run-of-the-mill job profile, then either you will never get called or if you do get called - they will employ you in droves - that is only if a company is starting from scratch (Hotel or Large Establishment). And over there - they will always go for the cheapest and best deals - which is why they normally employ people from Asia directly from agents. My suggestion to you is either check Gulf News or go through references. Thats it. And the ONLY way you will get a worthwhile job in the Middle East is through Contacts (or as they call VASTAA) in the Middle East. Please do not bank your hopes on Job Sites as 90% of all the jobs advertised are either Fake to collect Resumes for their Resume Bank or just to show the public that they have a massive demand for jobs. After all - they need to keep the ball rolling right?Loy Machedo
