Will I Be Accepted Into Ucla Or Uci With A Bachelor

How did Rahul get accepted for a bachelor’s in Polito, through the test or the SAT?

I will soon make a video answer :)

Can I be accepted into UCI?

Those grades aren't bad. Hell, they're good enough for maybe the big 3. UCSD-worthy. But it sounds like you're just trying to take those classes not because you want to, but because you are forced to.

But have you done anything other than schoolwork? UC's look for diverse people. Grades, honestly, aren't everything. SAT's aren't everything. Community involvement...clubs, leadership experience, work etc.. are important.
Your personal essay is a pretty big deciding factor as well.

Depending on what you want to do as a career...take those AP's. They really are beneficial. I BS'd my way through my calculus course in high school and regretted it, because it turns out it is really useful in college.
Don't just take these classes just to look good on your transcript for college. They really are useful later in college.
Take another year of spanish if you'd like, but that thing about 6 classes during senior year...complete BS. I had like 4 classes my senior year and I got into UC Berkeley. It's really more about you as a person overall and what you do in AND out of school.
But yes, take those AP's and challenge yourself.

Anyway, to answer your main question, yes they look good enough for UCI.
I know people who just do schoolwork and be lazy and get like a 3.3 GPA and got in. But don't be like them.

UCLA or UCI... Help Pleaseee?

UCLA hands down. unless you're really worried about the living cost.

UCLA or UCI to which school should I go for biology major???

I went to UCLA (majored in Math), and dated someone who went to UCI, so I'm very familiar with both campuses. Even though I will always be a loyal Bruin, both are excellent schools and will look very good on any resume or applications in the future. (I took a few Bio courses at UCLA and learned a lot ... they were tough precisely because there were a lot of pre-meds like you.) However, in the long run, the school you went to just a line item on an application. What's way more important (especially as an undergraduate) is that you are happy where you are ... as *that* is what affects how well you perform and how much you learn. I.e. does the campus, culture, student body, professors, etc. all suit you. UCLA is a little larger as far as headcount, but not much (I think it's about 19,000 undergrads at UCI, and 24,000 at UCLA).

Another thing to consider is how close you want to live to home. Saving rent is an *enormous* plus. And this can ease you into the college environment your freshman year. But you need to decide if and when moving out will be part of the college experience, or a distraction from the med-school goal.

Bottom line: You want things to be comfortable for yourself, but not *too* comfortable. You won't learn as much if things are too easy or too cozy.

Remember, the goal is not just to learn about life science (Biology), but about *life*.

Good luck!

UCI or UCLA?

I am planning to major in either psychology or nursing. I got accepted into both UCI & UCLA. I love UCLA because it's not too far and not too close to home and it's a beautiful campus. UCI is wayyy too close to home and it doesn't appeal to me. Plus it won't give me a chance to grow as much because it feels like home. However the problem is that UCI is basically paying my whole tuition for me and I would need to take out a $9000 loan/year for LA. Which school would be the wiser/better choice?

Is it realistic if I get into UCLA or UCI?

Having studied at both a UC school and then transferring to a state school and recently going through this stage in life with my two children, gives me a slight insight into more of the decision making process than a predictor of acceptance, but I believe it should be noted….My first question to you is …. why is your desire so great to attend a UC school? Are these two universities somehow outstanding in your desired studies, or have you been lured by the golden aura that surrounds these school’s names?Rather than focus your efforts on admission to a highly impacted school system, (some 100,000 applicants - senior high school students wishing to enter — each year and only admitting 17,000 and enrolling only 6500 new students,) focus your current efforts on discovering the school and system that will be the best for your continued education in the area that interests you.The name of the school you attended, in the long run, usually has little impact on your success in the future. However, the education you received at your school is the greatest impact on your life overall. Pick the school, not the name.Admission isn’t always a numbers game, but with the number of applicants each year, UCLA begins their arduous task with cut-offs. Such as if 95 percent of the applicants have scored 1400 on the SAT, and you haven’t, then this is the first hole you’ll fall in to. (A bit more complicated than that, but you get the picture….)By the way, how can you plan on scoring 1400 on the SAT? I am sure there are many students that would LOVE to predict that. Seriously, if these schools are truly the path you wish to take, I’d say no matter what, get creative with your application and dazzle the heck out of ‘em.Good luck on your endeavors. The best is yet to come.
