Will I Ever Get Over This Bad Shroom Trip

How would a bad shroom trip be prevented?

Like everyone else said, you need to have a "baby sitter," someone who will be sober during your trip and willing to drive, take you places, and do whatever you and whoever else is tripping want to do. Basically the sitter should be there to make sure no one tries to do anything stupid, but for the most part the sitter should stay out of the way unless needed. However, the sitter needs to be someone you know, trust, and are very comfortable with, along with the other people who are tripping. That is the most important thing. Make sure you are comfortable with your environment and the people you are with. I know "someone" who tripped with two people she didn't know and it was very uncomfortable and could have easily led to a bad trip.

If you get scared easily, don't walk around the woods in the dark or crawl into dark caves or anything like that. Also, you should plan a fun adventure, like go hiking, etc.

And probably most importantly, you shouldn't go into it WORRIED about a bad trip. Any negative feelings you have may manifest themselves as a bad trip. So think positive, and hopefully everything should be fine. My best friend actually had a bad trip and it seemed like she would never get out of it, but I made her comfortable by laying on her bed with her and listening to cool music that made it sound like we were underwater and I told her we were jellyfish and that made her laugh and she was fine again.

So have a sitter, be with best friends so you aren't afraid to act ridiculous, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! =D

How to come down from a bad shroom trip?

The thing about shrooms is that you can go to sleep even while you're tripping, they're not like LSD. I would recommend taking a Xanax and a nap. At least go in a dark room with some chill music that's familiar to you and try to focus on the music.
Don't overstimulate yourself-- it'll be too intense. Don't forget that you're an invincible creature channeling all the power of the mushroom-- that helps. And don't forget that it will wear off and you'll be fine.
Oh yeah-- one thing that I find really really comforting is cuddling my cat. She is so sweet and her fur looks beautiful.

How do you prevent having a bad trip on mushrooms?

Let me start off by saying there are no bad trips, just challenging ones. You can prepare all you want but nothing will guarantee the mushroom won't give you a tough time. And you should consider the possibility that this might be exactly what you need.Psilocybin drug surveys have shown 39% of people rated their experience as one of the top 5 most challenging psychological experiences of their lifetime. Sounds pretty scary right?Well 46% said they would willingly repeat the experience including the difficult parts and 84% said they benefited from them.People in psilocybin drug trials for depression are encouraged to surrender to the experience. You should never fight it. If they feel their going insane then that's ok, they're told go ahead be insane. If they feel like they're dying then great, go ahead and see what's it's like to die.I had my own challenging trip and I'm greatful for it. No one goes through life having only good experiences. Having this so called bad trip gives you new insight and teaches you that good and bad are two sides of the same coin. That's just what life is and it's OK. That's sort of a cliche and anyone could tell you that but the mushroom shows it to you in a new way that gives it an authority and makes it an objective truth.Find the darkest corner of your basement and shine your light there. Don't run from your demons face them.

How can a bad trip on shrooms affect you?

I did shrooms 2 weeks ago. For 2.5 hours I was in severe anxiety. All the demons I had kept caged inside just burst out and said: deal with us. To top it off, there was no one single coherent thought in my mind that could be my gravity, per se. Nothing to anchor me to reality. I just had to deal with the demons.Lucky for me, my experience with zen meditation became my saving grace. I could not fight the anxiety, so I decided to accept it with all of my heart. I accepted all the demons, and one by one I let go of them.I was having an intense visual bad trip (the visuals weren't bad, the trip was). I was surrounded in a vortex of colour and light in intricate geometric patterns and I fell forward into it. Suddenly I saw ropes attached to my chest. As I acknowledged, accepted and let go of each of my demons, a knot opened. There were around 12 knots that opened and after the last one, I could breathe properly.I was then shirtless in a meadow with 10 shamans 'purging' me. Rubbing something off of my skin very frantically. I didn't dislike the feeling; I didn't particularly like it either. But once they were done, I opened my eyes and had the best trip. However, I noticed that in the past 2 weeks since the trip, I have a lot of latent anxiety. I am scared, somewhat, of that helpless feeling. It was nothing less than mental torture.Other than the anxiety and sporadic anxiety attacks (which can be controlled after a bit of effort, breathing and perhaps zen meditation), there is nothing which is actively affecting me. Or it has not been identified just yet.

How come some people are prone to bad shroom trips more than others?

I've had one bad muschroom trip, wait no, 2. it was a combination of things... and I felt something about being around So many people at once, in a sort of unpureish setting. I felt odd and had an odd experiences. Once I actually haden't eaten anything but a starburst (1 Pink starburst piece) and me and some friends took shrooms at my Boyfriend's house I ate like a half ounce or more I believe and the high wasn't coming on so we smoked some weed and I got lightheaded and fell straight forward, hit a chair then the garage floor. I still have a scar on my philtrum.

BEST trips were (and I've had 2 not great and 2 good ones) in a nature park, and walking trails and going to a lake beach with 1 or more friends each time. I would probably not want to do phychedelics or any drugs, alchohol anymore ever again. But a good sense of freedom and nature when the Sun is Shining, what a great atmosphere for that kind of thing.

Will valium get you out of a bad trip?

Well if you're even slightly worried about a bad trip, don't take them. Honestly, a bad trip is very uncommon so you shouldn't be afraid at all. And it's not like you have no control over getting one or not. It's not like you take them and hope for the best. Just relax and remember that the experience is going to be one of the most amazing things that you'll probably ever live through. If you are happy before you take them, and are excited about taking them, you definitely won't have a bad trip. But don't take more than 2.25 grams for a first time or else the effects could be slightly unexpected. I would recommend taking 1.75 grams (half an 1/8). You won't have a bad trip, that's a pretty low dose, but you'll still have a low to medium amount of visuals, and you will feel absolutely euphoric. Just remember that during the come up (the first like 40 minutes), your muscles will tense up and it will feel a bit uncomfortable, leading you to believe that the trip will be too intense. Just ride it out for like half an hour and it will turn into a completely soothing and relaxing body high.

If you are tripping on shrooms will you know what ur doing??

Exampe: if i trip on shrooms and i think im swimming in jelly but acculey drowding in a lake, will i know what im doing (like would i kno right from wrong and know what to do)

What happens when you have a " bad" trip on shrooms?

It is definitely safe to take shrooms, because they are completely natural. However, once you take them, I wouldn't drive a car or anything like that. A bad trip on shrooms is pretty scary and f*cked up. I have taken them plenty of times, and only had a bad trip once. The only time I had a bad trip was when I was at a party and there was WAY too much activity going on around me, which kind of freaked me out. (By freaking out, I mean I started to have a panic attack because my reality around me was affected by my mental state before I took the shrooms and what was going on while I was taking them.) My advice would be to do shrooms when you are already in a good/happy mood BEFORE you take them. Your current mind state before eating them can definitely influence how your trip will go. If you are really stressed out/pissed off/sad/etc before taking them, this could influence your trip and could make it turn sour really fast. When a shroom trip goes well, it is absolutely a fun experience. I hope you have a good time, and be safe. :)

Are shrooms bad for you?

Schrooms are very interesting. They have been used in rituals around the world for a long time for their mind altering effects. They are also being studied for their potential to treat mental problems, such as depression. Unlike a lot of other drugs, schrooms are not physically addictive and can have long lasting effects. They can change your personality if you will. In a way, during a trip your ego gets dissolved. You and your environment become more intertwined. When you come down from the trip, your brain has to settle and depending on how you are coming down, it settles differently than it was before. Some people report of "feeling more open" to the world or less depressed for months or years after a trip. However, if you have a bad trip it can be very unpleasant. There can also be long-term damage. If you have an underlying mental illness or are at risk for psychosis it can trigger it. The thing is, the brain is a complex organ and there is always a risk when taking a substance that messes with the brain. You can't know 100% what will happen. But there are more and more studies coming out saying that the risk is relatively small with schrooms.Either way, the key is to have a good set up. Make sure you are calm and supervised by a person that is NOT on drugs. Don't try to have a "fun" experience and set up stimulating activities. It is best to be in nature (but somewhere safe) where you can relax in quiet. Try to be and stay calm throughout. And start with a small dose. In summary, there is always a risk, but overall schrooms are one of the safer drugs with potential to have positive effects on the mind.
