NO Banks ot Post Office's are open on Bank Holidays - it's regarded as a Sunday. And EXTREMELY limited Public Transport runs on a Bank Holiday as well - people who rely on buses in my area can NOT go anywhere between 4.30 pm on Sunday and 7.30 am on Tuesday.

What do you make of Muslims in a Tesco XMas advert?

If you go along the streets where our local Muslims live, you will find that lots of them put up lights for Christmas. In fact they are some of the most colourful streets around.

I don't know if they are celebrating the birth of the prophet Jesus, I doubt it, but they are certainly joining in with most of the rest of the country, who are putting lights up to brighten up a dismal winter.

Actually, I doubt that most people in the country are celebrating the randomly chosen date for the birth of some bloke in Judea, it's just an excuse for a holiday.

How much do flowers cost in tesco?

I had an ex that whenever we would argue he would say if you knew better then you would do better and it took me four years to know better and to do better so I'm going yo tell you he isn't right for you and trust me you certainly can do better and I'm more than sure that it is just the being alone that has you wanting him back so I say If you dont stand for anything then you will fall for anything. What do you stand for I hope it's not letting people run all over you! Good luck mama!

How tesco achieved thier aims and objectives?

One fresh foods depot. Up to five hundred deliveries per day. Thousands of pounds of perishable goods that could be ruined by mistakes. This was the situation facing Tesco - the response to date had been over manning and the costs were heavy.
Annualised hours took all of the problems away.
It was a system that gave them complete flexibility. An improved shift structure coupled with “banked” hours ensured that skilled staff were always on hand. And, when demand rose, managers could raise additional resource easily.
This simple but effective regime enabled Tesco to rationalise its systems and, using off-the-shelf technology, they improved communication, management and product tracking to the extent that 98% of deliveries arrived within 15 minutes of their allotted time.
On top of this, payroll was lowered. Because while staff worked just as hard, overtime was eliminated. Hard work was instead rewarded by longer holidays and guaranteed rates of pay.
A lower payroll was welcome, however, the constant availability of skilled staff was the real benefit. Tesco now had the flexibility to enable accurate delivery even when demand shifted day by day. It ensured that no goods perished. Instead, 99.9% arrived in a condition that met the high expectations of both customers and company.
