Will I Get In Trouble For Quiting

How can I quit my job without getting trouble with my boss?

Ha! Do you think your boss loses sleep when he lays off an employee? In the United States, employers can be sued if they give you a bad recommendation. You have the right to make a living for your family and corporations have discovered the hard way based on many court cases that juries have no sympathy to corporations who bad mouth a lowly employee trying to feed his family.Try to give two weeks notice. Minimum is one week notice. Only if you found a fabulous job that demands you start “NOW!” should you give them less than a week to find your replacement.Do NOT retard your career growth by worrying about the feelings of your employer. They do NOT care about you.

How much legal trouble can you get in if you stop showing up to your job?

You are free to quit your job at any time. You cannot be sued for quitting. You cannot be sued for simply failing to show up, however, you can (and will) be fired by any legitimate employer. You will eventually want to work again, so regardless of how much you hate your current job, it is best to leave under the best terms possible. Future employers will contact this one, and Tops Supermarket will have the legal right to not only say they wouldn't rehire you, but to describe in detail the behaviors that led them to that conclusion. Such a discussion is protected by legal privilege, so as long as they're not lying (accusing you of theft or drug use, for example, when you haven't done either), they have the right to communicate their dissatisfaction with you to potential employers who contact them. In that context, it would be to your advantage to quit, rather than be fired.
I hope this information helps. Best of luck.

Can I get in legal trouble for leaving a job after 3 days?

In the United States, unless the job is in the military or certain other specific government jobs where "failure to report" is specified as a crime, in general at most all you can get is fired.  If you received any sort of advance pay or hiring bonus, you might be forced to return it, but even that's difficult.

Does a boss ever get in trouble when a staff member quits?

Absolutely, yes. There is a catch, however. All bad management starts at the top. If you’re dealing with a bad line manager or Director, chances are good that their boss also has issues. Many Managers are fearful, and operate under poor information conditions with uncertainty and doubt. This is because they don’t understand the #1 most important thing about being a leader. To know your business and your people in a way that makes you an effective leader, you MUST be there with them on the front lines with your boots on the ground (at least in some capacity). Relying upon others to provide your information makes you susceptible to disinformation and being ‘managed up’.The other quality for upper management to be effective in managing poor performance with their directs is to not be fearful of reprisals. Effective and direct action is far better than lingering investigation and indecision. For those middle and upper management who understand the synergistic opportunities exposed by committed personnel and high performing teams, employee retention and turnover are key focus areas that they can actively influence to achieve company goals. It’s been my experience that the vast majority of executives and middle managers have either dismissed or forgotten these fundamentals. Companies have dismantled most corporate training programs that would enable successful transition from high performing contributors to entry level management, which puts companies at risk due to foundational HR, people and management issues.

I quit my YMCA job and then I escaped and PLZ HELP will I get in trouble now?

What they did to you when they locked you up in the conference room could be considered breaking the law. There are laws about un-lawfully holding someone. The only thing they could possibly get you for is the price of the windows and the fire extingusher.

But yelling "I quit!" at your boss and stripping off your shirt and showing your bra aren't against the law.
