Will I Need Braces Tooth Grew Out In Wrong Spot

Tooth growing in the wrong place?

Yes, I will ask my dentist but the offices are closed right now and I'm just really curious and can't wait until tomorrow. :D

Recently I just noticed that there's a tooth growing on top of another near my gums.

I can't SEE it yet since it's still growing, but I can notice how my gums are pushing out at that one spot.
It's really annoying and makes my smile weird, lol.

QUESTION: Will the dentist pull out the tooth that's in the way, or the one that's growing over it?

Do I need braces??????????? my teeth hurt bad, answer soon.?

ok, so a long time ago my bottom teeth fell out, then grew in crooked. all my teeth fell out by now. the bottom teeth are still crooked, but lately they have been hurting really bad, like it keeps me up, and i start crying. i cant find anything similar to this on here so i had to ask it now, and ive never had braces before, or a retainer or anything

My 5 y/o's permanent bottom front tooth is growing in wrong. How bad is this?

As you mentioned, some of her teeth are falling out, and more will; that's normal. But your concern about a tooth coming in wrong should be questioned. Children's teeth move around a lot in the early years as teeth are falling out and being replaced. However, it is important that the permanent teeth come in properly. You may want to see a pediatric dentist (a specialist in dealing with children's dental issues), or an orthodontist. A tooth such as that can be "guided" into proper position, but it really needs a professional consultation.

Do teeth spread back out after braces are removed?

The short answer is yes. After braces are removed, it’s important to wear retainers, whether removable or permanent, to keep teeth from moving back to where they started. When I was young, patients were advised to wear retainers for a year after the braces were removed. Then, when I was a dental student, that changed to ten years. Now, we believe you should wear retainers forever.

Is it necessary to get my wisdom teeth pulled out if they aren't causing any pain? Ultimately I'm looking to get braces.

This usually depends on the individual situation.  In most cases, wisdom teeth aren't required to be extracted for braces to work.  Sometimes, the wisdom teeth can prevent 2nd molars from properly erupting into the mouth even in the absence of pain and need to be extracted.  In a small subset of patients who may require jaw surgery, the wisdom teeth are often extracted to facilitate surgical jaw correction.  Oftentimes, if the wisdom teeth are partially erupted into the mouth and don't have enough space to fit, there is little to no option to predictably keep these areas clean.  They are recommended for extraction to prevent the risk for infection that could spread deeper into the jaw, neck, or chest and have serious consequences.

Adult tooth growing over my baby tooth?

Listen ! dun panic ... ihad this problem when i was young ....the dentist will pull the old one ...and its sooo easy and u wont even need braces..it will move to its right place by time ...that what happend to me .....and wow u sound so caring ...wish ur babies good health !

How far can Braces move teeth?

i used to have really bad teeth,,, i even had one that grew in behind the other one... and braces fixed them ... and now they're like perfect .. so i guess it depends on how bad your teeth are and how striaght you want them to be

Can a wisdom tooth replace a bad molar?

Yes a wisdom tooth can replace a bad second molar. However, your doctor needs to first assess the developmental status of the wisdom tooth and make sure that the tooth is well formed (not weird looking) and whether the tooth will grow into the mouth on its own. This type of replacement works best in cases where there is significant posterior crowding so that the wisdom tooth will grow into the spot of the second molar without much need for orthodontics to move the tooth; otherwise, you will likely need braces to move the wisdom tooth into a proper alignment. Wisdom teeth tend to have more grooves on their chewing surfaces than other teeth so it is very important that you clean these teeth well so that they do not develop cavities.Another possibility for using wisdom teeth to replace a tooth involves a process called auto-transplantation, where the wisdom tooth is surgically moved into a spot where a tooth is missing where it will hopefully continue to develop normally. This procedure works best when the wisdom tooth is not yet completely developed (the root apex is "open" and has some growth potential remaining), and depending on the tooth it is replacing this may require some reshaping of the tooth in order for it to fit well with your other teeth. The survival rate of teeth used in such a procedure has been reported at about 90% if properly done (experience of the surgeon matters).

I have an adult tooth growing behind my baby tooth?

try and get an appointment with your dentist. you need them to remove the tooth, cause if it stays there it will cause the tooth behind it to come out in the wrong position, which cannot be changed without braces later on. i had the same problem with two of my front teeth, and now my teeth are all over the place and i need braces to correct it.

Can our teeth grow back if we're 13 and our baby teeth never fall out?

Teeth don’t actually “grow back”, what happens is under every baby tooth there is an adult tooth waiting to erupt once the overlying “baby” tooth falls out. So to answer your question, if you have a baby tooth that HAS an adult teeth under it, you will get a replacement tooth once that baby tooth has fallen out. However, sometimes there is a “glitch in the matrix” and there is NO adult tooth under a baby tooth, if this is the case, once the baby tooth falls out, nothing will take it’s place!
