What happens when I drink a soda while eating a banana?

What happens when I drink a soda while eating a banana? You get a lot of sugar calories and some potassium. Chew some sugar free gum afterwards to protect your teeth and go run around the block so you burn those calories.and/orYou get stared at funny since pouring fluid into your mouth at the same time as stuffing food in is a little odd. I am picturing it right now. Head tilted back. Mouth agape. Pouring the soda in one side, while shoving the banana in the other. Disturbing really. if you had an eating disorder, this would definitely be an EDB. You are going to make a mess doing this. Just make sure to have plenty of paper towels nearby.

What's the worst that can happen from eating bananas and drinking Sprite in one sitting?

The combination of the protein and  the carbon dioxide causes foaming and the foam has only one way out of your stomach - the way it came in. "The banana supplies the protein and the cold soft drink adds a lot of carbon dioxide to your stomach. Your stomach is quite warm - much warmer than the soda - which means the carbon dioxide becomes less soluble at the higher temperature and gas bubbles are making a very fast escape from the liquid. The banana protein coats the CO2 bubbles and makes a very stable, expanding foam in your stomach. The creation of the foam means you can't just burp to get rid of the CO2 in your stomach, but it has to get out somehow because your stomach is only so large... So an escape is made using its only available exit." http://www.madsci.org/posts/arch...

Hungover and can't keep anything down?

If he can't stay home until it subsides, then he needs to go to an urgent care clinic and get anti- nausea modester via IV or suppository. He probably also needs an IV drip (banana bag).

If he has time to burn the hangover off, then you can continue trying ROOM TEMPERATURE real ginger ale (like Hansen's) or 7up a tablespoon at a time. If he can keep that down, then he should attempt to take some Benadryl or Dramamine. Again, he should only take a minimal amount of fluids until he gets the meds onboard and until they start working.

He should NOT take "vitamins" or any type of solid food until he can control the nausea. Once he's also to do so, he can try a light broth and saltine crackers.

The problem was not the mixing of alcohol. It was the overconsumption.

Throwing up remedy - sprite and 7up, why?

Because it's doesn't have the caramel coloring in it that could lead to more nausea. The thing you want to do with someone who had nausea, vomiting, and especially diarrhea, is to keep them hydrated. It's so very easy for someone to dehydrate being sick like that, especially young children and elderly people. Best of luck to you.

When do I have sex after eggs, milk, banana and bicarbonate of soda combo?

Also chekFirst and foremost let me start off by saying I hope this is in the right category and if it isn't I'm seriously sorry and feel free to move itAs a woman who's planning a family sometime in the future, I've been a member of a forum designed around women who are trying to get pregnant, pregnant, and those who have lost a pregnancy. Sadly I fall into the latter category. Another member who's now striking out on the road to getting pregnant made a post yesterday that had me scratching my head. The claim was that if a woman was to use baking soda in her vagina that it would balance out the natural ph and make it a much more hospitable environment for sperm to survive and carry out their role in reproduction. Now I'm not talking about a massive amount of baking soda. The idea is to wet your finger, stick it in a box of baking soda, and then insert the finger until the baking soda is absorbed. Not something I'd consider doing. But a lot of women are down right desperate and want to try everything and anything to make their chances of conception greater then the standard 25% success rate on any given cycle. Is there any science behind this that proves or disproves this theory and if there's science to disprove it... Could this method have an adverse effect?I'd like to take better information back to the nest so to speak if only to help other poor souls out there.Thank you! Also chek

What should you eat/drink after throwing up?

Alright, being someone who has had my fair share of different kinds of alcohol, I can give you some advice here. No I am not an alcoholic but I have had the unfortunate experience of throwing up after too many rum and cokes, beer, tequila, etc. First off, stay calm, I think the best place to throw up is in the toilet, if you can’t then throw up in a garbage can. I know this might all sound disgusting but we are all human and I think a lot of us have had this unpleasant experience at some point in our lives. When you are done throwing up, get to the sink, spit, and rinse your mouth out. Brush your teeth. I have read stories about people who would binge and purge and they ended up with permanent damage to their teeth. The best thing you can drink after throwing up is water. Drink 2–4 servings of water. In terms of eating, I would recommend something light such as saltine crackers, wafers, or white bread. I wouldn’t recommend eating at a buffet after getting sick. Sleep it off and if symptoms persist talk to a medical professional. Feel better.

What's the best breakfast you can eat during band camp?

Hey!! This is by far the best answer that I can think to give you. You're question caught my attention because I rarely see anything like 'band camp' on this website, and I'm glad it caught my eye because I am happy to give you some advice :) from being a former drum major, and having been through many years of HOT rehearsals, I have come up with a very effective 'survive band camp and don't pass out' method: first, am I correct in saying your rehearsals begin in the morning? And if so, how early? I am going to answer as if they do. That 'jittery' feeling is a Result of low blood sugar. Generally, eating ANYTHING will last you like an hour, but you want something that will literally stick. You want something loaded with carbs, to give you the most energy. Also if you are a coffee drinker, it is not a good idea to drink it during the whole week. Jittery feeling can also come from too much caffeine :) ok so what you want to do, is fix yourself up with a peanut butter English muffin. Not only will the peanut butter stick to your insides but it is loaded with protein for good energy. You were right in saying milk can have icky heat side effects. I, am lactose intolerant so I had to stay away from it. If you have a blender, this works wonders: blend a mix of OJ, almonds, BANANA and strawberry. You will be shocked in the difference it will make for your energy levels. If I were you as well, I would bring an energy bar along for breaks. Of course you know this but humor me lol. WATER is the best thing you could EVER do for your body. Ever. Stay hydrated, and you'll feel great I promise. Remember, if you feel thirsty, you are already on your way to feeling severely dehydrated! I hope this answer helps you out, and please don't hesitate to write back to me with any other questions and good luck!!

Why does the banana/Sprite challenge cause people to vomit?

Why does the banana/Sprite challenge cause people to vomit? This has nothing to do with chemical reactions between bananas and Sprite and everything to do with the mechanics of the digestive system. The average capacity of a stomach is about 500 ml. Any solid will digest more slowly than a liquid, so eating the bananas results in a slower rate of transit of stomach contents. In other words, the bananas ensure the stomach stays full. Drinking a liter of anything on top of the bananas already consumed results in the stomach being filled to or beyond its normal capacity.Carbonated beverages release the carbonation as gas when they are consumed. The gas increases the pressure within the stomach above what would be attributable to the bananas and the liquid portion of the Sprite. The pressure overcomes the ability of the lower esophageal sphincter to keep everything in the stomach and vomiting occurs to release the pressure. As challenges go, this one is especially moronic.
