I am getting my first tattoo how bad will it hurt on my thigh?
Differs from person to person. I personally did not enjoy my thighs being tattooed, but in reality, I did not enjoy any of my tattoos. Tattoos hurt. That’s part of the process. As long as you understand that going in, it is a mind over matter thing. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter. Stay relaxed, remember to breath, don’t forget to eat before you get tattooed, you should be fine.
About how bad does a tattoo on the upper ribcage hurt?
Ask your artist for a topical spray for numbing the area, most of them have some. Also take two tylenol or advil 30 minutes before getting done up. This will help relieve some pain if any is there.
How bad to rib cage tattoos really hurt?
I want to get a tattoo of the quote "never a failure, always a lesson" and i really want it on my side, on the ribs. I want the first part of the quote over the other, in really pretty cursive and the letters won't be huge but not tiny either. I'm nervous though because tgis will be my first tattoo and i've heard that the ribs are awful. I'm also really skinny, i have no fat over my ribs. I do have my belly button pierced, my ears, and cartilage, and i've had my nose pierced. All these were tolerable, but i don't know what a tattoo feels like so i'm nit sure how well i would handle it. How bad is it? I don't want to do this, but should i move the location? Thanks!

Under your bra line is going to hurt, but it's probably the easiest place on the ribs to get tattooed. You go too much further up towards the armpit and it's killer, and you get down to where the floating ribs are and it not only feels really weird because it vibrates your diaphragm, but it makes your insides burn. But yeah, you picked an area right where it's not so bad. You'll be fine, I've managed to get tattooed basically from my armpit to my upper thigh on one side, you can get a little anchor without too much trouble.
Will a tattoo on my ribs hurt if i am pretty skinny ?
Okay so I'm about 5'7" and 125 lbs and i have a rib tattoo. I'm one of those weirdos who didn't think it hurt all that bad. The pain is weird to describe. its like a cat clawing at a really bad sunburn. obviously you will be in more pain the bigger the tattoo, but the pain isn't unbearable, in my opinion.

I'm DEATHLY afraid of needles, lol. I'd rather die than get a shot, and I haven't gotten one since grade 4, LOL nasty I know, but I can't help it. But when it comes to tattoos, I love them!! My first one was on the back of my shoulder, and it hardly hurt at all. I just got my second one 4 days ago on the back of my neck, and it hurt more, but my boyfriend was with me and I just broke his hand, haha that helps if you have someone's hand to hold. It's your own personal choice whether you want to get the smaller tattoo first, instead of risking the big one, or if you just want to go big or go home. I'd get the smaller one personally, and that's what I did because I didn't know if i could handle it or not, and I definitely didn't want to make the mistake of starting what I can't finish. Ear/wrist I'm guessing would be equal amount of pain, but honestly it's nothing unbearable, and it's much better than a shot. How bad is my rib tattoo going to hurt?
I just got my ribs tattooed on friday. I was in your exact shoes a week ago. I found that all the GUYS I asked said it hurt really bad and was their worst tattoo. However, all the GIRLS I asked said "eh wasn't that bad". So here's my answer for you. "Eh, wasn't that bad." :) There were a couple lines that were long and touchy, but honestly wasn't any worse than any of my other tattoos. (Shoulder blade, spine, stomach and wrists) It does get sore quick though. I just got "love thyself" in script and flowers down my side so it wasn't a whole lot of detail. If your piece is A LOT of detail, I recommend doing it in more than one sitting. If it ever is too much you can always ask your artist to find a place to stop for the day. I found that tattooing my ribs was more comfortable than tattooing my side/abdomen area. I'm skinny as well. It's really not as bad as you're expecting. While you're getting tattooed just think about something that makes you happy for the rough spots or talk to your artist/friend while its being done. Just make sure you don't laugh! Good luck girlie. If you've ever tried waxing or epilation it's something like that.Except the pain lasts longer, the entire time it takes to get the tattoo.The body releases natural pain killers that many people enjoy. The area numbs a bit naturally from the ongoing assault.Make no mistake, tattooing is intentionally injuring your body and it hurts.Oh it hurts so good.You'll never know how your body reacts until you try it!
What hurts more, tattoo on your foot or your ribs?
I have a tattoo on on my ribs as well as a tattoo on my right foot and I personally found the rib tattoo more painful, although not by much. They both took an equal amount of time to be done, although my foot tattoo needed some shading which was the most painful part of both tattoos. If you've had a tattoo before, especially one that took over 2 hours, then I'm pretty sure you'll be able to handle one on your ribs.

more bone, more pain, the fatty areas or those that hurt less which is why ribs are extremely painful and your arm isnt but if you are very "fat" but intend on losing weight dont get a tattoo yet because you will then possibly have a deformed tattoo, so if you plan on losing weight, you should hold of on getting a tattoo in any area that deformation could occur
