Will My Hair Be Less Frizzy If I Let It Dry Naturally

Horrible frizzy hair when i let it dry naturally?

I have the same problem as you - if I leave my hair natural I scrunch it with a bit of product (one with hold or curl control - mousse/spray and/or serum - whichever you think works best) so that at least it has some style and is not just frizzy and shapeless. Take serum with you also.

One thing I do is when my hair is out of control and frizzy when I'm out and about I use a dollop of hand cream (always in my handbag) and use that as it's heavy and temporarily smoothes & weighs down my hair (so the short frizzes can't stick up as much). Bit odd but it works!

That's my travel tip for ya... ;)

Is it bad to let your hair dry naturally?

My grandma said that if you do not blow dry your hair when you're young, you'll get lots of headaches when you are older. I don't believe her though.

When i let my hair dry naturally?

people say that letting your hair dry naturally like just let it drip dry your hair drys frizz free and soft, well i did that and my hair dried very frizzy and felt a little rough...it looked terrible

whats wrong?
if you have any suggestions to my problem please let me know

Should we blow dry hair or let it dry naturally? Why?

Undoubtedly! Air-dry.Because air drying has got no limitations.Okay let’s look for the benefits of drying hair with the blow dryer. It is time saving.Added benefit of styling the hair.Well, I tried thinking for more of the benefits, but I couldn’t.Now look at the demerits of blow dryer. It causes split ends.Damages the hair. The hot air coming from the dryer is very very bad for the hair.It consumes power.Handling dryer is not easy. It is not a easy task.Plus the hot air from the dryer is intolerable as it touches face, eyes.. (in case your dryer blows normal air)Now consider this, the major drawback of using the dryer:Blow drying causes a "flash drying" effect that not only removes the surface moisture but also removes water that is bound to the hair, which is called water of hydration. The effect of this flash drying is that the cuticles become dry, rigid and brittle. When the hair flexes, the pressure causes the cuticles to crack. Combing hair with this degree of cuticle cracking causes significant breakage. And in my opinion which is not great.Well there is no such problem with air drying. If you want you can blow-dry your hair ocassionally, when you want to style your hair. But using blow-dryer on a continuous basis, can be very detrimental to your scalp. And with air-drying, you can wave, flutter, swing, and play around with the hair. I guess this is the most loved past time hobby of most of the girls.!!!!!!!CONSIDER THIS VERY SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!

What are some natural ways to tame frizzy hair?

Coconut oil is a great way to tame your curls or like in Italy use olive oil.  If you need more control put sugar and water in a spray bottle or sprite and use as a light hairspray with a little oil on the mid lengths to the end of your hair.  Here are a few other tips to help maintain control over your curls:While in shower condition hair with a detangling conditioner and brush hair while in shower with comb or brush of choice.  I prefer the tangle Teezer personally as it is safer on your hair when brushing while wet, pulls out all the hair that has shed without damaging the rest of the hair that is still attached and is pain free (great for kids).  When it comes to picking out a conditioner use one meant for your hair type that has detangling properties to it.  Rinse out conditioner.  Keep in mind the cooler the water on the hair the better.  Hotter water steams the cuticles of the hair open, making it frizzier and dull.  Cooler water helps the cuticle to shrink and hug the hair shaft making it smoother and shinier.  A point to consider is when you go in a hot tub notice how your hair is frizzy while the meantime when you swim in cooler waters and get out your hair is shiny.Once out towel BLOT, not rub hair; use towel to scrunch out major portions of water.  Rubbing hair with towel to try will only cause frizz and the hair to break from the pack to form the perfect curl formation and condition you are looking to sport.  Micro Fiber Cloths work great for soaking up all the bulk mixture.Do not comb hair after out of shower; you already did when you brushed or combed out any of the lose hairs while in the shower with the conditioner.  The WHOLE purpose of brushing is to only remove natural hair shed to prevent tangles.Apply your oils mid length to ends (avoid the roots as it will only give you an oily scalp) and let air dry or diffuse.  And add the sugar water or sprite mixture of you feel you need more control.  :)

How can I keep my natural hair curly when it dries?

Okay, so I’m assuming your hair type is somewhere in the 4a-4c range. This is because the hair type is coily and isn’t curly in fact. It has a definite curl pattern when wet, but without the right products and proper moisture technique, it will dry out and lack definition. My hair in the front and back is 4a. The rest is a looser curl, 3c. If I don’t moisturize properly, my looser curls will still have some shape but my tight coils have no definition at all, what you referred to as puffy. What I do to combat this is moisturize often. Here is my regimen. Every Sunday, I co-wash my hair. I make sure it is all detangled. Then, I step out of the shower and part my hair into 4 sections. I always spray my hair with water from my water bottle. Making sure the hair is very moist, I’ll take my Shea Moisture Curl Milk and rake my fingers through my hair, making sure it is distributed well and the curls start to bounce and get shiny. Next, you need to add a styler. This keeps the shape of the curl or coil and makes it last longer. Without it, your style won’t last past 1 day and you will have to redo it. My styler of choice is either eco styler gel in olive oil or my Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Cream. As of late, it has been a life saver. I do the same method as stated above and leave my hair alone until it is completely dry. After it is, I’m left with a full head a beautiful, bouncy curls. This regimen can last for 1–2 weeks.Check out my YouTube channel where I actually demonstrate what I’ve just said above for a visual:)>>> The perfect wash "N" go <<<

My hair is too frizzy.....?

First my hair is naturally curly. I recently had my hair straightened. My hair gets soo frizzy when I put products in my hair and then a blow dry, or when i use a thick brissle brush. I tried drying it with a cool blow dryer, and that made it look horrible that I had to wet it down again. What advise could you give me for less frizz. 1) If i let my hair air dry, is that a good way for it to be less frizzy and shiny? 2) what products work really well? 3) what should I not do? 4) any other ideas? I feel "hair" helpless. Thanks.

Does blow drying your hair make it less frizzy?

Nonono. Blow drying your hair makes it more frizzy, for me at least. But since my hair is naturally poofy, air drying and blow drying doesn't make much of a difference. Blow drying is the worst for your hair. Wrapping your hair in a towel won't help it fully dry much, but it does help to stop the dripping and lessen the wetness. After I towel dry my hair, it's still very damp.

I, myself use this hair pack and have got really nice results i have curly hair and now they are frizz free.NOTE: Apply this hair pack 2–3 times a week.

My hair is less frizzy and poofy after i get out of a pool or lake. Why?

It could be if you take hot showers (as opposed to the cool or lukewarm water of lakes/pools), the steam or heat can cause the hair shaft to expand & frizz. Also, if you are swimming & you are letting your hair air-dry since you are outdoors, it would be less frizzy than if you take a shower & then use a hairdryer.
