Will My Ios Downgrade If I Restore Backup Via A Computer With An Iphone

Can you downgrade to iOS 6.1.4 on an Iphone 5?

I don't think you can

Is there a way to downgrade iOS 11 to 10 on an iPhone 7? Will it be safe?

Step 1: Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.Step 2: You will have to download the iOS 10.3.3 IPSW file for your particular device manually. Download it to your desktop or somewhere easy to find.Step 3: Before you perform a restore you have to turn off Find My iPhone. To do this, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud. Scroll down to Find My iPhoneand make sure that it is turned off.Step 4: Connect your iOS device to your computer and make sure that iTunes is open.Step 5: Let’s put your iOS device into DFU recovery mode. If you don’t know how to do this, please follow our guide on how to reset your iPhone. Once you enter DFU mode, iTunes will let you know that it detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You can click OK on this message and begin the recovery process.Step 6: Hold down the SHIFT key if you’re on Windows, or the Option key if you’re on a Mac, and at the same time click on Restore iPhone in iTunes.Step 7: A window will come up asking you to browse for the iOS IPSW file. In this case, you want to select the iOS 10.3.3 IPSW file that you downloaded in step 2. For example, if you have an iPhone 7 Plus the file name will be "iPhone_7Plus_10.3.3_14G60_Restore.ipsw."Step 8: At this point, iTunes begins the process of restoring your device.Once finished, iOS will ask you if you want to restore a backup or if you want to set up as a new device. Note that you’ll only be able to restore backups made with iOS 10.3.3.Source: Digital Trends | Technology News and Product ReviewsHope this helps— Sabu

How can I downgrade my iPhone from iOS 11 to iOS 10?

Since iOS currently stands at 11.2.5, there’s no way to get the older version on your phone any more. Your opportunity to have archived an iTunes backup and restore your backup to your phone with your previous version expired the moment iOS 11.0.1 came out.Currently Apple systems are reporting iOS 11.2.2 and 11.2.5 as both being current versions. That means you can archive an iTunes backup of your iOS 11.2.2 and restore that version, but only for the next few days. I expect that to change by tomorrow or so.The beta iOS is 11.3 already. Apple plans to release that very soon. But that version is reported to include the ability to disable the performance slowdown caused by aged batteries. You’ll probably want that one more than going back to a previous iOS.

If I restore my iPhone, will I lose everything? How can I stop this from happening?

When you restore your device (iPad,iPhone) it erases everything and then reinstalls the core applications and OS.Backups are for times when you loose your device, it gets damaged, or you are upgrading to a new device. Apple has setup iCloud to allow you to back up your device completely. It also has provided a way to restore everything except the applications without having to restore from a backup. Why you might ask?Your device has a lot of things going on in the background besides what programs you are using. All this activity and changes are captured in the backup. Sometimes communication between backup (done through WiFi) gets garbled. Sometimes the garble happens in the device you are using that causes problems. Those problems are saved in the full backup. If Apple runs diagnostics on your device and there are no errors, then the issue you are having is most likely software. When this happens you need to restore your device to factory settings and set up as a new device. You can not restore from a backup without putting the problem back on the device.By turning iCloud Photo Library on, and set to put originals in the cloud, and turning on from the main iCloud page the items like contacts, etc. these are backed up separately. Then after the restore all you need do is log into your iCloud account after selecting set up as new. All your photos will come back along with contacts, messages, etc. Only the applications will need to be reinstalled and the device personalized after.

How do I downgrade iOS 9.3.1 to 9.2.1 without losing data?

Hi, Generally with all Apple products, the Operating System is seperate from your files. This allows Apple to have:On the go updates (OTG)Easy restoring using iTunes, and on the device itselfEasy backup (its all in one place)But this also applies to downgrading, now if you are do it quick.Apple usually stop signing the previous software a few weeks into the update, and unless you have SHSH Blobs saved (I never do, so I do a quick workaround, but you don't need to know that.) you won't be able to downgrade. In order to downgrade, follow these steps:Go to iPhone, iPod, iPad and Apple TV Firmware Download, and get your respective iOS 9.2.1 firmware. While thats downloading, backup your iDevice, this should save everything. Simply plug into iTunes, and depending on your current settings, it should automatically backup.Once that is downloaded, plug in your iDevice, if not already.Go your iDevice's icon in iTunesClick the "Restore" button while holding down "Alt/Option", or if you are using a PC, hold down "CTL"Choose the IPSW you just downloadedFollow the On-Screen promptsDone ;)

I do not like iOS 10, how can I downgrade back to iOS 9?

Most of the answers didn’t really help me out. Surprisingly, I’ve figured out the missing links so here is my run down:Download the iOS Firmware for your iDeviceNow on your iDevice, break in to the DFU Mode, aka Recovery mode. Here are the steps if your iDevice is an iphone or an ipad.Plug the device into your computer with the USB cable.Turn off the device.Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.Upon opening iTunes you will be notified that the device in question is in recovery mode. (If you don’t get this notification you might have gone wrong at step #2)On the iTunes > iPhone screen, press and hold the SHIFT key (for windows users) and then click on the restore option. This will open a dialog box which will let you select the firmware you downloaded in step #1After 15 mins of “extracting” and “syncing”, your iDevice will be finally cured of iOS 10.

How can I downgrade from iOS 12 to iOS 11?

Enter Recovery mode (hold ‘Power’ and ‘Home’ buttons until your device turns off, then continue holding the ‘Home’ button. Note, this usually take a while). When you see 'Connect to iTunes', plug it into your computer and open up iTunes. In iTunes you’ll see notification that it's detected an iPhone or iPad in Recovery Mode, and that this needs to be restored - click ‘OK’ then Restore iPhone (iPad). Finally, choose the option to Restore and Update. Once fresh version of iOS 11 is reinstalled, you can restore your old backup(which you made before installing iOS 12 version I believe). Just select your preferred option, follow the on-screen prompts.
