What should I get my teacher for teacher's Appreciation Week?

I actually save all of the little momentos that my students have given me over the years. But if you want to know what I like the most, it’s hand-written notes about what they like about my class, and things they know I need or like— my favorite types of pencils, markers, note pads. One time I got a mug in the shape of a toilet in reference to a classroom joke. These types of gifts let me know the students are paying attention, and that means a lot to a teacher!

What kind of students do teachers appreciate?

I've taught for more than 30 years. My favorite students? Those who always do more than expected. Those who work hard. Those who persist. I like gifted students (what's not to like?), but I LOVE students who bust their ass (for those who don't know the turn of phrase, it means they work like hell).I like students with good manners, students who try, students with a sense of humor.I like students who are good at something, or working like hell towards something, not just showing up.I love students who work hard, not those who believe in talent but those who get that way by hard work.I like students who will tell me what they've been reading lately, and will listen when I talk to them about what I'm reading lately.I love students who are daring, or crazy, or brave enough to be the first one in their family to go to college.I like people who work their ass off.I like students who study ahead, read ahead, who always do a little bit more than is expected.I work with a lot of disadvantaged kids. They are free breakfast, free lunch kind of kids, whose parents rarely got more than six years of schooling. I love the ones who dare to be the first in their family to go to college - even though they have no one to look at as a role model. When two of my old students, who grew up in the hood in Houston - Denver Harbor - and came back and showed me their Bachelor's degrees, I burst into tears. They were the first persons, ever, in their families to go to college and finish.

What is a good present to give your teacher?

First off, how well do you recognize your teacher? Favorite authors, books, artists, possibly even games? What makes them happy, even the smallest things matter. I had an instructor last year who let me raise personal questions, it wasn’t a massive deal for him. Knowing his favorite candy, I got him gummy bears on his birthday and said hi every time we tend to passed each other in the hall. I feel like if you get them a private gift (or one thing you made the choice to chose based mostly off of a non faculty connected talk with them.)Cards, drawings, those are wonderful gifts. You show you care (any gift shows that you care!) and it warms the guts to be congratulated on one thing that brings you happiness. Saying that you just appreciate what she does is great in addition.Going up during lunch period and helping them with papers, filing for instance, is often appreciated.Maybe chocolates? I don’t know if there is a store where you're, however chocolates from La Maison Du Chocolate are REALLY good. The macarons from New York’s Ladurées are superb likewise!Oh, and does she get pleasure from art? I suppose you'll get her art provides, even if she doesn’t do a lot of of it, you'll motive her to strive something new.Best gift for teacher from student there are many option.Think outside the box and make your loved one feel special ,by gifting which s/he cannot find anywhere. Thats tells the person how much you really care and willing to go extra mile just to make him/her feel special could be sentimental or Funny depend on the personality of the recipient.Personalized Mugs are my favorite form of a gift because they are unique. One can create their own designs; like pictures or messages and get it printed. And then gift this to your beloved TEACHER .If you cannot make your own design there are plenty of premade design you can find in Amazon. Sometimes you would not get best design in Amazon and honestly it's over saturated gift for female teacher that it's not unique anymore, you can lookup for other online store (remember think outside the box). Get white/black mugs whichever is recipient favorite color. In the designs, look for personalized quotes, or a sign with a special message. This can be gift for male teacher or simple teacher appreciation gift ideas too. What present should I give my teacher as gratitude?

I think something with a personal touch will make a perfect gratitude gift. You can give something that can relate to your student-teacher relationship. I’d say, create a video for him/her, collecting his/her photo/ clips from his family or even those clicked during the class hours (if you’re one of those mischievous students in the class, you must have his/her many photos clicked ;) ) You can also include some phrases that s/he has often used in his/her teaching practice. And don’t forget to give it a personal touch, with a dedicated message from you to him/her. I am sure s/he will love it and will never forget you :). Also, try to accompany your gift with a small token of love like a good pen or something that might be useful to him/her.

Why do my English teachers never appreciate my writing?

Whenever one reads a play by Shakespeare or Sophocles and many other, older, types of writings everyone seems to be in awe in an attempt to decipher what each line means sentence be sentence. However, whenever I write something that is seemingly similar in the sense that I don't convey my message by using simple words for the reader to understand but instead by writing in a slightly more educated way that takes one or two reads to understand. For example, I will say something like: I deliver my message in an ambiguous way thus making the nature of the passage slightly more inconspicuous and difficult to decipher. Now instead of this previous sentence, my professor prefers I dumb it down and say instead: when making a statement, i dont use words that can easily be defined. Notice the difference? I hate doing that because that is not my writing style. What should I do? I don't like taking every sentence and making it "easier to
read," but my grade depends on what my teacher thinks of it. I mean when I read Victorian novels I end up reading a sentence several times to fully understand its meaning. So whuzzzup dawg? Why they be bringin me down!

My Teacher asked me out..... should i go or will it be too... weird?

This is a bad move for him, and for you. Teachers sign an agreement with their educational institution not to have personal relationships with students. Your teacher risks losing his job. From your perspective, it's a dicey matter because if this relationship doesn't work out (and he isn't discovered by the school) he has too much power as far as your assessments go. He can fail you, just because you and he didn't get on. If you do get on, and you do much better academically than you would otherwise, and if the other students discover that you are having a relationship with him, they can spread rumors that your good marks are because you are sleeping with him. So many complications that you shouldn't have to deal with.

If you date after you cease being his student and after you have graduated, then that's a different matter.

I am a former university teacher and know the ethical issues involved here very well. I had to sign a declaration that I would not fraternize with students.

How do I thank my teachers?

It's been long since I have penned something down. So here it goes,A LETTER TO ALL THE TEACHERS :It's funny how large of an impression our teachers can leave upon our lives. An Inspirer, an empowerer, an engager, these are a few characteristics that a teacher possesses. It is through your milestones that we learn,It is through your experience that we earn,You led us so we may lead,You inspired us so we may inspire. To experience victory in defeat,To learn, to build, to grow and to dream.Your presence is a skeleton of our success, for you were a guide, a leader but more importantly a friend. You gave us passion, power and hope. And that is indelible mark you have left upon our characters."The influence of a good teacher can never be erased. They can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges."I, along with my team, @VarSITy Care, the social service club of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, celebrated Teacher's Day, expressed gratitude and love, by gifting them words of love and respect through handmade cards and bookmarks.Teachers were welcomed with a rose, cabins were decorated. The celebration commenced with entertaining performances and fun games for the teachers in thwas a heart touching experience for teachers as well as the students.Teacher’s Day Celebration :Handmade Cards :Welcoming the Teachers with a Rose :The V@rSITy Care Team :If there's anyone who is in a position to bring positive change into the world everyday, it's a Teacher. You're not "Just a Teacher", you are a life changer and very well might be the reason a child wants to succeed.A hundred years from now it will not matter what your bank account was, the sort of house you lived in, or the kind of car you had. But the world will be different, because you were important in the life of a child.Wish You all a HAPPY TEACHERS DAY. !

I want to hug my teacher...?

I'm a middle school student and a girl and I have always lived by the idea of putting yourself in somebody else's shoes. My favorite teacher is pretty shy but kinda under appreciated and I want to hug her which may sound stupid but I just do. I think it will make her happy. So I'm not sure how to go about doing this... She's like in her twenties if that helps and I was wondering if this is stupid or if I'm going about this the wrong way. I'm doubting myself because I wouldn't really hug my other teachers but for some reason I'd hug her... anyways. If you are or were a teacher or if you're just anybody please give me advice. thanks!!
