Will My Teacher Let Me Go Early

My teacher is REALLY MEAN! He gave me lunch detention yesterday because I had to leave his class early for a student council meeting!?

This seems like a case where the student would report a teacher to the Principal, granted there are no other considerations, and that this is the whole truth.

Will my professors let me take my final a week early?

I would check your university's policies on attendence and final examinations prior to making any reservations. If the overall university policies conflict, you will not be likely to take them early. However, in my own experiences, professors themselves are usually kind enough to work with students. If the university policy doesn't strictly prohibit it, check with your professors next. The only problem I would see you encountering here is if they refuse to create multiple exams and refuse to allow you to take the exam at a separate time from everyone else if it is the same exam. If both these conditions happen, they probably will not let you. However, I have rescheduled several exams in the past with no problems.

Whatever happens, enjoy your honeymoon!

What should I do if a teacher doesn't let me leave to use the bathroom?

I often refuse permission to go to the toilet, if I suspect that the student is just bored/ trying to get out of work.Or if the student has a history of asking to go every single time I have their class. That being said, if a student asked to go to the toilet and I said no, and then they went anyway and came back quickly, I’m not going to make a big deal out of it. I figure, if they’re really desperate, they’ll go. If they’re not, they can wait. Saying no is just my way of weeding out those students who are faking it.Side note, one of my students just offered to go in the garbage bin. When he picked up the bin, I said he could go - maybe you’d like to try this?

How do I write a letter for seeking permission to leave the school early?

Teachers want to know that your parents have agreed to your absence from school. (Schools have a legal obligation to protect you when you are in their custody!) So your parents should either write the letter or sign it to confirm that they relieve the school of any legal obligations. The content of the letter should include: the reason for your early departure + your parents written agreement [or signature] to confirm that the school is no longer responsible for your safety.

How can a student write a letter to her class teacher for half-day leave?

The answer to this question depends upon what level of school you are in. If you are in high school, a signed note or phone call usually is made by your parent or guardian to the office, and the administrator(s) approve or do not approve the absence. They will tell the teacher that you will be gone for a half-day. The teacher will not have the authority to excuse you.In college, the teacher does have the authority to release you, so a note explaining your upcoming absence, or a visit with the teacher before you take the half/day. Do not wait until you come back to tell the teacher. Have all assignments finished either before you leave or right after you come back to class, depending what the teacher requests. If the teacher does not approve the absence, you take a chance of not being able to turn in work when you get back. Sometimes the absence does not seem important enough for the student to miss class, and you have to be ready for that possibility. If in college, you should probably tell your academic adviser that you will be gone for that time as well. Then two people in authority know about the requested absence, and can confer about it. If your grade in the class is very low, you will probably NOT be given permission to miss class. Make sure you are up to date with all of your work, and have been a consistently good worker and an active participant in the class before you even think of asking.

Why won't my catholic school let me graduate early?

@daver: a. early graduation is extremely profitable. It's in fact one of the most noticeable things you can do in high school. It's gets school to notice you, and puts you an entire year ahead of your class. I want to be a doctor which takes anywhere from 8-12 years. I'd I graduate early i could become a doctor sooner. Plus my parents could use that 8,000 dollars to pay for a year of in state tuition at an university! Which means less debt in the long (if I don't get a scholarship from graduating early).
B. I am beyond focused on my current schooling. That's why I have all a's and four credits left to graduate. There is no point in wasting 8,000 for four 1 semester classes. The only thing stresses me out is the fact my school is the only privite organization in my area(the public schools are really bad). Leaving me almost no choice but to go there.
C. I brought to them that I could finish at college and not "graduate" until the rest of my class. This:

What are some good excuses for getting out of school early?

Hi! Being a teacher for nearly ten years now, I have seen many excuses by my students. The best one though was from one of the brightest pupils. Whenever he wanted to leave the school, he would pretend that he had a stomach ache. The fact is, he was always convincing that I believed him. It was his mother who told me that he was never ill and that he always got back home early to play video games.Another one comes from me. I used to live at my mother’s place when I was going to school. The fact that I had no father around, I could always pretend my mom was really ill and that I had to leave the school at noon in order to help her drink a soup. It worked for two years till they realised that she was never ill as one day she came and picked me up, after I had lied about her health.

Where did the rumor that if a teacher is 15 minutes late you can legally leave originate?

Because it is a sensible arrangement, and some schools — but not all — have some form of implementation of it.In my school the expectation is that if a teacher is 15 minutes late then the following should happen:A pupil from the set goes to the Academic Office and reports that teachers absence.A cover teacher is then found to look after the class OR the class is dismissed. This is an effective arrangement. It means that classes know they won’t be left standing outside in the cold for long periods of time. It also lets the school administration know that something has gone wrong; perhaps a staff member has fallen ill, or a school trip has been delayed returning to school. It has the extra benefit of making sure that teachers can’t make a habit of poor punctuality. As far as the situation in any other school, it depends entirely on what your school policy says. Read it, or ask a senior member of staff what the policy is.

My teachers make me give them massages for detention. Is that allowed?

Hi! I'm 15 going on 16 and I have a quick question for yous. About a month ago my teach caught me talking in class and told me to come after for detention during detention she told me she'd let me go home early if i massaged her feet so I did.

After a week I was told I now have a month of detention for not massaging right, and I have to give my spanish teacher feet massages too. After 3 weeks they told me that I need to lick their feet and kiss them or I will have detention for the rest of the school year. I've had detention for over a month and a half. I was just wondering if teachers are allowed to do this, and if so how do I get out of detention?

I live in California

Thank you so much for your help! Kayla
