How To Straighten My Nose?
have this huge nose. I am 19 years old and I hate it. People have been criticising me for it for as long as I can remember. My older brother, my stepmother and her cruel sister and some other relatives of hers. I hate it. I brought this thing on ebay that claims to straighten noses. It looks like a clotherpin. You put it over your nose and wear it for 30 minites per day. I have had it for nearly 3 weeks now and my nose has not improved. It actually seems as if it is getting bigger. I really hate it. Can you help me. I hate being ugly, everytime someone looks at me I feel like that is what they are looking at. Help!! Oh, I cant afford surgery (Im poor), so please dont suggest it. And no I dont have any of that health insurance stuff. Please suggest other things. Thank you

Yes, these are a scam. I was very happy to see Charles Bollmann touch on the subject of eyeglasses. This is one of the larger arguments for these types of products, but in reality, they aren't affecting the portion of the the nose that give you your shape...just the skin.As you can see in the below diagram, rhinoplasty surgery contours bone and cartilage, which are the primary source of your nose's characteristics. I got punched in the nose and my nose is slightly deviated. What should I do?

Can someone die if you smash their nose?
Actually, the old "palm strike the nose into the brain" myth is just that. If you've ever looked at a skull, you'll see that the actual nose bone is very small and thin, and that there's not a whole lot of empty space between the nasal cavity and the brain case. The nose really isn't that great a target. If you break the nose, you'll cause a LOT of bleeding and make it hard for the person to breathe. However, it's got a low chance of ending in a knockout. A knockout occurs when the brain smacks against the inside of the skull. It's easier to cause that by attacking the chin and jaw, which shakes the head back and fourth. If breaking the nose could easily lead to death, we'd see tons of boxers, kickboxers, and MMA fighters in the morgue every year due to nose breakage.
Pressing on my nose bump...will it go down?
My nose has been an obstacle in life...and wat pisses me off is that im the only one who sees all the bad thing about it...i ask my brothers and sisters and they're like wtf, nothing's wrong with it...i see it slightly twisted in the mirror, i have a bump, and it's a bit too big for my face...I ABSOLUTLEY HATE IT.... i press on the bump and it goes down and becomes straight for just a couple minutes...how the F is that possible if its bone? Im positive its bone and not skin so how come it goes down when i press on it-i dont press with all my strength, just half...if i continue doing that will the bump eventually go down a little? BTW i will never get a surgery, i wish i could but its against my religion and no way in hell r my parents going to let me....and dont say nose magic cuz that is just going to make my nose look bigger from the side even if it covers the bump... I ve never been bullied in school...never had any one tell me im ugly- in fact, ppl tell me im pretty and i get compliments all the time but i just cant believe them, even if i so badly want to...i jst cant, i feel like they are lying...cuz wat i see in the mirror is complete hideousness...HELP

It always seems to be a lot of controversy on how well slugs can penetrate bone particularly skull I feel like a lot of people don't know iwhat they're talking about so I was wanting to hear this from people that actually know
Do nose shapers actually work?
They don't and they can't scientifically. Upper 1/3 of nose is bone which can not be shaped without surgery . Middle and Lower 1/3 is cartilage and that too can not be shaped with clip . It will be like trying to straighten a dog's tail .Incidentally one of my patents used it before coming to me for surgery . The clip had caused dark discoloration and thinning of her skin , which is a bad thing , because skin should be healthy for best rhinoplasty results .Nose shapers are not just a scam - the makers don't know of the problems they can cause . Looks like the nose huggie is a knock-off product of the original: Nose Magic. I know nothing about it, but check out the original website to learn more about how it works. http://www.nosemagic.com/how-to-use-nose... The nose magic website says that a fake product could possibly apply too much pressure to your nose and injure it.
Is there any way to get rid of the dorsal hump in my nose without surgery?
As a rhinoplasty surgeon, I would normally tell you that a surgical rhinoplasty is the only option to reduce a dorsal hump. However, if you fall into a small subset of patients, you may be a candidate for a nonsurgical rhinoplasty, where hyaluronic acid fillers are injected into the nose to create the illusion that the hump is reduced. There are generally 4 indications:If the area between the eyes (radix) is low and you have a dorsal hump.To fill in contour irregularitiesTo raise a drooping tipTo partially “straighten” a crooked noseIf you fall under these categories, a nonsurgical rhinoplasty is an option. I would recommend consulting with a Board-Certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in both surgical and nonsurgical rhinoplasty. He or she will accurately evaluate your nose and develop a plan according to your needs.
