Will Putting A Phone Bill Under My Name After 7yrs Of Nothing. Would It Help Out My Credit Alot A

What happens if you don't pay your credit card bills?

what can a card company do to you.I want everyone to know that I am not trying to get out of paying my bills but my house payment is more important and my work has went down and I have 3 kids

Medical bill - What happens if i just don't pay?

My wife went to the emergency room. We have insurance with a high co-pay. We own a home and don't plan on buying another one any time soon. We have enough cash to pay the bill, some in my wifes name. I believe that the law is that a creditor can only force you into bankruptcy if you are delinquent on debts totaling around $11,000. the bill will be under $11k. My questions are 1 - If we just don't pay I know that it will show up on her credit, but what else will happen? will they sue or will it just go away in 7 years? 2- my credit is great - will it hurt my credit score if they charge it to her? (If you are wondering why I am thinking of not paying it is because I am FED UP with this crappy system. I'm not rich but I work hard and try to save + provide for my sick wife who cant work. It seems that people like me bear all the costs of the system in high taxes/insurance, and we get to pay for all the living expenses of everyone with a hand out to the govt.)

How to start building credit at 17?

besides a credit card (i know at 17 you can't get a credit card) how can i start building credit? why i ask, because i'll be graduating before i turn 18, i want to start building credit now, so i could buy a house during college. i hate the idea of throwing away over $20,000 in rent and utilities during college and not even owning the house. besides that the town the college is in has no good apartment but a lot of small cute houses for sale.

Debt Collectors Called me, Im scared

Next time they call, inform them that the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) requires that they send you in writing any and all information regarding the deb. Phone calls do not count.

By law they have 5 days to send you this information from the first contact (unless they have already sent it).

Here is a link to where you can read what it is they are supposed to do. Once they notify you, you have the right to dispute the debt and they have to prove it is yours.

Help! Friend wants to register his car in my name?

If you allow this it could be the biggest mistake you will ever make. It is just plain foolish. You would open yourself to liability and you could end up paying off a lawsuit for the rest of your life since you would be liable if ":He" gets in an accident, gets a traffic ticket, etc.

DO NOT DO IT !

BTW. A drivers license IS NOT required to buy, title, register or insure a car in any US state. A drivers license is required to DRIVE. Nothing else !
