Will Republicans Talk About Women And Abortion In The Next Election

Why would women vote for Republicans?

Every single republican candidate has guaranteed the voters they will defund Planned Parenthood. Why would any woman vote for someone who is trying to get rid of something so essential to women? Not only that, republicans have said nothing about equal pay for equal work. What am I missing here? Are they being brainwashed by their Republican husbands?

Why are Women leaning toward Mitt Romney and the Republicans?

Republicans want to over turn Roe vs. Wade, make invasive ultrasounds mandatory and cut funding for health care including breast cancer screenings. They are against Obama care paying for birth control and seem to want to send this country backwards to the 1950's. I don't understand these women? Explain it to me please without the nasty slacker answers. thanks

Why haven't the Republicans submitted any legislation making abortion illegal?

I believe that the Republican party understands that their real platform is not attractive to enough Americans to stay in power. Therefore they have chosen a few issues that people are passionate about and pay lip service to it. Specifically, I am talking about abortion and the 2nd amendment. The Republicans claim to be "pro-life" yet they don't actually do anything about it. For the last year they have been in complete control of the federal government. They own the Presidency, both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court. They can pass ANY legislation they want. They just forced through a "tax reform" bill that every economist says is grossly weighted towards the already wealthy and which every poll says is very unpopular. They also tried to repeal the ACA/Obamacare which would have cost millions of lower income Americans their healthcare while also reducing taxes on the wealthiest. They have not mentioned abortion even once. Their is no hint of legislation from anyone. It is barely even mentioned on their website. How can this be? They campaigned as being "pro-life"!! The reason is, they want your votes and because they want your votes, they will NEVER make abortion illegal because massive numbers of people will stop voting for their real platform.Ask yourself if taking away poor peoples healthcare, stopping meals on wheels, reducing funding for SSI, Medicare and Medicaide, refusing refugees, etc.. is really "pro-life". Is refusal to even consider banning assault rifles "pro-life"?These are tough words to say an hear. If you suspect there might be some truth to it, please give it some thought and discuss it with your friends.Let's elect some politicians who are really "pro-life" and want to help those in need, including helping young women in trouble make better choices.

What are the main reason men are republicans. My brother claims it is for things like abortion but?

since 20% are done for economic reasons (that is , one is more likely to chose abortion is economy is bad, no health care or underinsured or health care & gas etc expensive, & no jobs or working 2 or 3 low paying jobs etc) so more lives are saved via democractic social programs which is the saving of 880 unborn babies a day (statistic bear this out as abortions were at the highest since Roe v Wade and lowest under Clinton.).

More unborn babies are saved from democratic policies than republican rhetoric (talking).
My brother agreed reps do nothing about abortion except talk & said he was thinking of voting dem this time (as he is fed uop with Bush & Taft (voted worst gov in all the states with 17% approval) yet in the end voted straight rep.
I'm wondering why? What are the real reasons he sticks stubbornly with this party. I suspect it's go something 2 do with money more than values as he'ds always loved money in my opinion. What could his reasons be & what are reasons of most men

How can Alabama Republicans vote for Roy Moore and ignore his allegations against minors/kids while saying Jones is pro-abortion? Isn’t that contradictory thinking to a group of people who are pro-life?

Alabama Republicans may still vote for Roy Moore because these accusations remain allegations, not criminal charges or convictions.Republicans will respond meaningfully if Roy Moore is proven to be a sexual predator as claimed. Expect strong efforts to remove Moore from Congress if the charges are proven. But facts, not accusations, are what matters. For example, Republicans booted Dennis Hastert from the U.S. House for corruption and a child sexual abuse and hush-money scheme.Dennis Hastert - WikipediaBut what’s the deeper story? Why do conservatives so distrust these accusations?Over the years, Democrats have repeatedly used arguably false sexual harassment accusations against political opponents. often this is done about 30 days before elections.Generally this tactic goes back at least to the Clarence Thomas - Anita Hill hearings. Democrats’ strategy against Justice Thomas included both accusations of sexual harassment and some of the worst racial stereotypes against black men that ever existed.Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination - WikipediaAlso many Democrats are only just now accepting the truth about Bill Clinton and his victims. It’s wonderful to see Democrats abandon the double standard about sex harassment and rape. These women have waited more than 20 years for justice. Hillary herself attacked these three women in the media. Though Ms. Clinton never paid a price until last year’s election.Bill Clinton sexual misconduct allegations - WikipediaJuanita Broaddrick - WikipediaPaula Jones - WikipediaKathleen Willey - WikipediaBill Clinton also paid Paula Jones $850,000 in a settlement. Innocent people don’t usually do that.Appeals court ponders Paula Jones settlement

Do evangelical voters care about any other issue besides abortion?

Do evangelical voters care about any other issue besides abortion? They generally support a conservative agenda, although there are exceptions. However, the primary motivation for the religious right did not begin with Roe v. Wade in 1973 and opposition to abortion. It began with opposition to racial integration, and its other hallmarks - opposition to abortion, LGBT rights, and “feminism” - came later. Pro-life luminaries like Jerry Falwell began as segregationists. Bob Jones University forbade interracial dating among its students until after a visit by President George W. Bush in 2000 brought attention to this policy. It Wasn’t Abortion That Formed the Religious Right. It Was Support for Segregation.

Women make up 24.9% of the legislature nationally. Are women mad enough to make a dent in their representation in November? Will they run and will they vote?

Women are running in elections. Women are voting. Oddly enough that doesn’t seem to make a difference. Here’s an interesting tidbit: Women make up OVER 50% of the population of the earth. Wow, we should be a matriarchal society if that’s true, right? Nope.Women have the WNBA, and the Women’s soccer league. They don't’ get much play on air, unless it’s a “woman’s channel”. Why? Men won’t watch. Women do a ton of very logical things every day. They run households with tight schedules. They manage household budgets with ever decreasing funds and ever-increasing expenditures. Women are smart, capable, compassionate people. Then you ask about women, and you get that we’re emotional, illogical, etc. etc. etc.I don’t know how we’ve put ourselves in this position, but women have allowed ourselves to be treated as second-class citizens. It’s pretty depressing.btw, I don’t want supremacy. I want equality. I want the Women's Basketball group to be shown similar to men’s basketball. From what I hear, it’s really a good league (and frankly, some of men’s sports are incredibly boring - to me). I want women to be respected for the incredible amount of time and money management skills we demonstrate regularly. I want us to be respected.Ahh, I’m ranting against a power structure I still don’t understand. And somehow, we women are complicit.
