Can willful sin be forgiven?
The sins you commit without realizing it are automatically forgiven by virtue of Jesus' sacrifice if you ask forgiveness in your prayers. The sins you commit involuntarily ( the sin of anger for example) fall in the same category. The sins you commit willfully can be forgiven if you sincerely regret them. However, you must act in harmony with your prayers. You must try your best not to do them again.

How does killing Jesus forgive sins? What kind of a "god" can only forgive a sin through killing?
This is an interesting question, but I think one first has to say that the truth of it cannot be explained away or proven philosophically. It happened or it didnt. The NT documents are assessed for accuracy historically, not philosophically. Philosophy has to follow the history, not the other way around. And while this is another subject, the documents can be shown to be authentic. To pass off your question with a mere “you have to choose logic or stories” as some answers might is therefore intellectual laziness.So assuming they are accurate (if they are not, the OP question doesnt matter) we are left with this question: if killing Jesus did the trick, restoring him to life would have undone it, right? I mean, in the wording of the question he didnt really pay a price, he merely lent it out. So what was actually happening?The “death” consequence of our chosen independence from God is just that, life without Him. The eternal existence of this is described in pretty graphic terms in the bible - so consuming as to be called fire - but that is what it is. We get our choice. We are actually living it now, and who could doubt that, but remove God completely and eternally and it will be infinitely worse. If one thinks existence is manipulative, isolated and predatory now….That is the consequence God paid. It is evocative to say something like “killing Jesus”, but Jesus’ claim to identity is that he was God on earth. He paid it. God didnt make someone else take the freight; He took it. One cant make that go away with a gotcha question.

In regards to forgiveness, is there a difference between willful sin and ignorant sin?
Indeed there is. Willful sin means that the person intended to do what he did. Ignorant sin means the person didn't know what he was doing. There is another kind of sin that needs to be mentioned, and that's weak sin, where the person knows that what he is doing is wrong but can't stop doing whatever it is. That's the kind of sin Paul refers to in Romans 7.

God was the source of life and when he cut himself off from Him he became subject to death. The reason Christ came was to reconnect man to heaven. The sins of men fell on him and he died in our place. We were given what He deserved and He was given what we deserve.
