Will The Army Let Me Join As A General Fitter

15 year old girl. I want to join the army?

You've plenty of time to make your decision. Just stay in school and concentrate on your education. You can browse the various service web sites to get an idea of what's going on. Stay away from drugs and bad company and remember that any advice you get here is probably worth as much as...well you think about it. Everyone has an opinion, what makes anyone else's advice better than your own. Good luck to you

How can I stop my son from joining the military?

You have to let your baby fly one day, if you try to force him down a path he doesn't want you may very well lose him.

Don't say another thing about it to him. If you try to push him away from it he will just be more determined to join the military. And remember there are a LOT of incentives offered to young intelligent people to get them to join the military, other answerers have already listed them. If he is a responsible and intelligent young man he will have already thought of them. At his age 'getting killed in some war'is a purely hypothetical and the thought of it actually happening to him has not actually entered his mind.

Let him fly, if you have done your job as a parent right he will make the right decision. Do you really want to undo all the hard work you have put in just to keep him safe? Our job as a parent is to raise ADULTS not to keep them children. That means that in order to grow up we need to let them make decisions that we may not necessarily like.

My mother always said the best way to DISCOURAGE a child from doing something was usually to make them think you actually WANT them to do it. If you can't fully support his desire to join the military keep quiet about it. I don't know if it will work for your son, but it's certainly proved effective with all three of her children!

I am 25 year old and want to join indian army. how can I join?

There are many answers which are telling that you can’t join the Indian Army except the technical branch due to your age but the thing is still you can join the Army. You can join the Territorial Army(TA).The Indian Territorial Army (TA) is a second line of defence after the Regular India Army; it is not a profession, occupation or a source of employment. It is only meant for those people who are already in mainstay civilian professions; in fact, gainful employment or self-employment in a civil profession is a prerequisite for joining the Territorial Army. For joining the TA,The maximum age limit is of 42 years. You must be either salaried/businessman.Procedure:For joining the Indian Territorial Army (TA) as an officer, you have to first fill up the form which are out twice a year in November/December and April/May and send it to the respective TA zone of your place, where you live. After which the shortlisted candidates are called for the written exams. Those who clears the exam are called for the interview by the Personal Interview Board(PIB) at the HQ of your TA zone. After PIB, the selected candidates are sent for the Service Selection Board interview (SSB) where you are tested that are you fit for becoming an officer in the Indian Army or not.The procedure is long but it is very simple.

I am confused between what should I join, the Indian Army or Indian Police Service. Who can bring a greater change?

Truth be told. Career wise: 1. SP of a city is equivalent to a colonel in the Army. (on the basis of stars on the  shoulder, otherwise, Army officer can never be equal to an IPS officer)You can become an SP at the age of 25. But a colonel at an age of 40 or more. You may in fact retire as colonel. But, if you get into the IPS, it would be your fundamental right to get to the rank of Director General of Police.2. Contacts you make in the IPS would be diverse, you'd be friends with Politicians, IAS, Foreign Services officers, Diplomats, Businessmen, Artists, Doctors, Railways Officials, Revenue officials. But, in the Army your life would revolve around the demotivated Jawans of your unit or the frustrated Colonel who at the age of 50 is earning far too lower than his counterparts in other services. It is fun to stand near a Tank or jump of a plane for a while. But, after sometimes you have kids to look after to.3. In army, people kill to get posted in Delhi. But, in the IPS. You could take up deputations anytime in the IB, CBI, Ministries, PMO, RAW, BSF, CISF etc.4. You can always opt for higher specialised degrees from Harvard and Stanford once in the IPS. Same is not possible in the Indian Army.It is unwise of you to have even put the name army and IPS in the same sentence. I hope, I have answered your question.Good luck.

When should I talk to an Air Force recruiter?

Heed my advice. Don't talk to a recruiter until you have made your decision about joining the military. That means what job you want and where you want to be stationed.

Talk to active duty and former Airmen. Do searches online.

The recruiter should be the LAST person you talk to.

Remember, the recruiters job primarily is to convince you to join and to do so quickly. He WILL answer your questions but he won't give you the WHOLE picture. That's why it's important that you do personal research.

Hope this helps

What is the work of a tradesman in the army?

Actually every soldier except for GD (General Duty) personnel (usually infantry soldiers) have a trade. It could be a technical trade like automotive technician, electrician (auto), aviation fitter, welder and so on (there are over a hundred different technical trades) or an administrative trade like driver, clerk (again there anre many such administrative trades) etc. So the word ‘trade’ in The Army just means the kind of job that a particular soldier is trained for (apart from the basic combat tactics and handling of common weapons like rifle, light machine gun, carbine etc in which each and every soldier is trained - no matter what his trade). However in general Army parlance the term ‘tradesman’ is usually applied to those soldiers who provide the support services required by soldiers living in barracks like cooking(trade-chef), cleaning(trade-housekeeper), laundry(trade-washerman), hair-cutting(trade-hairdresser) and so on.What needs to be clearly understood is that these ‘tradesmen’ are as much of soldiers as the others and are fully capable of handling weapons and being deployed as combatants. They also enjoy equal status and perks as other soldiers, wear the same uniform, eat in the same mess alongside other soldiers and are in every way treated as equals.
