Will my motorcycle burn scar?
I got a motorcyle burn on my calf 7 months ago, and it's still red/white. Will the pigment ever return? Also, the skin is not the same texture as the rest of my skin. Does anyone know if it'll heal? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Will a burn scar ever go away?
You should always be very careful with a burn and with what you put on it as many things have chemicals that can also burn. You may want to consider medical treatment if its bad enough. For the scarring, again if its bad enough you probably won't get all of it to diminish. However a very good tool in reducing a scar, expecially when it is still fresh, but even when it isn't, is Vitimin E. You can purchase the liquid form, or the pill form and just use a pin to puncture the pill and squeeze the fluid out. A few times a day rub some right over the scarring. Be faithful about it for awhile as soft tissue takes awhile to heal. Vitimin E I assure you is a healer and WILL minimize the scar if you stick with its usage. You can also take it orally at the same time for added healing. It's a wonderful product in minimizing a scar. Keep in mind I am NOT of a medical background nor do I have any training. Ask your doctor about vitimin E and healing. They should know the same information.
I have a burn scar can i still join the military?
It is self mutilation which technically means you would have to get a psych consult. However, no recruiter in the world will let that story make it to MEPS. You can join with scars, just make sure that you don't tell them you did it to yourself. If you do, your recruiter will probably tell you to come up with a different story.
Will dry ice burn the skin and leave a scar?
It will leave a flat scar, which is likely to be lower than surrounding skin. It will be white, as the fibroblasts making up the scar will not make melanin. In Australia, many people have skin cancers removed with dry ice, at doctors' rooms. It leaves unsightly blemishes, when done that way. Your brother MIGHT be lucky, and it MIGHT grow back as normal skin, if he did not leave it on the skin very long. When it is used for cancers, the Dr needs to get to cells at the base of the skin cancer, so the whole thickness of skin must be injured. BTW, it is NOT a burn; it is a freezing injury.
Will my burn bubble-blister scar?
I got a pretty bad burn from a heat appliance on my arm that formed into about an inch long blister, sounds gross but it sort of looks like a golden worm sitting on top of my skin, surrounded by redness. It's pretty raised. I read about proper care etc. but I was just wondering if someone has had something similar and if it healed without any major scarring? Will it go away completely? Thanks for any help!
Will a cigarette burn on my lip leave a scar?
I was being a drunk idiot this weekend and smoked my cigarette too far down and burnt my lip. It doesn't hurt at all but I have a dark purplish mark where it burnt. Will this ever fade go away? Can I do something to make it better? THANKS!
