G'day, Great Question : Are the Aussies fearing getting bashed by the Poms in this year’s ashes series?As I write this,Australia have their first ever series loss to India in Australia and won their series against Sri Lanka also in Australia.England have lost the first two tests against West Indies.I reckon Australia and England are pretty evenly matched right now. I doubt the Aussies ever fear getting bashed by the poms.Especially now the poms are losing to West Indies who are ranked the lowest of any of these 5 teams we have spoken about so far.Aussies fear nothing and view losing to anyone as an anomaly, rather than an expectation. Losing to the poms (even though they have lost the Ashes in England for like what, almost the last 20 years!) Even more so. Australians think beating England every time we play at anything is an Australain birthright.I think it will be a very long English summer for both teams, when we have the World Cup then the Ashes.Should be fun.Go Aussies.

Your dog is not incontinent, she is doing submissive urination. There is a HUGE difference. You need to ignore it. You need to be calm when you interact with her, and not interact with her until she calms down. She will get over it. As for the alleged beating, I would highly doubt it, she just sounds like a typical unsocialized fearful dog. Try not to read anything extra into her behavior. She has had a lot of turmoil in her life, but probably not abuse. I do have a Pom who was confiscated by AC for real abuse. She was terrified of everyone. It took a full year for her to come around, and I did real dog training with her to gain her confidence. You are going to need to be patient with this dog, but do not coddle her. Poms are big dogs in a little body. Treat her like a real dog, she will come around I promise.

I lost a bet to cheerleaders last year school starts again soon think they forgot over the Summer or will they
make me suffer? I said girls can't beat guys in sports and cheerleading isn't a sport. The bet was if I beat a cheerleader in basketball she had to be my maid in school all through football season, but if she beat me, they got to make me cheer any way they want. They dressed me up as a cheerleader made me do a cheer, but then they said since she had to be a maid if she lost, I should have to be a cheerleader for the same amount of time. So do you think they'll just forget or what do you think they'll make me do for the bet if they don't forget?

You already feel badly enough so I'm not going to pile on here.Make a place for your dog in every room where you spend significant time, putting a small cushion or mat or towel or blanket in a corner where they can see you, but away from you. Pick the puppy up and put them in their spot, tell them to stay, give them a toy, and go back where you were doing. You'll have to do this probably several dozen times before the puppy gets it, but they will. Be patient, be kind, be firm, be consistent, and give him praise when he does the right thing. But don't punish a puppy for being a puppy, and don't punish a dog for being a dog. Just like a littel kid full of energy and wanting to play, they can't understand that there's anytng anyone would rather do than play. It doesn't take long to exhaust them. And all they really want as they get older is to please you. Learn how to tell your puppy what you want. Once they figure it out, you can count on them to do it.Puppies are only learning how to be good dogs and they are learning that from you. If you are gentle and sweet, they will be, too. If you are not, that's what they'll learn from you. It's up to you.

I have 2 Poms. And yes, they do go through "puppy uglies" That is when they loose the puppy coat to get the adult coat. My youngest Pom is 10 month old and now his his adult coat. Relax and enjoy and his hair will get long again too. Why do people just jump and say you got it from a BYB. I never read that......
Why after getting cancer treatment do people generally call the survivors 'heroes who beat and destroyed cancer'?
Usually people say this when they have not experienced cancer themselves. It is based in fear, they want to think that it isn’t possible to have some control over something that is life-threatening. It is also based in ignorance, because if they knew more about cancer, they would understand that every situation is different, there are so many different factors that determine what happens with a person’s cancer and how the person and the cancer respond to treatment. A lot of these factors are still unknown and have yet to be discovered. There is never a 100% guarantee that the cancer is gone or that the person will not suffer a recurrence or relapse, or even develop another type of cancer later. I call this false cheerleading. The person with cancer isn’t a hero- they are very strong to get through everything that goes with a cancer diagnosis, but they really don’t have much choice if they want the best chance of surviving. If we did a better job of educating the public about cancer, we would have less of this and more supportive and helpful sentiment expressed to people with cancer. No evidence of disease does not mean cure. Just being sensitive to the person’s anxiety about the cancer ever recurring and expressing your support of them in moving forward is better than shaking Pom-poms and saying “rah-rah” you beat cancer like it’s a sporting event.
