Will The Uc Schools Still Accept My Act Score Even After The Deadline Of The Admission Application

Do SAT scores have to be submitted by the application deadline?

I'm looking for a clear answer without guesswork, possibly a source of information. I sent in my applications to schools on time but my SAT scores have not been received yet. (January 15th application deadline for some schools, scores sent by collegeboard two days ago) I know that collegeboard takes up to two weeks to send the scores, so will my application still be reviewed if the scores have not come in yet?

"The UC application deadline is November 30", does that mean everything has to be turned in?

By "everything", I mean personal statements, resume, SAT/ACT scores.

Because I want to take the SAT in November (as a high school senior), but I don't know if that's too late.

Will I still be accepted to my dream school UC Irvine? ***PLEASE REPLY!!***?

I am really scared right now and sick to the stomach of getting into my dream university: UC Irvine. I am worried so much and cannot stop freaking out..

I am in plenty of advanced classes and I do so many extra curricular activities including Vice President of my class, and president of two other clubs at my school (Model UN and Key Club).

I am also a 3 season athlete and I will be tennis captain of my team next year.
This marking period I got a C- in pre-calc honors, and I am in my junior year so grades are SUPER important. My GPA because of this is a 3.3 (based on my estimation of my other grades). I know that schools only look at a final grade so I am going to study extremely hard and try to get straight A's these next two marking periods. But if I don't I'm afraid my GPA might end up being around a 3.5. Are my chances still good at getting into my dream school UC Irvine? I'm heart sick that I messed up my chances. SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND!

Recommendations for college (UC schools)?

Hello! I'm glad to see that you're interested in the University of California schools. They're pretty great schools. My sister went to Davis and I went to Berkeley.

First of all, you do NOT need recommendations. Mostly only private schools take and/or need recommendations. Acceptance to UCs is mostly based on your high school grades, your SAT or ACT scores, extra curricular activities, and your college app essays.

If you did well in high school, got good grades, took honors classes and AP classes, then i'm pretty sure you'll have a good chance of getting in.

I don't think it's completely easy to get into the UCs though. and unlike that other yahoo user says, UC Irvine is not the hardest to get into. It is actually one of the UCs that has a higher acceptance rate. You can also look up acceptance rates on College Board somewhere. Berkeley and LA are the hardest to get into. UC Berkeley is actually the number 1 public university in the nation. LA is 3rd and SD 7th. I included the link in case you wanna see where all of them are ranked in standards and such, relatively.

Of course the course difficulty is pretty tough but UCs have standards to uphold which make them great universities. If you've ever taken a difficult AP class, most of the classes are kind of like that except you'll have to do a lot more reading and take a lot of initiative in your learning.

Again, unlike that other yahoo user suggest, most classes don't have 500 students. My first semester at UC Berkeley I was in an english class with less than 20 students! We got to know our professor pretty well. I was also in a Calculus class with more than 200 students. It really just depends on what classes you take and the availability of that subject/section.

The UCs have a great setting, though. Most of them have great college campuses and lots of people live there so the campuses have wide open spaces unlike commuter schools like state universities.

Don't feel bad if you don't accepted into one college over another. It doesn't mean you're dumb or anything it just might mean they want to keep up the diversity in their school as well.

Good luck with your college applications. Don't put off writing your college essays. Those take a while and you should allocate your word restraints thoughtfully.

I hope this helped! =D

Is there any benefit to submitting your UC app prior to the application deadline?

The simple answer is no. The admissions office(s) will wait until all applications are submitted before considering any. In the meantime they will be sorted internally and prepared for the admissions officers to begin going through them after the deadline date has passed. There are no extra points granted for turning your work in early, so to speak.

If UC/CSU applications are due on November 30, and I take a third SAT in December, will they see the updated score for December?

The examination requirement is the official confirmation to your question and is the place for you to check. In this link UC saysSubmission deadlineFreshman applicants must arrange to have official score reports sent to us. If you plan to take an exam in December of your last year of high school, indicate the planned test date on your admission application. If you're applying for admission to the fall term, be sure to take your admissions tests no later than December of your senior year/last year prior to high school graduation — preferably earlier — to ensure that your application receives prompt and full consideration. Can I report the score of the SAT of December 1 to UCLA even though the website of UC says that the application deadline is November 30?

Yes. SAT & ACT tests are developed & administered by their College Boards, not individual universities. The SAT/ACT organizations contract out some or all professional test scoring. Universities are well aware of these testing schedules. Universities develop, administer & set their own admissions applications deadlines. They are aware that some of your test scores may be pending at the time your admissions application is submitted. Your essay Scores must be scored by trained & qualified professionals. This takes longer than other test sections that may be scored by computers. You should send a letter to the UCLA Admissions Director and attach your SAT scores. Good luck!
