Will These Options Let Me Do Maths At Uni

I regret my GCSE options?!?

I took french, art, sociology and CiDA (which is like computer studies).

I HATE french. My God; I'm not the only one, a lot of us regret taking french now. The main reason we did take it was because we were told it was a requirement for university or something... Well. I'm stuck with it now.

I was interested in history, but I didn't take it because the lessons were really boring in school. I'm the kind of person who can't cope if I'm not interested - as in I just drop it. (It's not a very good mindset, to be honest- this is why I'm having problems now!) So I didn't take it. But maybe I should've, because I enjoyed the subject in general anyway.

I also wish I'd taken dram and media- I'm interest in animating (why I took art- as well as the fact I just enjoy it), tv shows (cartoons), stuff like that. Drama is so much fun! For now, I've just been involved with the drama department if any events come up, just so I can still do it even though I'm not doing it for GCSE (We're doing Macbeth at the moment).

I have tried changing it- I approached my head of year, but she said she couldn't do anything about it.

Admittedly I was different in year 9, as in I was a lot less confident (drama was a no, back then) and had different interests, but now I've changed- I'm really regretting my choices.

Will this affect my future? Can I still do some of these subjects for A Levels if I didn't do it for GCSE? Dammit, I wish they let us have more options. Last year, they had 5 options- They keep cutting it down!

What are different career options in commerce without maths in future?

Opting commerce without maths is sure a tough task. I too am a commerce student, and I didn’t had maths in my intermediate, but that doesn’t mean in any sense that I’ve less opportunities than a commerce plus maths student . Are community colleges for "Stupid People?"?

In May of next year, I will be graduating from high school as probably a honors graduate. I've taken (and am taking) 4 of the hardest classes my school offers: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP Biology, and AP US History. Along with those, I've taken multiple honors courses throughout my high school career.

With all of that said, I don't consider my self to be a "dumb" person. Anyways, I haven't yet decided my career, am not ready to leave my parents house yet, and am not ready to make a final decision on what university I want to go to yet. Most of the people at my school have already applied and been accepted to large universities, but I haven't yet applied because I don't know what I want to do or where I want to go. I'm literally completely lost on all of this.

With all of that said, there's a small, local community college down the road from my home that I'm considering. I don't plan on graduating from there, I plan on moving on to a university eventually. I mainly want to go there to better acclimate to the college environment, get some basic courses out of the way, and have extra time to make a better planned decision on where I want to end up graduating from. But, most of the people at my school make community colleges out to only be for stupid people.

So, with all of that in mind, is it a dumb idea for me to go to a local community college for a semester or two to plan and think on where I want to graduate college?

What should be my career path as I love maths and physics?

Consider going into mathematical physics or theoretical physics.Deepthi Amarasuriya's answer to What is the difference between a mathematical physicist and a theoretical physicist?Other than in academia (where jobs are very hard to find in these fields), you could go into jobs that require image processing - Astronomy labs, medical image processing, geological image processing, etc. There are options in finance that I’m not knowledgeable enough to give sufficient detail.
