System Requirements Lab says that my laptop can run Skyrim, can I trust it?

If you don't mind playing with minimum textures and settings, you will be able to get some very playable frame rates. You will probably notice some slow down with intensive fighting and the like; expect console-like quality as your very maximum, and probably even lower than that. But, playable, and enjoyable.

Skyrim is not a resource intensive game, meaning more computer players can benefit from it without breaking the bank updating their video cards. A minimum requirement was made and is usually a good indicator for what you need to run and PLAY the game. Most importantly is making sure your video card is DX 9c compliant, which yours is. Without that, you would be able to run but not play the game, as the other answerer was going on about.

Since the HD 4250 takes over some of the system memory, your system will have less memory available when running graphics intensive applications. This will absolutely require you to close all programs before launching the game (web browsers, anti-virus programs, etc). Set any anti-aliasing to 0 as well (it will probably default for you); all this does is 'round out' the textures so curves look smoother, but it makes the video card work overtime.

If you are still concerned, wait for it to launch and then look for gameplay videos of Skyrim running on the Mobility 4250 on youtube.

Will an i3-2120 bottleneck a GTX 660?

Simple question. I want to get a friend of mine a new GPU (He's running an HD 4650) and so I want to make sure the GPU isn't limited by the CPU, otherwise I might have to get a new CPU as well.

What games would this laptop run?

Nice specs for gaming, I am sure you can play games like Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Assassin's Creed III, GTA IV, Prince of persia Forgotten Sands, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry Blood Dragon, Call of Duty Black ops, Call of Duty Black ops 2, Sleeping Dogs etc.
These specs are enough for good gaming. And yes, games will medium settings would this work.

Anime fans...do you also enjoy video games?

I mean games like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and the Pokemon games.
I just notice that a lot of anime fans also happen to enjoy Japanese video games, there's more than the ones I've listed but those are just an example.
And games like World of Warcraft, Minecraft and Skyrim too.
I like them all, except I haven't played WoW yet, I keep getting mixed reviews about it. I'll give it a try one of these days.

Can this run skyrim and dishonored?

Yes, maximum settings.

Why does Far Cry 3 look great, (graphics and flow) but still runs nicely on an average PC?

First of all Far Cry 3 was optimized for consoles with limited ram so it will run very good on any pc with higher specs than consoles.Second reason is, it uses precomputed radiosity probes for dynamic lighting (meaning various combinations of dynamic lighting are pre calculated intead of being calculated while running the game) which improves performance and quality both, but while development makes changing map design time consuming while requiring high specs pc for developers.Compare with Crysis which had full dynamic lighting and requires same high spec pc for both developers and gamers.
