Will This European Model Moto X Work In Austrlia

Will an Indian Moto G work in the USA?

You don't necessarily need a new phone. But in case of the Moto G, you might have to buy a new one. That is if you want to take full advantage of the internet and the 4G spectrum available there. The change is mostly the frequencies. The Moto G version released in India is the same as the one released in US so you won't have trouble with the frequencies although you won't have LTE or 4G. Talking about what phones they use in the US, I can't really help you on that one. But, it is worth noting that it is one of the biggest markets for iPhones so, iPhones should be pretty common there. Then there are a lot of phones you won't get here that you'll get there. The Moto droid is an example. And if you'll be staying there for over two years, you should consider getting a smartphone on contract with one of their service providers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. You will be able to get most phones at a reduced price with a two year contract. Good luck.

Will a phone purchased in India work with Australian SIM cards?

If your phone is universal variant it will work on all countries based on their carriers.Few are region specific like us , Asia pacific,UK, Australia specific etc.In India most phones are global as they are not carrier specific like at&t , sprint, Verizon, except few brands like Samsung, HTC , LG.Most release mobiles in India with bands that's been supported in India. If you have bought a device from Chinese manufacturer it should be universal like mi, OnePlus etc,.So it will work definitely but all the bands support like 2g/3g/4g band cannot be confirmed. It will work in any of the band if SIM card from Australia support the band of your phone. You can checkout your phone is universal or not in GSM phone reviews, news, opinions, votes, manuals and more...

Does UAE SIM card works in the phone (Moto G2) bought in India?

Check the device network band compatibility with UAE mobile communication network bands. Sometimes it also depends on the city you live in. Not all the cities offer a broad range of network bands. Few months ago, I bought an HTC phone (don’t remember the model name) in India and brought it to Canada where I live currently. The phone worked in few cities and wouldn't connect to any network in the city I live. I realized that my phone was not compatible with the network bands offered by the cellular companies in the city where I lived. I bought a new phone and made sure it worked with local networks. Best way to check your device compatibility is to visit the mobile carrier website and enter your handset details and your place of residence in UAE. If your device is compatible it will tell you right away. Hope this helps.

Can Indian mobiles be used in the US?

As people mentioned here the Band, I would like to add one more thing because I had faced trouble with this. Please check the Mobile company as well to support in USA, for example - I have bought the InFocus Mobile from India just before coming to USA and also bought the Lyca SIM to call from the Airport etc. for a month initially. To my surprise, the Mobile did not work after leaving India, I thought this is the SIM problem which may not have activated so I really felt cheated by Lyca that I could not make any calls to my family from any airports on the way like from Abu Dhabi and then US. I was trying to reach Lyca Customer care from India as well as USA but after 2–3 weeks only I came to know that this is the problem with my Mobile Brand because the SIM worked in any other mobile. After checking few sites and also spoke to Snapdeal customer care, I came to know that InFocus only works in India and China as of now so I am using this mobile just for Internet purpose in USA and bought the AT&T Gophone. To summarize this, please check the brand also just like InFocus. I came to this question here and thought of answering as now I am looking to buy another new phone for my wife who will be coming to US soon…

What is a Sim Network Unlock Pin?

A“Sim Network Unlock Pin (NUP)” or“Network Unlock Code (NUC)” will remove the carrier lock built into GSM mobile phones by services providers to restrict the use of these phones to specific countries and/or networks. These are usually referred to as "Network (NCK)" or "Service Provider (SPCK)" locks and can be removed using the corresponding unlock codes, which are unique to each phone depending on its IMEI.Typically, a locked handset will display a message if a restricted SIM is used, requesting the unlock code. On recent phone models running Android software, the phone will display a message saying “SIM network unlock PIN” or “Enter Network Lock Control Key” if network locked. Windows phones will display the message, “This SIM card can only be used on specific networks".Unlocking the phone is universally legal so there are more reliable services like https://www.unlockradar.com, that will unlock your cell phone so you can use it with other carriers. The unlock code is verified by the handset and is generated by the manufacturer, typically using an algorithm such as a one way hash or trapdoor function. Sometimes big telecom providers change the original factory unlock codes as an extra layer of security against unlocking services. For various big brands such as Samsung and Motorola there is no algorithm but just a random code generator where the unlock codes are programmed in the phone itself and then saved in a big database managed by the manufacturer. The unlock companies like Unlockradar have access to these databases and that is how they can deliver unlock codes to their customers.
