Will This Piercing Retainer Fit

Retainers for ear piercings?

I would have thought that they would let you wear retainers, since they go unnoticeable to people when just casually looking at you. Well, they've gone unnoticable in the past for me when I waqsn't allowed to wearing normal earrings.

You can most probably purchase them in piercing studios or in the more 'alternative' fashion shops, which involve more things for piercings of all sorts.
Here are some places online where you can order retainers for your ears:
I suggest you look at the labrets:

If it asks for gauge size, I'd suggest you go for either 20 gauge or 18 gauge, since those are the most common sizes for ear piercings to be done at.

I hope this has helped. :)

Bioflex Retainers for piercings?

Hi,

I think the best for you is to get the New Multi-use tubes in BioFlex. They come up to 100mm..the advantage you will get with the BioFlex® multi-use tubes is that you can either use them as internal (with push fit ends like plain discs for retainer for example), or as external where you can screw on a normal threaded ball or cone at the end..and they come in either 1.2mm or 1.6mm and they even have a version that allow you to use internal "screw-in" attachments..

So here you go..you can cut it to the required length and fit whatever you want at the end. Cleaver hey ?

Hope this helps

What are the pros and cons of a plastic industrial piercing retainer?

If you mean a plastic barbell that goes all the way through both piercings, it has a couple of downsides.

1. Since you'll have a big piece of plastic running across your ear, you will still be in danger of getting it caught on something or getting your ear smacked with the ball. If you've ever gotten whacked in the head with a soccer ball and thought it hurt, you will not believe how much worse it will be with a new cartilage piercing in your ear. Cartilage piercings are slow to heal and industrials have the extra aggravation of one piece of jewelry through two piercings, so they take a long time to be happy. Your coach may not allow you to wear such a large piece of jewelry just because of the risk of it getting pulled or caught.

2. Plastic barbells are flexible. As you wear them, they will start to form a curve to fit the area they are in. Since your's will be spanning the gap across your ear, it may start to sag with gravity. This can alter the angles of your piercings and make it difficult to wear a metal barbell if you wanted to. Plastic being flexible makes it nice for things like sleeping and talking on the phone, but having it flex out of shape and distort your piercings is a definate downside.

If you meant to get two seperate retainers and have the piercings angled to match once you are healed, that is a more practical solution. You can put a small plastic barbell in each piercing and they will not be subject to flexing over time the way a larger one would be. Once you're healed (6 months to a year) you could switch to a metal barbell for daily wear and use your retainers for practice.

Talk to your coach and see if you would be allowed to wear retainers in your new piercings. Explain how each option would fit and see if the coach will allow two seperate retainers.

Can I put in a clear retainer right after getting my nose pierced?

For the short and sweet answer, scroll down…The only kind of retainer one can use in a new piercing is glass, and even then, it may be too heavy for a non-healed piercing. Initial piercing jewelry has to be in cartilage piercings for around 3–4 months and then one would go see their piercer for the initial change out. After a year the fistula should be pretty settled and one should be able to change out pieces occasionally. My nostril piercings are respectively 12 (right) and 5(left) years old. I also have my septum pierced (5 years old). All of them can and do get irritated if I mess with taking things in and out constantly. I couldn't imagine a 2 week old piercing and the swelling and damage you can cause to your face.TLDR: you need to wait. If you need to take it out for an employer/ school/ etc, take it out and get it redone later when policy changes or you move to a position where it's OK to have a nostril piercing. You are still very much in the healing phases and will cause issues with try switching out jewelry too early and possibly to a material that is not suitable for healing.

Something to hide my rook piercing?

It's still healing so any kind of retainer would need to be quartz/glass and changed by a professional piercer. Call your piercer and see if they carry a retainer that would fit properly in your rook piercing. Retainers are still visible when up close though.

Can I use my retainer after two months of not wearing it?

Only if you dont plan to take a break again!Teeth require a sufficient time to readjust to the new position they have been moved to. The farther they have moved ,the more their chance to relapse back. That is why we have “retainers”. So if the retainer does not give any discomfort even after a break of 2 months by all means go ahead and continue wearing them. However,in case of the slightest discomfort go see your dentist and get them done again.
