Will This Still Harm My Hair Or Help It At Least A Lil

Hair dye ?????split ends ?????HELP?

Around two years ago I got blonde highlights (my natural hair color is dark brown black btw). Talk about a bad diy project. To make a long story short it went horribly wrong and I ended up having 4-5 different shades of blonde in my hair. Of course I did not like it so I dyed my hair back using revlon colorsilk in dark brown this then made my hair turn brown with light brown highlights. Now its 2 years later and my hair is extremely damaged ridiculosly dry with split ends that split into 7 or eight little hairs I dont even know if those are considered split ends but any way my roots grew out and half my hair is light brown and the other is dark brown. I want to dye my hair dark brown so i can have it normal like i had it before DO YOU RECCOMEND ANY HAIR DYE THAT WILL NOT DAMAGE MY HAIR MORE THAN IT IS AND DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING/ PRODUCTS GOOD FOR SPLIT ENDS ????. A REPLY WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED :)

Will wearing a pony tail every day damage my hair!?

not completely.... she is kind of right. your hair gets damaged from being pulled all the time in a pony-tail. but it wont make you bald, you'll just get broken hair pieces, just wear your hair down more. save the pony tail for sports and bad hair days :)

Will purple shampoo help to fade red hair?

It can tone it down a little bit. Please don't use anything harsh on it like dishwashing liquid or harsh shampoos. These can fade your color but will really dry your hair out. Go ahead and try the purple shampoo, but if you go to a hairstylist they can put a toner on it to help correct the color.

You've got to take a bullet: where would a gunshot wound cause the least harm?

I would agree with the buttocks, even if it was meant in jest. You may fracture the pelvis, but it is hard to enter the abdominal cavity from behind (although it obviously can be done). Even if a shot wound to the chest or abdomen does not injure any major organs (unlikely, but I have seen it several times even in my short time in a major hospital's trauma bay), you will require exploratory surgery which holds its own risks. If I avoid it, I would prefer to be shot in an area distant from the abdomen, since all abdominal wounds require ex-lap unfortunately to rule out hollow viscous injury (hard to detect with current technology otherwise). I spent a month on the trauma service and saw many, many patients with gun shot wounds. Only two were sent home without being admitted: one with a wound to the lower arm that missed all vital structures (nerves, ligaments, arteries), and one with two wounds, to the earlobe and the lower abdomen that miraculously didn't enter the abdominal cavity and instead lodged itself behind the pelvic bone in the buttocks without causing any damage or fracture (despite the mantra of one of the eminent trauma surgeons that "bullets don't curve," this one definitely had a strange path!). The earlobe wasn't a bad place to be hit although the suturing was quite difficult (a senior ENT surgeon was present to make sure it was aligned since cartilage does not heal as well as other tissues) and he had to deal with a burst eardrum for several weeks. In addition, it was a little too close to his head for comfort, at least in my opinion. The extremities are also not a horrible place to be shot from a mortality perspective, although they do tend to lead to longer term disability since you often can get nerve/ligament damage. Notably, in our emergency department (level one trauma center), patients shot in the arms below the elbows or legs below the knees didn't even need to come into the trauma bay - they could be handled by the normal ED docs rather than by the trauma surgeons. Again, personally, I would vote for buttocks - little mortality, little disability, perhaps a story to tell (a story with a warning at least).

I had my hair permed yesterday and i hate it,it looks bad. Can i have it straightened or digitally permed?

I got a perm yesterday and i really hate how it looks. i made a big mistake by not inquiring first. i don;t think i can adjust to the way it looks, i'd really like to change it. can i have it relaxed/rebonded just as soon or maybe get a digital perm to fix the curls. my fear is that it might be bad my hair to have it treated again but i'd really like to change it. i don't want to have the curls cut off because my hair would be chin length then. i need help..

Can I box dye my hair black when it’s bleach damaged?

Hi, Yahaira. Sometimes these questions are a little difficult to answer because of perception, both yours and mine but I’ll give it my best shot. It’s been my experience that hair that has been damaged by bleaching has either lost it’s cuticle (outer layer) entirely or had much of it broken off. The cuticle layer of the hair is at least in part responsible for, not only protecting what is under it, but also for opening up, allowing color in or out, and then closing back down sealing in either the new color or what remains of an old color. For instance, when you’re applying color to the hair the cuticle opens up and allows the new color inside to be absorbed by the hair underneath. After the color process we hope the cuticle will then close back over the new color and the delicate hair underneath sealing and protecting it and holding the new color for at least a certain amount of time. If the cuticle gets damaged, broken off, or otherwise removed there is nothing on the hair shaft to protect the hair and nothing there to hold onto any new color for any length of time so chances are any new color that is applied will only last through a couple of shampoos. Hair that has had bleach left on too long of has been bleached several times can easily have lost much of the protective cuticle layer thus leaving it with no means of sealing in any new color. For this reason you can color your hair again however there is really no way to know how long the color will last, how much it will fade and how fast, and because your overall hair has probably suffered different amounts of damage in different areas whether it will fade evenly over your whole head or not. I’d recommend a good haircut to remove as much of the damage as possible prior to or at least right after you color. Good luck!-S

Does the instyler damage you hair?

i really want to get the instyler. my hair used to be amazing but i had it be chemically damaged and for over a year ive been slowly dealing with it cumming back to health. its now at the point where its okay to use a little heat and i Need to cause my hair is not naturally pretty... ive been reading reviews on this product and some say its great and others say its good till like a month and then it ruined their hair. So should i get this? obv i'd still use heat protected. HELP also of course i'd use it on dry hair! not wet!

What is the right way to oil your hair?

1. Heat before applyingLukewarm oil helps stimulate hair follicles so always make sure that you heat the oil before applying it.2. Don’t pour on your headWhen oiling your hair, don’t dump the liquid on your head. Instead dip your fingers in the oil (if it’s in a bottle, take it out in a small bowl), make partitions of your hair with your fingers and gently apply the oil with your fingertips. Don’t forget your tips, they do not receive any nutrients from your scalp.3. Use adequate quantityGreasy hair does not equate to a higher nutrient quantity for your hair. The more the oil, the higher the shampoo quantity to wash it off.4. Massage hairThere’s a high likelihood that the way you’re oiling your hair is causing them to break. Rubbing oil onto the scalp with your palm will most likely break hair, rather massage hair for 10-15 minutes it will not only improve blood circulation but also have a calming effect. Don’t fight with your tresses, it’s your scalp you’re dealing with.5. The longer the betterSure, it sounds icky, but it’s best to leave oil in your hair overnight so it can fully absorb all the nutrients. However, leaving it on for more than 24 hours will only attract dirt and weaken hair.6. Steam hairAfter applying the oil, steam it with a hot towel, this will help hair absorb the oil. Leaving it on for 10 minutes should be enough. Be sure the towel isn’t too hot though, too much heat can harm the hair shaft.Twice a week of oiling should be good enough, but since shampoos these days contain harsh chemicals strip your hair of oils, (sometimes even essential oils), it’s best to apply a little amount to the scalp before heading into the shower. One study has shown that hair damage and breakage was significantly reduced by pre-shampoo oiling of hair compared to using shampoo alone.

If I dyed my hair without bleach, would it still get damaged?

It really depends. If you don't dye it too often then it won't get super damaged but dye will damage hair yes. Basically, all dyes have a certain amount of peroxide in which is what damages the hair. The lighter dye it is the more peroxide it will have in it, which is why they say bleaching it blonde is so bad for your hair because it's so light whereas going darker isn't as damaging. But like I said all dye is damaging because they all have at least a little bit of peroxide in. There's ways you can go around looking after it though afterwards. I probably dye mine once a month, once every two months maybe and look after it and condition it so it isn't in bad condition but it isn't much like it was before I started dying it. I have jet black and bleach blonde (nearly white) in my hair at the moment and the blonde bit is definitely more damaged and frizzy than the black is.

Is it bad to wet your hair without washing it?

Water if its clean and not overly chlorinated will do no harm to your hair.Standing under the shower with water running through your hair will take off dust and soluble salt secretions. It will not take out what got trapped by oily secretions from the sebaceous glands. It will also remove dead skin and dandruff to a limited extent. It is recommended to shampoo your hair occasionally. Excessive usage of chemical products can actually damage your hair and scalp. In conclusion: No harm in regularly standing under the showerand getting your hair wet. Don't forget to shampoo at least once a week.I don't think the likes of Proctor & Gamble and Unilever will like my advice. They'd rather you shampoo twice a day or it will affect their health (financial health that is ).
