First of all, if your phone is in warranty you need not worry and if not you must contact service center, but before that look for any problem with glass or make the camera settings to default and see if that helps.
Why did my Moto G camera flash stop working?
Here are the steps.This will remove any temporary files that may be causing the problem, but will not delete your files or settings.1. With the phone powered off, press and hold VOL DOWN KEY + POWER key (simultaneously) for 5 seconds and then release both buttons.2. The device will display different BOOT OPTIONS3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL to Recovery and VOL UP Key to selectTip: If the device reboots, you may have waited to long to make a selection, you will need to begin the process again.4. The device will display the Motorola logo and then the Android in distress ( logo with Exclamation mark)moto g please restart camera recovery Motorola.5. Press and hold the VOL UP key. While still holding the VOL UP key tap and release the POWER key. My Motorola Moto G phone fell down and the glass is broken, the screen is blank in the upper half but the touch works fine all over the screen. Do I need to replace the screen too along with the glass?
A phone has 3 layer display: outer glass screen, A touch transparent layer just below the glass and a LCD screen. LCD is responsible for the display like icons, etc. The glass is for protection and touch is for touch sensitivity. But the touch layer is an extremely thin layer and hence is stuck tightly to the outer glass screen in such a way that you or anyone can't remove it without extremely great care and efforts.Basically for normal users there are only 2 parts of screen: touchscreen with glass and LCD. If your glass is visibly cracked from the outside, then you have to replace that touchscreen even if touch is working as the glass and touch is joined inseparably with glue. If the display is not proper, you have to replace LCD. In your case you have to replace both the touchscreen and LCD as the glass is broken as well as the display is not proper.I suggest that you buy a replacement spare from ebay and repair it yourself watching some video on youtube. The service centre charges 4-5 times the cost of ebay. Also, all electronic products nowadays have removeable parts. you need not solder. All parts are connected with plug-socket connections. It is very easy to remove any part from modern phones. The only part that you may damage is the screen as it is quite thin and sensitive. But since you have already broken it, there is nothing to worry while opening your phone!

Yes… I faced the same issue sometime ago. After a long search found the fix.Fix : you need to disable the selfie photo mirror option from the front cam settings.Toggle the button against the mentioned option. Your selfie cam starts working fine.It's a bug. Report it in playstore or send mail to moto complaint mail id.Thank you.
