Windows 7 Factory Restore Help . Asap

How to factory restore Windows 7 without CD?

My computer was originally running Windows XP. Some time a while back a friend of mine who had purchased Windows 7 allowed me to use his CD to install it on my computer. It's been working fine until now. The computer is starting to have problems and I wanna restore it to factory settings. The friend who allowed me to use the CD has moved away so now I don't have access to use it for the restore.

I searched online and found a method that told me to go into
Control Panel -> System and security -> Backup and Restore -> Recover System settings for your computer -> Advanced Recovery methods and says from there it should give me an option to revert to factory settings. But I don't have that option (I'm guessing this is since my computer was originally XP...) So I'm wondering if there's a way to reinstall windows 7 without having the CD.

I don't wanna have to resort to torrenting Windows 7 so some help or a method if there is one would be awesome!
