Windows 7 Help - This Is Awful

Why is the Windows 10 theme so ugly?

Seriously, look at this: http://i.imgur.com/ZRaln3e.png

Oversized, misaligned title bar buttons, more-awful-than-ios-7 flat design icons, no window borders, what?

Why was Windows Vista so bad?

It wasn't. I used it & found it to be an improvement over previous version of Windows. I know some people had a bad experience. I think it was largely due to :-1. Lack of backward compatible device drivers. Especially early in its life.If your system wasn't not new & designed for Vista. You had problems with Printer drivers, Sound drivers, & sometimes even Network &/or Video drivers. Most vendors didn't write the new security forced drivers for products they'd stopped selling. So if you did find a driver that worked it was often a generic driver that did not take advantage of the performance & functionality of your device.  2. Change in UI. Some loved it, many were frustrated as they couldn't find stuff. 3. Occasional serious bugs. Usually related to security. Like many I encountered a bug which set the READ-ONLY flag on my entire disk volume. Once you know how to solve it, it is a 5 sec inconvenience maybe once a year. If you didn't, it became a life changing frustration that you eventually solved by re-installing Win XP & losing your life's work.4. Security. When Win XP Service Pack 2 was released. Many apps broke, those with very poor security techniques were prevented from doing the wrong thing & exposing their users to serious vulnerabilities. This caused pain as SP2 was blamed for breaking their life not for helping them identify & correct these issues. Vista continued that path, dramatically increasing the inbuilt security to protect from Malware & other attacks. Most apps with poor security broke. Again this effort annoyed people. (understandably)The real reason the majority of people didn't like it. Then like everything on the net, people with no personal experience or knowledge on the topic just started repeating what they'd heard from other people with no knowledge. A relatively small percentage of people  have a poor experience. But few negative reviews & few negative experiences opens the door to anyone wanting to be a hero by sensationalizing  a topic about which they knew nothing.

Why is my Windows 10 slow? I have a laptop with 16 GB RAM and core i7 2.4. I did everything written on the internet, but it is still slow and has a lot of bugs.

I have a laptop with nearly identical specs, specifically a Dell 5559. It was excruciatingly slow at times. When I opened Task Manager, the 1 TB hard disk was nearly always thrashing at 100% but the processor and memory were seldom running above 50% capacity - and usually much less. That’s a pretty good clue of where the bottleneck was. I replaced the spinning drive with a good Samsung SSD and now the little machine runs lightning fast.Task Manager is an excellent built-in tool for troubleshooting performance problems. Open it up in detail view and run some programs while watching activities under the Perfomance tab to see which component is the bottleneck. Also open the Process tab and see if there are any programs hogging resources.Since you have an i7 processor and 16 gigs, I would bet that your hard drive is the problem. If not, and you find some resource-hogging program processes under the Process tab, kill them and and see if that helps. Don’t kill any Microsoft processes that you are not sure of; they may be essential to the OS. But, if you do cause a crash, a restart will also start up the essential processes once again, fixing your error.

Should you turn off Windows 7 updates?

I can tell you the exact thing like if You do it correctly it will be helpful in total. So, I request you to check this source(click here) at least once.If you don't do refreshes, you turn out to be increasingly defenseless over the long haul. Would you be able to do this for some time and not get hurt? Beyond any doubt. However, sometime the laws of chance dependably make up for lost time... Indeed, you will in the end get hurt. Somehow.By and by, I would prescribe 10. Windows 10 released, is truly recently incredible, particularly on the off chance that you do a clean introduce. Far superior than 7 or 8. Be that as it may, you clearly have some issue with 10. What the issue is, I can't start to figure. Here is how to do this>>How to Turn off Automatic Updates in WindowsSo the following thing I'd say is attempt a Chromebook. On the off chance that you utilize Chrome now, (and are not a gamer) odds are you could be content with one. Next (if its all the same to you can bear the cost of it and gaining some new useful knowledge) possibly purchase an Apple. The gamer thing settles on Apple an awful decision as well however, and Apple does updates of it's own. And after that if its all the same to you learning - significantly more - Linux is free, and it will run incredible on your current equipment. Linux needs refreshes as well, however it's by and large up to you to do them.Official Site for Microsoft Windows 10 Home, S & Pro OS, laptops, PCs, tablets & more

Is there a version of Windows 10 that DOESN'T look like a tablet?

I love, love, love Windows 7, and I have put off upgrading because what I've used of Windows 10 looks absolutely gawd-awful. It's all blocky and crap. I want a working laptop that looks professional, not a bigass tablet. Even programs are changed to being called "apps" in Windows 10 and it cheapens it. I've seen where you can download things to resemble Windows 7, but that's almost besides the point.

I want a professional laptop that doesn't look like it's for kids. Is there anything available at all?
