Windows 8 restart loop causes?
Hello there, I have a dell XPS 15 that is running windows 8 pro. It is a great laptop. Today, when I got back from class, I turned it on and it started giving me different errors. The ones I remember are 0xc0021a, 0x0005a, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, and an issue with the NTFS file checker. It also would boot all the way to windows sometimes, but a few pieces of hardware (like my wifi card or my display adapter) wouldn't be running right. A few days ago, I upgraded to 16 gigs of RAM from 8 gigs. It had worked fine for the last few days since I installed it, but could this still be the issue? I put my original 4 gig sticks back in and it seems to be working fine. but why would it come up with errors now and not right after the install? Also, I know my laptops documents say it is 8 gigs max, but that was a BIOS limitation which was changed when the new bioses came out.
Windows 8 driver update?
HI guys i moved from windows 7 to windows 8 64 bit on my laptop now the thing is i have fallen in love with windows 8 but cant seem to be able to download my graphics card drivers and i cant play games they don't load properly i have tried getting the drivers from Toshiba but wasn'tt able to i also downloaded a software called smart driver updater it downloads the drivers for me butinstallationon fails and it says pending, my laptop make is the ToshibSatellitee C660 and the missing drivers are "Intel (R) ICH9M-E_M SATA AHCI Controller" somebody please HELPPP
How do I fix an audio device disabled issue if the audio device isn't disabled?
I turned on my computer (PC, Windows 7) yesterday and my sound just suddenly wasn't working. I've tried plugging in headphones, speakers, etc., and nothing. My little sound icon in the bottom right hand corner has the little "x"on it and when i click on it, it runs diagnostics on the issue and it tells me that my audio device is disabled. When I right-click, and go to playback devices, I see my default device with a little green check by it and when i check its status, it says the device is working properly. i've tried disabling and re-enabling the device, but when I click "disable" nothing happens. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and the like, and nothing is working. i've tried restarting my computer countless times. i called like 8 different people and no one seems to be able to help me. how do i fix this? note: i'm not all that tech savvy...i know what i'm doing up until this point. please keep potential solutions easy to follow. thanks!

Steam games not playing audio through HDMI?
Fallout 4 steam hdmi audio issues help!? Ok so im having trouble with my audio from my laptop to my tv via hdmi on fallout 4 through steam. Ill try to give as much info so you may be able to help me. Problem- when I plug my hdmi cable from my laptop into my tv and run fallout 4 via steam the audio will only come through on my laptop instead of my tv. With every steam game it has the same issue. What i know and have tried- The hdmi cable is working properly, on my laptop i can play music or watch video on my tv with the hdmi cord and sound and video works flawlessly. When I start a steam game, for example fallout 4, with the hdmi to tv the cinemas have the audio that plays through my tv as its intended HOWEVER when cinema scene is over it goes back to playing audio through pc speakers...... WHY? I mean if the hdmi cable was bad it wouldent play audio through the tv at all right? Also the video would most likely not work either. But the audio does work and even in fallout 4 but only in certain parts. Im sorry for the overload on info but i cant find another problem like mine so I have no idea the solution..dateMy rig Alienware 15 Gtx 860m Windows 10 All drivers up to date
