My HP laptop with Windows 8 is frozen. Every time I restart (I have to restart now forcibly by pressing down the power button) I get this screen and the keypad seems to be unresponsive. What should I do?

My computer recently began having major problems. Ive only had it for about 2 months. A friend of mine recommended I try completely restoring it, but my system wouldn't let me. After that he recommended I reinstall windows. After it finished installing I got a message saying "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows Installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." After restarting this same message comes again.
