I have the same problem, so I found two ways of connecting :-1. Go into the admin settings of your WiFi, do nothing just click save. WiFi will automatically be connected to your laptop.2. Use USB or Bluetooth tethering.

Windows is saying I need to troubleshoot, but it doesn't detect anything?

It says: "Status: Needs Troubleshooting" so I hit troubleshooting (both on the bar and in the drop down menu (right click)). And it comes up saying "Cannot find a problem" and asks me to either close the troubleshooter or to explore extra what not. So I tried the Explore, nothing. I'm really confused. BTW. My 'friend' sent me a .vbs file he got from the Internet and said he made it, and I thought I could trust him and it was a simple "Shutdown" command, but now my computer is more laggy then before, I've used all my anti-spyware and my sys is clean. Anyways, troubleshoot stuff help would be appreciated :D

Why is my Android mobile WiFi hotspot not showing up on other devices?

There might be 2 reasons :You've created a hidden WiFi network - No one will be able to see your WiFi Hotspot in their ‘available network’ list if you've created a hidden network. However, they can connect by manually adding your wifi details in Control Panel (for windows) or WiFi settings (for Android)You've created a Hotspot with 5 GHz band - This band is not supported by old devices. They can only detect 2.4 GHz band bcoz their adaptor supports only wireless a,b,g and n. You need to have a wireless adaptor which supports wireless ac to be able to detect 5GHz band. Most new devices have wireless ac, so they can detect 5GHz Wi-Fi network.5GHz band is used by some routers to avoid congestion in WiFi channels. 5GHz band is not provided by all routers. The low price range routers which most people use nowadays only support 2.4GHz band. Channel overlapping thus takes place to a high extent. This leads to problems like slow internet speed and reduced WiFi range due to congestion. So 5GHz band is used to avoid these problems caused by channel overlapping.

Hiren's Boot CD Not detecting my hard disk. How to solve?

Look for an entry in BIOS for SATA Operation or similar. It might be in the Hard Disks section of BIOS. You want to change the SATA setting from ACHI to either IDE/Legacy/Compatibility Mode or Off. That should allow XP to see the SATA drive. Change it back to ACHI when done.

Oh, and if that still doesn't work you can use Puppy Linux which will have the SATA drivers to access your HD. This is a very long guide but is mostly screenshots of every step. Basically just get Puppy burn to CD as you did Hiren's and your HD will be one of the "sda" icons at the bottom left (If you are booting from the original computer--if connecting the drive to another computer your HD might be sdb or sdc). Click on that and then copy your files to USB flash or where ever. http://www.winhelp.us/recover-files-usin...
