Windows Xp; How Do I Find Out How Much Disk C Space I Have Left

Disk space filling up for no reason?

There are many reasons why something like this can happen but the easiest way I know of to fix it is to use a program called sequoiaview This program allows you to see which areas of your hard drives are being occupied. Once you can see that, you can easily delete or move the files/folders that are taking up all the space. Secondly if you have system restore enabled on your computer and you've owned it for a while, make sure you delete all but the most recent restore point and decrease the size of the backups. Third, empty your temporary cache and your recycle bin and finally, uninstall every program that you don't use/want/need

If my laptop came pre-installed with Windows 8.1 and I want to dual-boot with XP, can I just shrink the 8.1 partition, make a new partition with the remaining disk space, and then install XP on the new partition?

There is a good chance you can't boot from the Windows XP CD. Work around that? Then…Windows 8.1 may be installed in EFI mode, which means the partition table is GPT. Windows XP is a Legacy-only system so, while it does recognize GPT and can mount data disks with it, it will not boot from it and it's possible it won't even install.

My Dell Laptop keeps on running out of Hard Disk Drive space?

My Dell Latitude D610(Windows XP), with only a 28GB Hard Drive, has less than 300MB of space left. I ran a disk defrag, but it only gave me about 1GB more of space, but that space was "eaten up" in about a week. The programs I have installed only add up to a few GB. What could be going on and what do I need to do to fix it?

Can I install Fedora on C drive, overwriting Windows XP and still have the data on my D drive?
