Wireless Network Keeps Dropping On Everything

Internet keeps dropping or lagging BADLY.?

To checklist the things that I've done, I:
- Replaced the modem, no effect on DC'ing issue
- Wireless network card replacement, still no effect on DC'ing issue
- Scanned my computer for corrupted Windows files, no corrupt files
- No Malaware
- Anti-Virus isn't interfering either
- Managed some power settings with the wi-fi modules too, internet still goes out on my machine

In spite of these thorough checks my internet is STILL suffering terrible lag or outright DC's for seconds at a time....I really need help, what could it be?

Changed router channel now wireless network disappeared!?

I think you have to change the channel on the computers also, or perhaps select an adapter option that scans all channels.

Since I don't have wireless adapter on this machine, I can't go into the connection settings (I expect the place is in the Configure button next to the network adapter name, probably on the Advanced tab) to help you further.

Hope that helps.

My trendnet router keeps dropping my wifi connection?

Here are my suggestions:
1. Check 652BRP wireless settings and make sure "SSID (wireless network name) broadcast" is enabled.

2. Set 652BRP's wireless encryption type to "WPA2-PSK", this is currently the encryption with highest security measure for home users without RADIUS server.

3. Change wireless channel to 1, 6 or 11. You may want to download a free software called "inSSIDer", run it and see neighboring wireless routers' channel and signal strength and avoid using channel that your neighbors are using.

If above do not help then find out your 652BRP's hardware and firmware verison, check trendnet.com support/download page and see if you have the latest firmware. If not, download the firmware, unzip it and then upgrade it. After the firmware upgrade, you may want to reset the 652BRP to factory default and reconfigure it.

Trendnet has a free technical support hotline. call them up, if necessary.

Kindle Fire keeps dropping wifi connection and now won't even connect, any solutions?

My grandma has a kindle fire and it keeps dropping wifi connection. I'll retype in the password and it'll work for a few hours to a couple of days and then drop again. Tonight the Kindle Fire dropped connection and I made several attempts to type in the security code, but the message unable to connect came up. I do not have this problem with my other wireless devices(laptop, iphone, ipod, wii all work fine with the wireless). I notice the Kindle Fire started doing when we got a new router, it did not do this with out old one. Could that be a possible reason? Has this ever happened to you and what did you do to work? Thanks it's getting annoying typing in the security code over and over again.

My laptop keeps dropping wifi connection?

The only way to connect back to the internet is to turn my dsl modem/router off then back on and then i have to restart my laptop. Only when i restart my laptop, the internet connection is found again. this is very annoying and i want to know if there is any solutions out there. I usually keep the laptop plugged in to it's charger so i dont think it is trying to conserve battery life.

A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken error?

Your computer has two network interface devices you can see them in device manager under "network adapters" and in your network settings.

1.) Ethernet Adapter - Used for cabled connections.
2.) Wireless Adapter - Used for WiFi connections.

The message "network cable is unplugged" is for your Ethernet adapter and is normal since you don't have a Ethernet cable plugged into the adapter.

Your other network adapter is your wireless one. This is the one you need to be concerned with.

My best guess would be that you are using a weak wireless connection and it is intermittently dropping out. Wireless signals are affected by many factors including wall density, electrical interference, directional antenna range, etc. By nature, interference in wireless systems causes problems with smooth, consistent speeds.

The best solution would be to use a direct Ethernet connection from your computer to your router.

If it is not feasible to run cables you have other options such as powerline network adapters You plug one in by the router and one in the room where you need access and connect them to the devices with standard Ethernet patch cables. http://isp1.us/reviews/netgear-xavb2101-powerline-adapter/

The network signals are transmitted over your existing electrical wiring which will not be affected by wireless interference.

If you need the wireless mobility but have a poor signal, devices such as wireless extenders can expand your wireless range. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YAYM06/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=excharge-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B004YAYM06

The wireless range extender receives weak wireless signals and repeats them to extend the signal range to greater distances. Some models include 4 Ethernet ports in addition to the wireless radio.

Good Luck...

Dropped laptop now wifi won't work?

well there are a couple things that could be wrong. first try uninstalling and re installing the wireless driver. that probably wont work, but it never hurts to try. which if it doesn't then one of two things happened. either the wireless chip is loose or the chip is somehow damaged/broken.if you want to fix it, you may be able to get it done for very cheap or free if you attend a college. just go to the IT department. otherwise it may be pretty expensive to repair/fix. a cheaper option might be to buy a used USB wireless card.contact me if you need more help. jdbj32m@yahoo.com

My MacBook Pro keeps disconnecting from my home WiFi. What could be the issue?

One quick-fix that could work: Change the service order of your networks.Apple puts Bluetooth at the top by default, that could interfere with your Wifi connection. Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> NetworkPress the settings button below on the left side:Choose Set Service Order.. , and drag Bluetooth DUN to the bottom:Press OK and then Apply. If that doesn't help, you could also delete the Wifi connection with the Minus button, and add it again with the Plus button.Next options: Restoring the factory settings on your router, chance the channel on which it broadcasts, or replacing it all-together.
