Witch Book In The Bible Talks About Marrige

Is interracial marriage against the bible?

is interracial marriage against the bible?
No.

The Bible is against marriage with people of other religions. A christian must marry a christian. Race or skin colour were never the issue.
* Moses married an african woman. Mirriam (Moses' sister) criticized Moses due to this. God punished Mirriam, not Moses.
* God forbade the people of Israel to marry people of other nations that lived around them, because those wives from other countries would influence them into their pagan religions and would took their hearths away from God. Again race/skin colour was never the issue.

Christianity and sex before marriage?

First, no one here is going to be able to tell you what the implications of your actions are on your faith. Those are just answers that we don't know.

I can tell you that even though the Christian church does say that you should not have sex before marriage, I feel like "sex" is generally defined as penis-to-vagina intercourse. Generally speaking, however, I would say that you two did have sex.

What I do want you to know is that you shouldn't get yourself too worked up over this. You are not going to get struck by lightening tomorrow and you are going to continue on just fine. I believe that the whole rationale behind the Christian rule of sex within marriage is simply to make sure that the person who you have sex with is the one who you see a future with and whom you genuinely care about. It also gives you the security of having someone to raise a child with if something were to go wrong (or right, depending on what your goals are).

That being said, I do want to add, that you should never do sexual favors/acts that you don't want to. Even if you promised, if you are not comfortable doing something, you by no means have to do it. If you are ever in the situation where someone wants you to do something of a sexual nature and it is against your will (this includes verbal aggressiveness or persuasion), it IS considered rape / sexual abuse. And can be reported if you so choose.

I just thought I would add that in here, because most people who do experience a form of rape or sexual abuse do not tend to define it in such terms because they feel like it was partially their fault or that what happened did not meet the general definition that we see through books, movies, and the greater mass media.

I guess what I want to to say to your question, is that you can have some peace with yourself about this. Do not start to think that you are a terrible person or that you should be condemned to hell -- just take your experiences and learn from them. That's all you can really do now.

What does an owl symbolize in the Bible?

The owl, as described in the Bible, symbolizes an “unclean” and “abominable” creature that is compared to creatures such as “dragons,” (giant squids, crocodiles, etc…) bats, and ravens. These creatures were animals that the Israelites were commanded by Moses not to consume as food (Leviticus 11:13–19). Furthermore, in the book of Isaiah, chapter 34 verse 13, we see where the Kingdom of Edom’s eventual vassalship to Nebuchadnezzar, King of the Babylonians, would see days that would be comparable to a land filled with dragons, owls, unicorns (aurochs,) vultures, and cormorants. All of these creatures while beautiful in their own rights, represent desolation and disobedience in the narrative of the Bible. It should be noted that Edom was a habitual enemy of the Israelites, and even assisted the Babylonians in the siege of Jerusalem in 587 B.C. Another interesting fact about Edom is that the Egyptian hieroglyph for Edom contains an owl.(The Edomites dwelt in the land of Egypt in the 1400’s B.C.).

Christians: Does the Bible ever say specifically that homosexuals cannot get married?

"follows jesus" says ONLY a man and a woman can be married...then quotes a bible verse that doesn't say "only." Gee, I thought you weren't supposed to insert your own words into the bible?

As for the leviticus "abomination" -- it's buried right there among other abominations such as eating shellfish, wearing clothing of mixed fabrics, etc. How come you guys pick the "man lying with man" one as still an abomination, but have no problem eating shrimp or wearing cotton-polyester t-shirts?

Why can't you bigots get it into your head that rational people don't care what your religion says (even when you quote it wrong or make things up or selectively pick and choose): this is a LEGAL issue, not a religious one. You don't want to marry gays in your church? Fine. Do whatever you want to. But don't project your superstitious bigotry on everyone else via the law.

Peace.

If this is a Christian nation, and gays cannot marry because it is an abomination to God?

From the same book as that piece of info (does it make you wonder about some arguments you have heard?):

Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people. (Exodus 22:28) --boy, those folks calling Obama names are in trouble

Any one who curses his father or mother must be put to death (Exodus 21:17)--all American teenagers must die

Do not allow a sorceress to live. (Exodus 22:18)--Why did we stop burning witches?

A thief must certainly make restitution, but if he has nothing, he must be sold to pay for his theft. (Exodus 22:3)--Cool, does this mean we can sell Bernie Maddoff into slavery?

If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property. (Ex 21:20-21)--cool, if I buy Bernie Madoff, can I beat him as long as he recovers in two days?

If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest. (Ex 22:25)

--Crap! I guess capitalism as we know it is out.

Why have the translation errors regarding witchcraft and homosexuality in the Bible never been corrected?

There was no translation error there, it was just written by backward savages from the Bronze Age who believed homosexuals should be murdered and that witches must be put to death. Also that there were literal witches. That part seems important.Theists have no interest in fixing errors, in fact, they cover them up. In Leviticus 14, the original Hebrew word was “ צָרַע “ which means, literally, “to be leprous”, as in the disease known as leprosy. At some point between the King James Version and the New International Version, Christians figured out that killing a bird and dipping another bird in its blood does not cure leprosy. Did they add a footnote saying that science had disproven that? No, they changed “leprosy” to “skin condition”. And they left the part saying that a whole house must be destroyed if a single stone has mildew on it, because mildew and leprosy are the same thing, and not destroying your home will cause you to contract the disease.
