With What Should I Wash Conditioner Off My Hair

How do you wash out hair conditioner?

i have long hair, whenever i wash it and use hair conditioner i can never wash it out completely. so my hair ends up being greasy! how do you make sure to wash it out?

What happens if you don't wash all the conditioner out of your hair?

Don't listen to the people who say it makes your hair greasy. It doesn't do that to everyone. They are just saying that from experience with their own hair type. Since they don't educate themselves they know nothing except of personal experience. It all depends on a persons hair type. Mine is very thin so I can't even use the stuff. Now on the other hand my friend has thick hair and she leaves a bit of it in so her hair doesn't fly all over the place. By doing so her hair looks soft, shiny and very healthy.

Can I wash my hair with conditioner only to slow down damage happens by shampoo?

That’s a great question. Shampoos and conditioners are more the same than they are different. Both are oil in water emulsions. Shampoos and conditioners are a mixture of oil and water dispersed by a surfactant.Shampoo contains excess surfactant that emulsifies the dirt and oil on your hair and scalp so that it can be carried down the drain in the rinse water. conditioners contain just enough surfactant to emulsify the oil in the conditioner. Some people use conditioner instead of shampoo. That can work if your hair isn’t very oily or dirty and the conditioner contains enough excess surfactant.Having said that, a gentle shampoo will not damage your hair. The trick is to find the right one. Ignore the advertising claims in big print on the front of the bottle and learn to read the ingredients in small print on the back of the bottle.Anionic surfactants are the main active ingredients in all shampoos. Co-surfactants improve mildness, reduce irritation, increase foam, and condition the hair. A properly formulated shampoo is a sophisticated blend of several surfactants designed to gently remove dirt and oil, without irritation, dryness or damage.Lauryl sulfates (sodium lauryl sulfate) have been the primary surfactants in many shampoos for years. They are inexpensive and are very good cleansers, but they can damage the hair and irritate the scalp. Even though all sulfates aren’t irritating, sodium lauryl sulfate has given all sulfates a bad name and created the demand for sulfate free shampoo.Although sodium lauryl sulfate should be avoided, lauryl ether sulfates (sodium laureth sulfate) are ethoxylated to produce a surfactant that is milder and less irritating. Gentle enough to be included in baby shampoo.Shampoos contain hundreds of different surfactants. I’ve listed the major families of mild surfactants with one specific example of each. There are hundreds of variations, but all are mild surfactants. Look for a shampoo that contains at least two or more of the surfactants below.BETAINES Cocamidopropyl BetaineISETHIONATES Sodium Cocoyl IsethionateSARCOSINATES Sodium Cocoyl SarcosinateLAURETH SULFATES Sodium Laureth SulfateSULFONATES Sodium Alpha Olefin SulfonateSULFOSUCCINATES Disodium Laureth SulfosuccinateTAURATES Sodium Methyl Cocoyl TaurateAMPHOACETATES Sodium Lauryl SulfoacetateClick below for a link to my book, Milady’s Hair Care and Product Ingredient Dictionaryhttps://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_...
