Woman Has A Cop Ever Made You Put Your Hands Up

Why do you cops put the handcuffs on so tight?

Even if they are applied correctly, when you sit down you are putting weight against them, so they will dig in and leave marks.

Keep in mind the purpose of handcuffs are for restraint, not for your comfort. By the time I made them comfortable, you would be able to slip out of them.

Officers are aware of this, and most use a transport belt and cuff up front for long trips.

Joke>Cop with a radar gun and a flying woman..?

While she was 'flying' down the road yesterday, a woman passed over a bridge only to find a cop with a radar gun on the other side lying in wait.

The cop pulled her over, walked up to the car, with that classic patronizing smirk we all know and love, asked, 'What's your hurry?'

To which she replied, 'I'm late for work.'

'Oh yeah,' said the cop, 'what do you do?'

I'm a rectum stretcher,' she responded.

The cop stammered, 'A what? A rectum stretcher? And just what does a rectum stretcher do?'

'Well,' she said, 'I start by inserting one finger, then work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in. I work from side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch it, until it's about 6 feet.'

'And just what the hell do you do with a 6 foot a**hole?' he asked
'You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge.'

Traffic Ticket $95.00

Court Costs $45.00

Look on the Cop's Face - PRICELESS!

Have you ever ripped a ticket in front of a cop?

I had one kinda-sorta try that in person, and watched another one on video at a vendor’s booth. On a Saturday night, I stopped two young men who were desperately trying to be players. I made the stop for a moving violation I don’t remember now, and they pulled into the lot of a popular nightclub and into a space. I don’t think they knew I was behind them, because when the passenger got out, he had an open beer in his hand. They were in an El Camino-type vehicle, kind of a pickup truck on a sedan chassis. They immediately put on the “We are WAY too cool to be bothered by this cop” routine and started to walk away, but I told them that they wouldn’t both get away from me, I could call all the help I needed, and the nicest thing that would happen was that the ElCam would wind up on a hook. Passenger tried to set the beer on the pavement and pretend it has been there when they parked. The pavement was damp. I pointed out that I had seen him get out with the beer, and that the tire track ran right over where the bottle stood.I wrote them both tickets while they delivered a steady stream of insults and put downs. As a final act of defiance, they feigned throwing their copies of the tickets away, but threw them into the bed of the El Camino.Had they been reasonably polite when I contacted them, I might not have cited them at all. I was looking for drunk drivers, and writing them those tickets meant that some good prospects were going by.The other episode was on a video being shown by a vendor of printers designed to be mounted inside patrol cars to print traffic tickets (e-citations). They used a plastic-based paper that had the look and feel of common printer paper, but was waterproof and very durable. A dash cam video showed an officer issuing a citation to an extremely irate violator. When the officer handed her the ticket, she immediately tried to tear it up. However, this paper was so durable that she was unable to tear it. Not being able to rip up the ticket made her even even angrier. He drove off with her standing on the shoulder of the road, almost jumping up and down with rage. It was pretty funny to watch.I should point out that the officer was very polite and professional. The woman who got the ticket was just determined to take it out on somebody, and the cop happened to be convenient.

How is it that a police officer is allowed to pull a womans hair ?

An officer pulling a woman's hair is not Domestic Violence. "Domestic Violence" only occurs between two people in specific relationships as defined by law. An officer has the legal authority to apply physical force to take someone under control. Your husband or boyfriend does not.

There is nothing illegal or inapporpriate about grabbing a man OR woman's hair in order to get control of that person if he or she is resisting. Pulling hair does not cause injury.

Officers deal with violent men AND women every day. There have been plenty of examples of officers being killed by women because they were not perceived of as a threat. When I put on my uniform, everyone gets the SAME consideration. I'm sure your son will learn that for himself.

What is the legality of the bare-hand-over-mouth technique in sensitive police apprehensions?

I personally would never have allowed my partner to enter the house alone.

Assuming that no other backup was available, both of you should have taken the first prisoner to the vehicle, secured him in there, and then returned to the house for the second offender.

You shouldn't have been in the position of having to silence a prisoner to protect a lone officer entering a house looking for an armed suspect in the first place. It was a mistake on your part and your partner's that led to you being in that position.

I would be far more worried about getting "ripped a new one" for that rather than touching a suspect without a glove on.

Do you feel that female cops are just as capable as their male counterparts?

I've known a lot of female cops and like their male counterparts they break down into 3 types.

1. Competent, skilled and can do the job as well as anyone.
2. Mediocre, very small percentage.
3. Got the badge and will do anything to stay out of the field. Unfortunately it's this type that tend to hurt the reputation of female officers. Sadly, many of these use their gender as a means to stay out of the field.

I'm a big supporter of women in law enforcement. They have a take on things that we men will miss, just as we have a take that they might miss. Different experiences allow for different views and interpretations and the more you have, the less you will miss and the more complete a picture you get.

We all run into criminals that are beyond our individual abilities to arrest alone. Any cop that thinks he or she is a "one man" force is a cop in line to get hurt and to be candid, I really don't know of any like this. Backup is a major staple in our field, that's why we so stringently come to the aid of one another in our career and often our lives. In the departments I've worked for when a cop is sick, hurt, has a baby, whatever happens, we rally together to help and support. This applies to physical abilities in the field too. That's one of the things I love about the job.

Having said this though, there are those men and women that are too small for this career. I have seen both that couldn't reach the gas & brake pedals in a cruiser without blocks and couldn't even handle the weapons. This isn't a gender consideration as much as basic physics.
