Women Opinions Of Beards

What's your opinion on a beard?

Looks great on some, and downright awful on others. But then, you also have to factor in who's looking, what their tastes are, etc... plus if you have a girlfriend you might want to get her opinion, and then on top of all that, you have to factor in your own personal preference. Sounds like a lot of hassle to me.
**Personally, I don't really mind the way they look on say... Captain Sparrow in POTC, and I liked my boyfriend's goatee when he had one. But I hate the way it feels. It really bothers my skin.

Women's opinion on a beard?

Some women like a guy with a beard. Makes him seem more "rugged" or perhaps they just like the look, or the feel.

Other gals hate how it looks. Or they don't like the way it feels when you kiss.

You win some, you lose some.

If a beard is part of who you are, then keep it. As long as you take care of it, and keep it clean, no worries. A woman that was worth keeping wouldn't ask you shave it off (unless you didn't have one to begin with) because she would love you for who you are, not who you could change yourself to be. Would you ask her to cut her hair a certain length?

Now, if you're just looking scraggly all the time, sometimes clean-shaven, sometimes with long stubble, then yes, that might be a turn-off. No consistency :)

WOMEN: What's your opinion on beards?

personally, i really dislike beards.

theyre prickly and scratchy and it hurts when i try to kiss people.

i much prefer clean shaven

Ten adjectives:ScragglyMasculineRebelliousNaturalFamiliarComfortingPaternalMatureFullAdventurousI am a converted beard lover. I used to hate facial hair on guys and always preferred clean-shaven faces. As I got older and the guys I liked got older as well, I started to see facial hair as the epitome of masculinity. Nobody close to me had a beard until my boyfriend insisted he partake in No-Shave November last year. I rolled my eyes and braced myself—and discovered that he actually looks good with facial hair. Like, really, really good.My boyfriend has stunning light blue eyes. Over the years I've known him and the years we've been dating, I've witnessed tons of women approach him just to tell him how gorgeous his eyes are. One girl from high school who was always obsessed with my bf even wrote him a love letter when we graduated from high school in 2015 calling him “the boy with the beautiful blue eyes”! That was always his most remarkable feature, and the beard compliments it perfectly. It gives his face fullness and structure and draws all the attention to his eyes. It is such a good look and accentuates him so nicely. Beards look killer on men with great eyes! They really help complete a face.My bf keeps his beard impeccably groomed, which is majorly important. I still cringe at patchy, gross, overgrown, ratty beards when I see them (not every guy can grow a beard). My boyfriend’s is full and luscious. He keeps it neatly trimmed and uses beard oils and conditioners on it. Shaving is abrasive and used to really irritate his skin, and now that he has facial hair, he only has to shave once in a while to clean up the sides. Without constantly raking a razor against the delicate skin of his face, his skin looks smooth and beautiful.I associate beards with my boyfriend. I used to think they were honestly kinda creepy and unkempt. Now, I think of them as being warm and manly. They're sexy, and I embrace them. I love a good beard when I see one!My guy’s success with facial hair has even charmed some of my female friends into seeing the light and becoming born-again beard fans. Especially with the man-bun thing still going around, beards are totally “in” right now and I feel blessed to witness the results of the trend. It is a lovely world that we live in. Yes to beards.Edited to add that I love the guy in the pic’s beard. He looks healthy and rejuvenated with the full beard and that great hair.

I am so jealous of them.Look at me, I'm Asian. We're not known for thick, manly beards. Some of us can grow them, but only a select few can grow a full beard. When I try to grow them, I start to look like a baby molerat. It doesn't look good at all.I get laughed at by friends when I tell them I want beard reconstruction surgery. It's an actual surgery yes, they take follicles from the back of your head and transfer them over to your facial hair area as designated by your consultant, who can recommend you a good placement according to your face shape and other stuff.I asked around if they would think I look cool with a beard. Not even a full beard, but a 5 o'clock shadow, a scruff, any length to look tough. They all say it would look weird on me. Then I get sad.I get sad that I can't even try to achieve that appearance. Maybe it does, but I can always shave it off and revert back to my clean face self. Maybe it's a brand new look, and I'll look super exotic and ultra handsome, but one can only dream.Thick bearded men have that option. I don't. I'll always look younger and baby-faced…N.T.C.

What are girls opinions of guys with beards?

Depends, the beard needs to be well trimmed. The guy has to have a face that complements the beard. If your face is rounded, beards often go well. If your face is long and gaunt, don't go for it. I personally prefer clean shaven or slight grizzle, but that is it.

They do have beards. They just shave them.Chinese culture is not very pro-beard. They consider it uncivilized and dirty. It’s also associated with the oft maligned Muslim Uyghur minority in Xinjang. The Chinese government has gone so far as to offer reward to Chinese citizens who will tattle on anyone growing a beard “in order to prevent and combat crimes and maintain social stability.” Probably as a way to track and suppress the Uyghurs. Here is a random stock photo of a Chinese guy with a beard labelled as being from Xian province.

I hate it! I hate men (of my age) with beards! But I am not biased. I believe beards do look good, case in point, the extremely handsome man below, but only after a certain age! (Cue to pictue how handsome Robert Downey Jr looks) I kept pestering my friends who had started following this ridiculous trend to shave! Needless to say, they never listened to me. :(Until one day, a friend of mine (who was hell bent on not shaving for the entire month) admitted to getting scared of his own reflection in the bathroom mirror in the middle of the night! And that was when he decided to not follow this trend anymore! Could I be any happier? So in a nutshell : NO! Personally I am not a big fan of this No-Shave November thing! If beauty is skin deep, we should at least let it (the skin) be visible! Why hide it behind a mass of dense facial hair? :PThanks for the A2A! I hope I didn't sound TOO biased while answering this! :D

Just looking for an honest opinion about beards.?

Well first of all you can't expect to find an "answer" for something like that by googling it. It's all a matter of opinion. Personally, I don't like a full face beard. I do like some facial hair on men, but it all really depends on the mans facial characteristics. For example, my boyfriend has a goatee and I love it! I absolutely hate when he shaves it off. I also like the five o'clock shadow look on some men. Usually, darker skinned men. It looks sexy. For someone like yourself with very light skin and hair I would prefer a fully shaven face. The beard looks kind of messy. In the picture where you have shaved you look like you lost alot of weight because your face looks much more slim. I think the fuller look that the beard gives you looks better. My conclusion is to lose the beard and keep shaving but maybe try and gain some weight so your face will fill out b/c it is very thin.

Actually, there’s research on this very topic. A group of researchers had 8520 women sit down and rate the attractiveness of men with a clean shave, stubble, and a full beard. Here’s what they liked. The study found that the more masculinized the face was, the more attractive the women found the man.More masculine features like a more pronounced brow ridge were thought to signal the health of the male. The jawline of the male was important as well. One group of researchers sent out a survey to 770 women and asked them to rate various jawlines (from celebrities and average joes) on various scales.Dozens of jawlines were used in the study. Everybody from Jack Black and *big eyed celebrity guy*, to Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. The women overwhelmingly liked similar jaw shapes. The researchers then used 3d imaging technology and mocked up the ideal jawline based on what the women liked.Just look at that handsome bastard."Yeah, but I don’t have a jaw like that. How does that help me?"First of all, you probably don’t know if you have a jawline like that. Most guys have to have a certain level of leanness (it varies from guy to guy) to “reveal” their jawline.Often times, the face is one of the places that fat is most stubborn, and you need to get relatively lean to lose that fat. Here’s an example. So, the first thing to try is getting to a low enough body fat percentage to “reveal” your jawline. This may be 10% body fat, or maybe 8%. Whichever it is, experiment, and see what happens."I stay lean and I still don’t have a masculine looking jawline."This is where the power of illusion comes into play. When you grow out a beard, you can shape your facial hair to resemble the ideal jaw. Frankly, it won’t matter what the hell your actual chin looks like.Facial hair being attractive is also supported by research. One group of researchers found that men with full beards were seen as more mature and better for relationships than men without.See how this guy's beard shape makes his jaw line look more like the ideal jawline? Also, just having some stubble can give this illusion too.Everything in block quote taken from → Do Women Like Muscles.
