What is the role of longlife assistant at woolworths?

Woolworths/Safeway supermarkets group assessment?

I'm going for a group assessment (non-personal, first round interview) at Woolworths/Safeway.

Here's the breakdown of how it will go. They sent me this in an email:
---
As part of the group assessment process, we also have observers. Their role is to watch and record behaviors of 4-5 candidates each, to ensure that everyone is observed fairly. In addition, candidates can be observed by more than one person during the assessment, which makes the process more objective and eliminated value judgements.

The entire process will take approximately 1 hour. During this time, you will cover
Company Overview
Two activities - one of which you will be working in pairs, the other you will be working in small groups.
The final part of the process is a numeracy/literacy test which is completed individually.
---

What are some examples of the things they will expect me to do? The maths and literacy test will go fine, but I absolutely suck at communicating with other people (but don't tell me I shouldn't be trying to work in retail in the first place, lol).

Help?

Woolworths recruitment process?

What are the recruitment process for Woolworths?

How should I wish a group of people in an interview?

I am assuming that by ‘wish’ you mean ‘greet’ the panelists.Once you enter the interview room, the first thing you should do is greet the panelists. How you greet depends on the panelists in front of you.For example if majority of the panelists are males and only 1 of them is a female, then you can greet the male panelists together by saying “Good Morning/Afternoon Sirs” and then separately greet the female panelist “Good Morning/Afternoon Ma’am”. This applies other way round too that is if there are majority female panelists and only 1 of them is male. You can also shake hands with the panelists and greet them at that time. However, the most important thing is to have an eye contact with the panelists, be loud and clear while greeting them and smile as this is the first impression that you will create in front of them. All the best!

What is nightfill, at woolworths?

Woolworths no longer exist, it closed down months ago, But yes nightfill is stacking shelves after the store has closed, it means that staff don't get in the way of customers during the day and staff can work easier without having to dodge people. It's a night time job.

Waiting time for a Woolworths job application?

If you're serious about getting a job, its up to you to get back to them. Call and ask for the hiring manager, tell them your name and that you filled an application, and you're wondering if there was any openings. This may seem like pestering or something, but the people who do this always get jobs over the people who wait around for a phone call.

How do you crack an interview even if you don't know anything?

It's okay if you don't know much of the stuff on which the interviewer is going to ask the question(not always) , just try to manipulate him to ask the questions you preferred him to be asked to you.I'll just describe one of my incident here:Interviewing for my company it was preferable to know Java language of which I know nothing about. The interviewer asked me the first question on it followed by another simpler one but I couldn't answer a single question. So I decided to trick him(kind of a gamble) and said "Sir I don't know Java". The Interviewer looked at me with wide eyes(as if my interview is over) and made my fortune by asking a question "Then why should we hire you? What quality you have so that i can consider you for this job". and there it was the question i was looking for as my path to get into that company. I smiled and started to explain him about the open source concepts i know with full confidence(I even explained him how the SVN repository works as the guy was not familiar with it).As i ended my answer after around 20-25 mins i simply added "Sir as  you can see A guy who knows all this can learn a single language to get into your flourishing company ".  DONE..that was it...I got selected :)After all what they want to know if you are capable enough to seek the knowledge.

If in an interview you are asked why did you choose electronics and communication? What should be the answer?

Note: This whole question is to test how much do you know yourself or how much do you ponder while taking any of your personal or professional decisions, and on basis of your answers they level your decision making skills that would be required in their company at any given time. You know pretty much about what you have studied and you are keen about this field is a credit to answer such questions.Clearly, you have an upper hand to answer this question by replying like key points:Since the beginning of time, technology has been constantly changing and evolving and this change has drawn my interest since ky childhood.Technology has made humans smart, effective and efficient but when I see this all engineering fields, the one which has contributed more or made this happen is Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. From gramophone to earphones, from cds to memory cards, from analogue circuits to PCBs ( digital circuit) everything which has been reflected and implemented by this field has led to compactness, efficiency and effectiveness and in low cost, low resources and more productivity. This drastic implementation of electronics and telecommunication in real life with enhanced devices have changed human life and made it better. From dial up connections to wifi,4g and broadband, telecommunication has been easy and made to rest on people's finger tip where they can call, message, even view anyone from video call.Mobile hand sets are better now, you can work, do business and play too with your 5″ toy.Hence, there is more to come in this field and technology and this is what excites me.Do to better than we are right now, implementing technology and making people's life better can be clearly seen as the virtue of this field.Hence, I have chosen this field because if a technology can transform in a way that from a diode to devices which can imitate your voice, I wonder what could be its great future. Thanks!

Does Kmart give a math test to people interviewing for a cashier position?

No. No one does this. Everything is done through the register.

Really? I worked for Walgreens. They didn't do that to me. hmm that's weird. Its probably just for the interview, because on the job you will use the register. I guess it depends on the job and on the manager of that place.
