I just graduated. I have no experience. I'm going to work tomorrow. What should I do? What advice can you give me?

Don't go anywhere without a notebook and pen, especially meetings. Take notes that will be necessary to perform your tasks. Write down exactly what you need to do and make a "Star" next to those items so you can easily find them.If you are working a desk job, go back to your desk and organize your notes in a word document and save them in a folder. Write them like a set of instructions, in such a way that another person who has no idea what you're talking about would understand what the task is and how to do the task. This is so if you need to do the task again in three weeks, and you don't remember anything about it, you don't have to ask your superior how to do it again. You're independent, autonomous, productive, and not bothering anyone.Make yourself a to-do list with your specific tasks in mind. This way, when your superior asks you what you're up to or what you've done, you can tell them exactly what you are working on and what you've achieved. It also documents everything in case you need to defend yourself in an inquiry, and your manager is an asshole.Do not participate in office gossip. Do not talk about other people in the office. Maintain professional courtesy and be polite, but do not make any friends with anyone in your office, at least not for several months. Remember that your boss may one day need to fire you and your co-workers may one day be competing with you for a promotion. They will back-stab you if it comes to it, though they likely prefer not to. Document everything. Make lots of scans and copies. Always be prepared to defend yourself, do not trust anyone to prioritize you over themselves, but always be polite and congenial.Be damn good at your job and make more money for the company than you cost. Set boundaries and prioritize your own interests. You can be sure everyone else is. After you've been reliable and productive for the company, ask for a raise in your review. Always be prepared to leave the company if they are treating you poorly. Be aware of other job opportunities. Never indicate you are aware of job opportunities or mention you are looking if you are - not to co-workers or "friends at work" or anyone. Most people will not follow your "no gossip" rule and they will betray you.

I'm going to work experience in a preschool tomorrow and I'm panicking because I don't really know what I am meant to expect?

Take a briefcse or backpack and put in these things inside it:Wetwipes, headache tablets, tissues, a pencil case with felt tip pens, biros, eraser, pencil, pencil sharpener, a ruler, stapler, scissors, a notepad for yourself (not every school is well equipped), paperclips, and a notepad so you can record what you need to know/do/remember to do. Take a hairband to put your hair back if you need to, and maybe a change of shoes if they let you wear flatties. Tired feet are never a good thing. If you have a koosbball or two or something soft to throw around for a ballgame, that would be good and take any storybooks along or print something off. Something simple with a moral to it would be a good idea, so the children can draw it out, or talk about it.If you have any CDs with calming music to play so they can lie on the floor and relax, and do some deep breathing, or imagine something, this too will be a good idea.Be relaxed. Whatever you feel will transmit itself to the kids, so be how you want them to be. Focus on letting any negative thoughts drift away on balloons. Keep doing this until you feel yourself calming down. Teach this to the kids too. In fact I would strongly suggest you focus heavily on teaching the kids to manage stressful states during learning, so anything you do for YOU, you can teach to them and they will then be very different kinds of learners. In terms of what to expect - write down your questions and ask for a short meeting before you go into the classroom. Also, make sure you get there early. I am normally in any workshop environment about an hour beforehand or 30mins if I have prepped to death. You can take a handbag and lunchbox too, but that will be up to you. There will probably be a staff room, so make good use of it as your rest room and you will be fine.Above all, remember this advice which my mum gave me: if you are knackered after just your first hour, you are doing something wrong - you will still have to get through the rest of the day, so make the little buggers work twice as hard as you do!

Can I hide my work experience and try to get a new job?

Honesty is the best policy!Don’t hide your work experience but upskill yourself for the new job that you’re aspiring for and prove that you are competitive in the domain! Also, we never know when you’re past experience will be helpful.. The world is so dynamic.. what’s relevant today may be obsolete tomorrow and what’s obsolete today may gain importance tomorrow!

Job Interview at Kmart Tomorrow.....what to expect?

alrighty.....ive been there for 2 years now....usually what they ask is they will give you some basic situations and ask how you'd handle them, they ask the hours that would be most convienient for you to work......some of my questions were am i a good team worker.......to give an example of my leadership ability.....and other basic questions. you might want to consult your friend tho to see what they asked him, because each HR person may have a different way of doing things......as a minor, you being 16, you cant work in sporting goods, because it deals w/ firearms and other age related materials (paintball guns/air pistols) and you cant use the compactor........trust me your not missing out on either.......but all you really have to to is show them that you really WANT to work and that should do it for you. best of luck w/ your interview, hope it works out well for you

Is work experience necessary for Australian PR?

Whether work experience is required or not for Australian PR, it all depends upon your nominated occupation for Australian PR. To make an application for Australian PR application, you must have Positive Skill Assessment in hand. There are skill assessment authorities which do not ask for work experience. For example Engineers Australia. If you an Engineer, pass out say today (18th Nov. 2017), you can apply for skill assessment tomorrow (19th Nov. 2017). You may get positive skill assessment. In my career as a MARA Agent, I have successfully done such cases. On the other hand say, an applicant having B.Tech (IT) from India. He/she needs minimum two years experience in IT to make an application for ACS skill assessment.Mate, I have no idea about your occupation and therefore cannot confirm, whether you need the work experience or not.To get the best immigration assistance for Australia, Canada & New Zealand, you may visit the website of Immigration Help, i.e. www.myimmigrationhelp.comYou may send your query at email id- contact@myimmigrationhelp.comWe are: MARA Agents (Australia) + Licensed Adviser NZ Immigration + ICCRC Consultant, CanadaRegards,Sanjayai KapoorRegistered Migration Agent, AustraliaLicensed Adviser New Zealand Immigrationwww.myimmigrationhelp.com
