Living in Kentucky but working in Indiana. How are state taxes done?

Not sure, but this info may help you:
Living in One Taxable State But Working In Another Taxable State
When you live in a state that collects income taxes but work in another state, which also has income taxes, you may fear having to pay taxes twice. It's true that you'll have to pay taxes on your earnings in both states. You will need to file a nonresident return for the state in which you work, plus a normal resident return for the state in which you live. However, the situation is not as bad as it may seem. That's because while you have to file income taxes in both states, the state in which you live will give you a credit for any taxes paid to the nonresident state.

Paying State Taxes in Reciprocal State
A total of 18 states have reciprocal agreements with other states. These agreements allow individuals who live in one state to request an exemption so that their wages do not get withheld in a reciprocal state. So assuming that you work and live in two different states but the two states have a reciprocal agreement, you could ask the state in which you work for an exemption form, which you would fill out and hand to your employer. You then have to file a return for your resident state. If you do this, ask your employer to withhold taxes for your resident state. If it can't, you'll need to make estimated quarterly tax payments to the state in which you live.

First, you get a job. Then you take the "intent to employ" letter the employer gives you to the school office to get a work permit.

Considering NLCS district doesn't have a administration office, I suppose you will have to wait until you can get a hold of someone at the school office. But that should be soon, if they're not there already.

I don't think there's a limit to the number of days, but if it goes over 40 hours I think they're required to pay overtime.

Better place to live: Washington DC or Indianapolis?

I work for the federal government and i'm looking to retire with them.
I work in the financial/accounting sector.
I'm a black american male, single, no kids.
I love cooler weather rather than warmer weather.
