Are Converse shoes comfortable?
Converse All-Stars were first made back in 1912 ...yeah, that's right, 1912.Not much has been done to the basic design in all those years ...maybe a better foam insole but that's about it comfort-wise ...it's amazing they're as comfortable as they are.The thing with All-Stars is a total lack of any acrh support or built-in foot control; you might just as well be wearing soft-soled moccasins. The high tops offer much better ankle support and control than the low tops but you have to cinch the high top lacing snug to get it.If you have no foot problems and a good strong arch, yeah, All-Stars can be alright for a days wear ...but your dogs are gonna be complaining at the end of that day ...especially if you spend most of it on your feet. If you need good arch support and foot control in a sneaker then forget it; you'll be miserable. All-Stars were designed as basketball shoes and most round ball games don't last but maybe an hour or so; they were *never* intended for all day wear.That being said, you can try to upgrade the comfort and support factor by inserting new insoles. With all the high-tech sport shoe insoles out there today you may actually be able to greatly improve the comfort of All-Stars and provide a modicum of arch support. Remove the originals and try to keep them intact as much as possible. The idea is to be able to make a template using the old insole to cut a new insole so it will fit correctly. I've never tried this before but I have read where the new All-Star II has, among other minor improvements, a more modern supportive, cushier insole.
Should I get high cut converse or low cut?
I always had low tops and I loved them bc I always wore them w/ jeans. But I recently got my first pair of high tops for the summer bc I wear shorts. So if u r going to wear shorts I think high tops are cuter but if you can't even see the top bc ur wearing pants. As far as what to wear them with, it really depends on the color. For brighter colors, I would wear something more simple like shorts and a tee, but for more neutral like black and white, dress them up with maybe a brighter tee or layers:) Good Luck! Should I wear converse with my graduation dress?
So I already bought my dress. It's until the knees, strapless. The bottom part of it is black and it has this ribbon belt thing thats magenta and then the top part is white with polka dots(black and magenta).its really cute.I hate heels so there's noo way im gonna wear them.the thing is my school are those religous schools so i have to wear leggings (Suxx) but ya..it's a type of dress that would look OK with them..though you shouldnt wear leggings with dresses.anyways i dont wanna wear flats or heels, but my dress would look really awesome with converse or sneakers (high tops). i was wondering if it would be bad to wear them. my graduation is only 45 minutes and we'll be sitting the whole time (another reason i dont want heels, why make myself uncomfortable if its so short). all my friends say it would look cool,but im still thinking on converse or flats. its a bubbly dress and i dont wanna look boring. my dress looks something like this except the part under the belt is black and the belt thing is magenta and the top part is white with small polka dots. http://www.splendicity.com/styleitless/f... also what color shoe should i wear?it should be a solid color. thank you. if you dont think i should wear converse just say i shouldnt.dont say its ugly and blablabla.just say simply no, go with flats or something.
Converse Shoes for a wedding?
Actually, quite a few people already do that. Go on www.offbeatbride.com and you can see loads of pictures where the entire wedding party is wearing Converse. And my friend who is getting married next year already has a white pair of Converse picked out that she is going to change into for the reception.
Best colour and type of CONVERSE?
Black is basic and goes with everything. Pink is girly, doesn't go with as much but still cute. White is a neutral color but gets dirty easier. High tops are great with shorts, minis, bermudas, and super cute. Low tops go with more like skinny jeans, flared, shorts, skirts, even casual dresses. Good luck! Hope I helped! =)
