5'7 and 97 pounds?

Wow, I am a 5'7.5" male and weigh 170. I am fit and work out all the time. My mother in law is 4'11" and weighs around 100. She is slim and very attractive for an older lady. I am very fit and have gained 1 inch waist size since I was 14. You probably are a little slim for your height. I am guessing that you are a size 2 or less. To be honest your weight of 97 pounds sounds small and you should work out to gain a little muscle mass which will bring you back over 100 pounds. At 5'7" I am thinking anything under 115 is really skinny unless you have a very petite bone structure.

I'm 17 and 5'8. I weigh 96 pounds. Am I healthy?

I was probably the only person in the world other than you that weighed same as you having same height when i was 17 yrs old.And Top of it, i had to survive 5 yrs due to education at such location where food was horrible. And my weight remained same for those 5 yrs i.e till 22 yrs. Even girls who were 6-7 yrs younger, looking bigger than me at that point of time. And girls of my age were used to behave with me like a kid and lift me easily and compare my tiny arms to their bulky arms. It was getting really embarrassing.Once i was out from that location, I started gaining pretty fast without any workout for next 6 months and again it consolidated for 6 months and cycle followed multiple times and now i am 25.5 yrs and weigh around 135 pound. In those 3.5 yrs i have gained about 40 pound. 1 month back, First time i have started going to gym. Because earlier whenever i tried, i couldn't continue because of the following reasons.Unable to lift weight due to lean body and almost no fat, Very low stamina.Gym is for building muscle, but if fat is not there at all. Then how one gonna build muscle. But now i had build my stamina, gained some fat. So i feel this is right time to be regular at gym.So it's never late. My suggestion is not to join gym now. First start eating more and healthy food and have regular exercises like push up(most handy one). Once you gain some fat, then it will be better to join.

I'm 10 years old, but 130 pounds. Am I overweight or fat?

I would not do drastic changes without consulting a doctor. That said, if you are overweight, it means your current diet is not optimal for your body. There are a few changes you can do that are very safe and easy. You don't provide much detail in your post, so I can only make assumptions.First, what do you normally drink? I know at your age I drank lots of sodas. One single can of soda has more sugar than an adult male should consume in an entire day. All the extra sugar just gets stored as fat. Consider drinking water instead. Not juice, not diet soda, just plain water.I also had candy and desert every chance I got. Consider skipping the desert or having some fruit instead. Many kids avoid vegetables. I know kids that have never had a salad until they were 20. Ideally one should eat vegetables in every single meal. Those are weight loss 101 tips. Those are low risk things you can do. No doctor will advice against those things. What you don't want to do is stop eating and starve yourself to lose weight. Not only it's not effective, but it is flat out dangerous. This is really where you want professional help. You are about to go through puberty, this makes it very easy for you to slim down, but you do need to improve your habits.Losing weight and keeping it off is hard work. It will mean permanent changes to your lifestyle. Changing any habit is hard work. You might read the advice above and think it would be to hard to do. The good news is that you get used to it. If you were to start today, a month from now it would be second nature to you.

Is a 5'2 12 year old girl who weighs 137 pounds overweight?

Well...let's look at the data. According to the standard weight and stature charts available from the US National Center for Health statistics, and against which a pediatrician should be assessing your growth, a 12 year old girl who is 5'2" and 137lbs is right at the 95th percentile for weight (meaning fewer than 5% of 12 year olds weigh as much) and about the 77th percentile for stature (meaning fewer than 23% of 12 year olds are taller. In loose terms, someone in the 77th percentile for height is of average weight if they are also in the 77th percentile for weight. Being in the 95 percentile puts you above average, but how concerned you should be about that is not obvious--so.Let's plug your stats into the WebMb teen BMI estimator at FIT Teens BMI CalculatorAccording to these, you are smack in the middle of the overweight category, but not yet obese. So, the good news is, the younger you are, the easier it is to change. You might see amazing results just by playing outside like we did back in pre-Internet days. Or by switching to healthier snacks. I'll share a tip from my daughters----if you snack on apples and carrots, dad is a lot less likely to raid you shelf in the pantry.

Are propane tanks safe to use in hot weather?

I live in California where it is frequently 110 degrees out. I use my propane grill all the time and I have never had an issue with the outside temperature. Just try to keep it out of direct sunlight and I don't see you ever having any problems. Most propane tanks are white and will reflect the suns rays and help keep the tank cooler.
