Would It Be Okay For Me To Go To The Gym Everyday

Should we go to gym everyday?

onemoretry, it certainly won't hurt you if you do. When I was at my peak I went Monday to Saturday. Monday was chest & tricep day since the tricep muscles are used in the chest routines. I would work the larger muscle group first being chest then finish with the triceps and work to fatigue. If you want to build or add size do heavy weights 80 - 110 % of max for 3 - 6 reps for 5 or 6 sets. If you want to maintain do 75 - 80% of max for 3 or 4 sets 8-10 reps . Tuesday was back & bis day. Wednesday was shoulders & forearms. Thursday was cardio only - 20 minutes each of cycle, treadmill, stairmaster, rowing machine, eliptical. Friday was legs day - quad, hams, calves & leg presses. Saturday was what do I feel like I need to hit again day but not legs - usually arms - bicep, tricep, forearms.
In addition to the weights I would usually do an aerobics class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday for 45 minutes after my weights. If you do aerobics before your weights you will be too tired to do your weights properly.

NOW the only thing I really want to caution you about is becoming obsessed with the gym. It happened to me. I was so used to going that I needed it like a drug. If I was sick I still would go because the body craved it. If I took a day off I felt super guilty. I was in the best shape of my life but it was time consuming. If you figure it out 45 minutes of aerobics, 1 hour - 90 minutes of weights, 15 minutes on the bike before and after weights along with 15 minutes of stretches which are very important and sit ups or ab work each day. Throw some therapy pool , sauna or steam room time in and a shower and you are there for 3 hours minimum.

Also if you feel pain stop. Don't hesitate to seek help from a physio therapist or chiropractor/ART specialist. Don't work the same muscle two days in a row. You need rest in order for the torn muscles to heal and grow. You should also change up your routine every 6 weeks so that your muscles don't get used to it and also the schedule. If you feel better going Monday - Friday with cardio day dropped then take the weekend off or just do some cardio, bike riding, rollerblading, or tennis on the weekend.

Is it good to go to the gym every day or every other day?

Depends on your fitness goals and objectives. It's good to start with workout with weights every alternate day and cardio on the other days for 6 days a week with one rest day each week. Sessions each day can be 45 - 90 mins on the strength training days. Cardio doesn't have much benefit beyond 30-45 mins - and excessive cardio may interfere with muscle building goals.Your weight seems to be in the normal range for your height and age. To help build more muscle mass - you need to move to high protein diet including primarily eggs and white meats - also sprouts and dals. There should be a decent amount of coloured vegetables. Go slow on the high starch stuff (potatoes, rice, corn etc.). There would be those who advise additional whey protein, but am personally not a great fan.You need about 100 calories in before each workout - just an apple or a few nuts (almond/ walnut/ hazelnuts) work well, at least 30 min prior. Lots of water required through the day - not much during the workout - just sips. Getting a good amount of protein in within 20-30 mins after the workout is important. Also add a multivitamin supplement after breakfast, calcium post dinner. Have ORS (electral) or lime water with some salt and honey on days you've let out a lot of sweat - this is not essential, just use your judgement. All the best :)

Should I go to the gym every day?

You can go as often as you like. Yes, you have to rest.It depends on your circumstances.Olympic weightlifters train twice daily, normally 5–7 days per week. Four hours in the gym every day.Elite powerlifters train less - I have friends who squat 1000lbs+ but only train squats 3x/month.(The difference is that powerlifters have a lot of eccentric work in their routines, which takes more adaptation). If you take steroids, you can train as much as you want - but you run the risk of tendon injuries and other minor niggles.Daily is normally not optimal for people, but if two of the days are for mobility/stretching/massage/minor muscles (rotator cuff, gluteus medius) you can consider that ‘active recovery’. Daily also is a problem for people with jobs - and people like me who have to travel a lot for work.So … the best advice I can give you is to keep a diary and find out what works for you. Try 4x/week for starters, check your results and decide if you want to adjust in any way.Watch for signs of overtraining. You need to rest more if:(1) constantly tired(2) low motivation to train(3) insomnia(4) aching muscles(5) persistent minor infections (e.g. cold, sore throat)(6) loss of appetite(7) loss of libidoIf you get over half the list, time to back off. Take a complete break. When you are ready to go back - wait two more days, then go for it and learn from your experience.Good luck.

What makes you want to go to the gym everyday?

I am trying to get myself to the gym everyday, but lately I have been feeling sick and my 7 month old has been waking up every night. I don't have time at night, because I come home late from work and the gym is usually packed by that time. So the only way for me to go to the gym is early in the morning. I understand that other people may have this similar lifestyle, but what makes you go to the gym?

Is going to the gym everyday bad for my body?

Over training can definately be an issue.

I do this successfully:

I use weight machines for exercise and train 4 days per week. For cardio I do interval training on my bike (1 minute as hard as I could go and 3 minutes rest, five times)

To your question specifically you must allow your muscles to rest between workouts. Try exercising this way:

leg stuff-day one
shoulders-day two
back and biceps-day three
chest and triceps-day four

Cardio 2-3 times per week, abs every other day.

This allows each muscle group to rest and flush lactic acid
which is the cause of sore muscles.

Is it okay to go to the gym twice a day?

Sure you can. “Two-a-days” are not for everyone, but it depends on the dedication. There are potential benefits — as well as some drawbacks — in working out twice a day. Some people assume exercising twice a day must be bad or unsafe, but this isn’t necessary the case if done correctly. Many people out there is doing so and are freaking fit and active as well.According to John Mandrola MD, “two-a-day workouts can be especially useful, and if used wisely, might lead to safer more effective training.”If you’re working out multiple times per day, getting enough rest is essential.Make sure you take at least one day completely off each week, if not two or more.If you’re going to get the benefits of working out twice a day without wearing yourself out, you absolutely must focus on eating right.Experts recommend eating a relatively large meal with both complex and simple carbs, as well as plenty of protein, immediately after your first workout; eat a similar meal prior to your second workout. Do you go to the gym every day? What impact can it have on your life in general?

I go to the gym almost everyday, besides on days I absolutely can’t. You can pretty much guess the effects of going every day and hanging out with your gym friends and stuff.Big gang in muscles. This is NOT a piture of me, just some dude off google. I only got it to give you an idea of the change i went through. When I started to work out, I went to the YMCA and still do. And I was fat back then, and I went there being pessimisitic about the working out. But I kept on going and going because people there were cool to hang out with. One day I was so focused on the tread mill, I reached the runners high. I knew what it was because I did research on the benefits. So I wanted to become from fat to buff, like the photo above, and I did over a few months. When they say working out makes you happy in the long run, they don’t lie. I became more buff then before and became more optimistic about going to the YMCA. Awesome!I felt less tired. As the day after day working out thing happened, I was able to wake up and be energetic earlier. I was able to run for a long time without a break. I could focus on school for longer hours and retain more of it. It felt like all the toxins went out of my body, almost. Till one day I learned that there needs to be a break time.So by now in the story, you already figured out I work out a lot, but there is one thing that people don’t relies about working out, there needs to be a break time. So one day I went to the ymca after a few days in a row of going hard. I knew there needed to be breaks but I went anyway. Dumb move on my part. So I checked into the thing with my Y pass and I put a lot of weght on the thing like usual. But I did not think. A muscle on my chess felt funny, specifically on the left side stretching from my solder to the middle of my chess. It was like a little tight, and i knew then I needed to take a break, it was tight and stiff, and it hurt like a motherfucker. I had to take a few week break to let it heal, I don’t actually remember how long the break was but it was long.So after the break was done and I started to go back to the ymca, I lost some strength. But I’m starting to gang it back to where i was.Lesson of the story, you need breaks but working out often helps your body.

I'm 15 and workout everyday at the gym for 2 hours?

You should not lift every day. The only muscle group safe to work out every single day is your abs. Bench pressing every day will lead to injuries and will slow your progress. You should not be benching any more than 2 times a week, and never on consecutive days. To really make quick progress, you have to rest your muscles. So if you do chest and triceps one day, do back and biceps or legs the next. Also, If you want to grow, you need to eat to grow. Make sure you eat a lot of lean meat, especially chicken and fish. Lifting does not stunt your growth, but you should be careful with how much you try to lift, because at your age you can really ruin your joints if you overdo it. Drink a whey protein shake before and after your workouts. Also, drink a lot of water and get enough sleep.
