Do you automatically assume that you have bad breath if someone offers you a mint (and you didn't ask for it)?
I just like to share, but it does make me a bit paranoid when someone offers ME one :-))
Would you offer someone a piece of gum or mint if their breath smells horrible without them asking for it? Is it considered rude and would they notice you're bothered by it?
This is easy one for me as there is constantly gum around my person. When there is someone I am with and their breath isn’t the best, I will always pop a piece into my mouth and offer them one. If they take it, great, if not, then I deal with it, and wouldn’t take it further than that, unless I am very close to/comfortable with the person, and they would be appreciative of being made aware. More often than not, they’ll take a piece, anyway.It seems a bit gentler than what someone had done to me once, with their tone clearly being more a “buddy, you need this”.According to Colgate’s website, some studies have reported that approximately 50 percent of the adult population does have it due to external (ie - a type of food eaten) or internal (ie - certain bacteria factors in the mouth) factors, it’s probably a fair bet you or someone you know experiences it at some point. Nothing wrong with being prepared.However, if someone’s nose is running or they need a tissue to wipe something away, I would let them know without hesitation, as I would want someone to let me know.
How do I know if my breath smells?
i tried the licking the back of the hand thing but it almost always smells bad...even after I brush. I am afraid to kiss my boyfriend b/c I think that my breath is bad and my saliva tastes weird. I heard that if you chew gum it only makes it worse true or false? What are some good methods to find out is you have bad breath and how do you make it go away?
How to tell if you have bad breath?
If you want to be discrete, go up to a random person and say "Hhhhhi, my name's Hhhhharold! You're so funny! Hahahahaha!!!" Lots of emphasis on the h's, especially during the laugh. If they cringe and look away and make a weird face, then your breath is baaaad. If they have any other reaction, you're good. Lol. DO NOT do that unless you're desperate. Your breath usually smells after you eat anything with dairy, or anything sugary or very salty, fishy, or smells bad. Same case when you don't drink enough water. You usually have a bad taste in your mouth if your breath smells bad. If you have a bitter, sour, or salty taste in your mouth or you can feel the temperature in your mouth is hotter than normal, then its probably bad. ALWAYS carry a pack of mints in your bag or pocket for those moments, and drink a lot of water. If you have any suspicion, eat a mint. You can also wear strong smelling lip balm in a pinch, but there's no guarantee that this will always mask the smell of your breath. If you have any suspicion that your breath may be kind of stinky, eat a mint. "Just in case" never hurts. Good luck!!!

There is no excuse. Smoking, and nothing else, makes your breath smell like smoke.

It is an infection. The ooze is puss,made up of white corpuscles and body fluids that are fighting and encapsulating the bacteria that is attacking you. It smells because it was starting to rot. Clean the wound,dab on peroxide with a cotton ball, coat it in Neosporin Ointment, and cover lightly with gauze. Once a day soak it in hot water( as hot as you can stand ) and a couple tablespoons of Epson Salts for 1/2 hour. If it gets sore and red go to a doctor and get some antibiotics so you don't get blood poison.
