Is football boring to watch on television as compared to cricket?
I am compelled to share my story here.Ever since I can remember, I have been watching both Cricket and Football on Television. When I was much younger, I used to prefer watching Cricket over Football. The reason being my perception then that Football was a bit boring as there are hardly more than 1 or 2 goals in the entire match. You have to wait 40, 60, 70 and sometimes more than 80 minutes to watch a goal being scored. On the other hand, something keeps happening in almost every over in Cricket, whether it’s a wicket or a boundary or even a six. Please keep in mind I’m talking about ODI Cricket here. The other reason was that I had no emotional attachment to any Football team whereas I was a fan of the Indian Cricket Team.However, things changed as I grew up. I started watching Football more and more and became emotionally attached to an EPL team. I started to follow them and my love for Football developed as well. I started to realize that watching Football is much more fun than I initially thought. Unlike Cricket where the excitement is more towards the start and end of the innings, a Football game keeps up the tempo throughout the match. Also, nowadays Cricket has become a game of ‘who can hit more sixes, rather than a contest between bat and bowl. Bowlers keep bowling and batsmen keeps hitting them out of the park. According to me, that’s pretty one-dimensional. Football is much more interesting to watch as there are different tactics used by different managers.As already pointed out in few of the answers; the length of the game matters as well. A typical ODI match takes more than 7 hours; a typical T20 match takes more than 3 hours and no need mention a typical test match here. As everyone knows how long it takes to conclude. On the other hand, a typical football match takes 90 minutes to conclude. This makes investing your time on a Football match much easier. To conclude, my loyalties have somewhat shifted from Cricket to Football. Although I still watch an awful lot of Cricket, I prefer to watch Football because of its so much more interesting and keep you glued to the Television screen.
Can you change a team name once you have already registered for a Spartan Race?
I want to create a team for a Spartan Race, but the team can't decide on a name. If I make the team, then we decide on a different name later, can I change the name then?
