Would It Look Alright For A Young Guy To Wear Moccasins With Khaki Pants

What man should wear with linen pants?

The best shoes with linen pants particularly for a more casual look would be a pair of Leather Sandals, Deserts Boots, Venetian Loafers or even Moccasins.Suede loafers or shoes complement a pair of linen pants well and you can even opt for canvas sneakers for a more casual look. For a more formal look, although I would not suggest linen pants for a formal occasion, you can go for smooth leather or suede dress shoes. Here are some examples that you can have a look at, Best Chukka Boots – British Military Style Desert Boots, Best Sandals for High Arches, Top 10 Best Selling Sneakers of All Time.

Can men wear linen shirts and pants year-round, or only in the summer?

I think men can wear anything at any time, but you are probably asking whether this is considered fashionable, acceptable, well-dressed, or some such thing. Let's assume that what you want to know is whether linen clothing is considered socially appropriate in stuffier business, social and political affairs in North America. There is a very easy way to determine whether something is considered socially appropriate business attire in a given season: do upscale clothing stores (Macy's, Nordstrom, and the like) sell it at the beginning of that season? In my experience, at least in Virginia, suits made of cotton (including cotton corduroy) and linen are only sold in the spring and summer, and they're hard to find even then. It is obviously not expected that you want to wear them in the winter, or else they'd be sold in the fall and winter, too.The answer appears to be different if instead of a suit you want something slightly less formal ("business casual"), say a separate jacket (now called "sportcoat") and pair of slacks. For some reason, while the separate coats and slacks are often indistinguishable from the coats and slacks that make up suits, they are considered less formal, and therefore there is a wider variety available. In particular, they will sometimes sell corduroy and other cottons in the fall and winter.I have never, however, seen linen sold by places catering to a business crowd in the fall and winter. Occasionally you'll see it in places like Banana Republic, but they are actually catering to young people who want to dress on the edge between socially acceptable and eccentric where high stylishness lies—and as such they are not a reliable indicator of socially acceptable dress.(I particularly care about this because I am allergic to wool. When I need to dress up, I tend to forego a formal suit and instead wear corduroy sportscoats and slacks in roughly matching colors. This looks mildly eccentric by DC standards, but still nice, and won't make me sneeze. In case you're wondering, Dockers makes nice corduroy sportcoats, which you can usually find at Kohl's. I am soon moving to Northern California and I am expecting that the problem of having to occasionally dress up will go away.)

First day of work. Orientation dressing casual but no jeans??

People who work in call centers have a tendency to dress down. If they don't start that way, they eventually wind up dressing in very casual attire while doing call center or customer service work.

The orientation day, however, you will be meeting and greeting a large number of future associates, managers, supervisors, direct supervisors and possibly operations managers
=
don't dress down.

I wouldn't suggest any type of a suit (obviously) but dress well. I would categorize the look you're going for as "upscale casual" and/or "upscale business casual".

Nice quality (preferably) dark khakis or upscale, flat-front, well-fitting trousers in cotton. A cool, thin (almost preppy) shirt (button down, but a lean and younger version). Not a stuffy, Brooks bros type button-down shirt. A solid, non-busy, interesting, solid shade with (sounds not cute but IS) a sweater vest. If you can't stomach that..go for an upscale polo shirt with pressed, well fitting, flat-front khakis..and loafers vs. any sneakers, etc.

Sport jacket in navy with a classic cut and style, a muted, cotton polo shirt (good quality), and darker khakis..with leather loafers would be perfect.

You'll be the best-dressed, new-hire they have. Everyone else will pale by comparison. Management will take notice. You will appear to be more together, sharper, more clever, more on the ball, quicker, and more capable person.

Can a younger, middle-aged guy wear penny loafers?

If you are wearing shorts and a polo shirt and no socks, you should wear sneakers. Boat shoes would also work.Penny loafers are nice, but less so with shorts. They are better with khakis, but not khaki shorts. Re: socks, it might be ok to wear sport socks with shorts and sneakers. Obviously.Wearing a polo shirt, shorts, and no socks and penny loafers reminds me of what my uncle wore in the 1960s and 70s. He was in his 40s and low 50s. Do you think no socks is cool? You want to get bitten up by mosquitoes?

Business Casual for an 18-Year-Old?

I was a jeans and hoodie girl myself before I started working. Fortunately, there are ways to make business casual comfortable and even fun.

Unfortunately, you're probably going to have to compromise somewhere. Since it sounds like skirts aren't your think, I'd recommend taking a walk through your local Abercrombie. You'll see racks of khakis, cords and other non-jeans. Pants made for someone your age will be much more fun and a lot more flattering than more traditional slacks. And they should still be business casual appropriate as long as they're not ripped or frayed.

If you want to try a skirt, you can always pair it with a pair of tights or opaque nylons and ballet flats to make it more comfortable.

Most importantly, I don't know what you mean by "professional" shoes, but a good pair of shoes, even a pair of stiletto pumps, should never leave your feet bloody! (Tired - yes, bloody - no.) Your shoes may not have been broken in or they may not have fit properly, despite being the correct size.

After your feet heal, you can try wearing them around the house with a thick pair of socks to "break them in." If that doesn't help - throw them out!

And don't feel like professional shoes means 3" heels. There are plenty of cute and professional looking flats out there. Ballet flats are comfortable and stylish and are available everywhere in just about every color imaginable. And Sketchers has some shoes that are nice looking but still feel like your favorite pair of sneakers.

Whatever you choose to wear, make sure you're comfortable in it. After all, confidence is always your best asset, and you'll never be confident if your feet are bleeding and your clothes make you miserable!

Is it ever OK to wear brown shoes with black pants?

When it comes to the topic of black and brown going together, nobody is ever on the fence. Some say yes and some say no. But here’s my take on it.Yes - if you’re wearing casual clothing but only with a dark chocolatey kind of brownNo - if you’re wearing a suit. When it comes to casual looks for men, it’s definitely okay to wear black jeans with brown leather shoes. However, it’s definitely a lot safer to mix the black with a darker chocolatey brown. This looks great:This looks a bit off:Here’s what a black suit looks like with brown shoes:Although Zac Efron has one of the most attractive heads in the world right now, the strong contrast between the black suit and the brown shoes puts the brown shoes out of place. This leads viewers to look down at his shoes rather than up at his face.He could probably improve this look so viewers are led to his face by wearing a brown belt and adding a tiny bit of red on his tie. That would definitely bring some balance into his outfit. The reason why black and brown don’t work with a suit is becauseBlack is generally associated with formal attire: Black tie events, White tie events, funerals etc.Brown at lighter shades are associated with earthy colour whilst black is solid, sleek and literally just one colour. Mixing “earthy” with “sleek” don’t work together.Hope this clears up some confusion.
