Would Martin Luther King Jr. Approve Of Obama

How would Martin Luther King and Malcolm X have judged President Obama?

I feel that a young Malcom X wouldn't have approved of our President. However, the Malcom of his later years (39 years of age when he died) would have liked and supoorted President Obama. As the decisions our President has made during his time in office go against the grain of what young Malcom stood for. Young Malcom was on a bad path, while he thought he was an individual he was more of a conformist. It wasn't until the end of his life, when his true influence of good will/peace is able to be seen (and historically more recognized for). It is this Malcom that would have stood behind our President. As their ideals may not have been exactly the same, I could see through mutual respect them each helping one another meet goals peacefully on a national and possibly global level. (But who knows, it's the future, maybe their ideals would be more in line with one another!) As for MLK, I feel that that he and Obama both are very much on the same plane of thought as to what they want to accomplish. I feel that Obama has done a great deal to bring together some of the broken areas (racially/religiously/gender) within our country. This is what MLK was trying to do..perhaps Obama just took it a step further. Which, in all fairness, was much easier for the President to accomplish (though no easy feat) than MLK, because well, he's the President of the United States. Whether it be Malcom X or Martin Luther King Jr, while the battles they fought for the people of our country where for different reasons/causes; I like to believe that today they both would have backed out President and been proud of the progress he has made across our nation during his time in office. We may not agree all the time (believe me, I didn't vote for him) but he has done a fine job to try and unify us.

How did gandhi help martin luther king jr?

Gave him the idea of what MLK could with NON-violence

What do you think Martin Luther King Speech?

1. What is the difference between the speech as read and the speech as delivered?
2. Is this, in your opinion, and informative speech? A persuasive speech? An epideictic (commemorative) speech? Why do you think so?
3. How did Dr. King's cultural experiences and personal values contribute to the weight of his words?

What does Martin Luther King mean when "every hill and mountain shall be made low"?

Maybe he means minimizing the troubles, like a regular sized mountain or hill would be tough to go over, but a smaller one would be easier. I hope I helped.

Anybody think Martin luther king day is a stupid holiday?

And no I am not racist I just wanted to see what people thought. Because most people dont even care about the holiday they just want the extra day off from work or school.

Is Obama up to something that will change America forever?

Obama has already stated he has a plan to completely change America as we know it. I for one have no doubt that he intends to cripple this country and leave it defenseless while we try to unravel the legal position we will be thrust into

There will be a series of executive actions, martial law decrees and attacks from Muslims around the world. All of which will be extremely difficult to correct when he orders actions against American law enforcement.

You may sit around with your heads strategically placed where sunlight never penetrates until he drops the hammer on all the blind American Gimmee-crats. Most of you will be incarcerated or dead before you don't show up at home after work one day.

I am convinced the plan includes wiping out 25% of Americas population, while major countries around the globe suffer the same plan of attack.

Laugh while you are able, your certain enslavement is very close at hand.
I hope as you watch your world end you remember, I'm giving you the finger
