If the US attacked North Korea for its nuclear tests, leading to WW3, who would be blamed?
it would not lead to a world war at all unless we accidentally bombs china or south Korea. NK doesn't have the power to even send a rocket 40 km (or m I forget) but on the other hand the US can send one ICBM (something that NK doesn't have.) 4,000 miles. we were primed to bomb Russia we could definitely hit NK so... in the whole " who would be blamed" most likely because NK tried to nuke us but we would nuke them so yea. that's how that would go, but again it's not possible for NK to start something.

What would happen if they did? I live in the UK but I was wondering. Would America just completely destroy North Korea with their nukes and would it start world war 3? If that happened would Britain get involved? Thanks.

No. The N. Korean dictator, Kim, is volatile and maybe paranoid, but not insane. He is exceedlingly jealous and possessive about his power and prestige. He will not destroy that by inviting a massive US attack that will devastate his country and end his powers.Likewise, the US does not have a President who is going to play games that would lead to WW III. He has some strong generals around him who do have great influence and will keep him from any foolish adventures. Yes, Pres. Trump tweets and issues alarming statements, but he will not commence an attack that will lead to war with N. Korea.Could such a war happen? Yes, by miscalculation, or because some violent and shocking incident occurs between US and N. Korean forces, or because Kim suddenly becomes unstable and loses touch with reason.

I think a preemptive strike by the US could start a major war. China fought in the Korean war on North Korea's side. I war between the US and China would be a huge war. North Korea has been acting so irrationally that China has voted with the US to increase sanctions.If North Korea attacked South Korea, the US would come to the South Koreans aid, and China would stay out of it. The one of the main reasons China was involved in the Korean War is that in the UN counterattack, they drove very close to China's border.

War may be there but surely not WW3.Following events are most likely to happen:1. Firstly, the Nuclear War is least likely to occur between USA & North Korea. Kim Jong Un will not like to evaporate in air. China will also never like such a thing happening near their border & would show off as mediating at the time of peak tension (while in fact China would be telling Kim that the time to behave has come. In extreme situation, China would also depose him).2. If Nuclear War is indeed started by North Korea, neither China nor Russia will participate in it. At that time, they would also like to get rid of Kim Jong Un. But they would surely show off their anger against USA.3. In such a nuclear war with whatever missiles North Korea has (I doubt if its missiles can reach USA- Hawaii or Main Land? It is also possible that all its missiles are bogus. Yes, there is remote possibility that it may attack South Korea or Japan), counter attack by USA will definitely wipe away North Korea’s base.4. Even if North Korea does not start a war, USA will have to do it to call the North Korea’s bluff, but with conventional warfare & not Nukes.5. For both 3. & 4. above, Trump shall have full US public support as he shall claim (& rightly so) that he has pre-empted Pearl Harbor or 9/11 type attacks. Possibly, the two Koreas shall unite under US protection.6. China’s position will be strengthened if 1. above happens but shall be weakened if 2. to 4. happen.To Sum it up, this is right time for USA/ South Korea/ Japan to get rid of Kim Jong Un or tame him. Continue to keep pressure on North Korea and don’t blink first in the war of nerves of Eye to Eye contact. Talk soft but carry a big stick. The nuisance of North Korea will end, with or without Kim Jong Un.

No. NK has no allies. NK were useful to China for many decades, providing a physical barrier between China and thousands of US troops is South Korea. But China ran out of patience with NK some time ago and wouldn't help them out. The worst I can see happening is that NK fire a missile at Japan, or the west coast of the US. This is enough provocation that the world has to finally step in. The war and rebuilding thereafter will be a messy and expensive process.

This war is no benefit for China, no for USA.
